They drove into the city, a hectic expanse of buzz and euphoria, she was instantly stunned, why hadn't she noticed this when she came here last, The dire situation she was in at that time had canceled out the beauty of the place.
The higher heighties called this place a rugged city..they called this place a waste land, a place not meant for the weak___but that wasn't what she was seeing as she drove slowly through the streets of the city.
Sure, heigher heights had an objectively better living condition...but it lacked one thing!...Life... there was no ounce of human Energy there... Everyone was just engineerd to behave a certain type of way and go about thier day using a permanent schedule day in day out. Literally, there were no clubs, no fun parties nothing at all...but that was Amelia's life and that has always been her life for as long as she could remember...
But everything was going to change...Jake was sure to make it happen!.
"Like the place?" Jake asked tearing through her sheet of thoughts..she looked at him, chuckled with a teary eye and licked her lower lip..she was devoid of words...
Before her, behind the rear mirror of her car stood the most technological advanced city she had ever seen...there were literally technology...she had only heard in rumors and hadn't believed it then.
Kids on Hoverboards zoomed past thier car chuckling... everyone seemed to have one here, she looked up through the window...the hover boards were numerous, a dense number spluttering around in the sky, she beamed..
The buildings weren't like any others she had seen, heigher heights had a one way building format where everything was a rectangular structure, but here...it was literally a Utopia pf diverse shapes..from the distance she could see a round, spherical glass building, a building of a shape she couldn't make out..a cone, a triangular shaped one...i mean... enough to make her think she had seen it all.
"Take a right" Jake said again tearing through her thoughts, this annoyed her, she stopped apburtly and looked at him...
"What?" He asked bewildered
"Take the wheel" she said sternly and he rolled his eyes and opened the door, came out of the car, went round to the driver seat which was vacant already because She had used the leverage to move to the passanger seat while inside the car.
He sat down, started the car and drove off, Amelia placed her arm on the window, popped out her head and with a smile and a soft blow of wind against her beautiful hair, she continued her admiration.
But a thought striked her head,
"Why even after all these, there is still a high rate of crime here" she asked Jake, who smiled after the question was asked, he cleared his throat as if ready to give a speech and he started
"Because rainbow, this is all a surface appearance...do you know why Racoon city is considered one of the most technological advanced city in the country...heck even the world?".....she shaked her head and he sighed
"Because of the criminal activities... forty years ago this place wasn't this way...it was literally a slum and a very deranged place where you could just one day be shot dead because one of the gang leaders decided that it was your day of reckoning, that is when this place had that reputation and that is why there is little information on the growth of this place"
"Technological advancement came because gang Leader's wanted to have a way of fighting back when one of thier fellow tried them...it started big and fast and before you knew it... every inch of the city, every turf, every corner had at least a military weapon, strong enough to nuke a fucking country"
"What?"
"Yes"
"So are you saying that YOU possess a nuclear weapon?"
"Classified information my sweet, but yes"
"Whoa" ...it was truly a live changing info, so ontop of being a very technological advanced city, everyone also possessed a nuclear weapon??
The car stopped abruptly, she looked around
"We are here" he said and she came down from the car, the street....she recognised it..the same one that saved her from being a road kill story.
She looked around, there was nothing in the vicinity...it was just a large expanse of green grass and stale air...an unusual sight for a heavily industrialised city. Within the grassy area stood a rectangular block with a metal door attached on it...
"Is the liar underground?" She asked and he beamed
"How did you know?" He shrieked smiling wildly as if he had received a compliment for a job well done or something...she shrugged, her expression bland.
"I mean... it's pretty obvious... technologically advanced city, unusually grassy land where nothing but a block with a door is the only structure on it...i mean...give me a fucking break...A smart bitch can clock it all from a mile away" she said and he smiled even harder...
"And I will take it that you are the smart.... bitch?" He asked and she walked up to him, patted his cheeks and walked off, flipping her hair..
"I mean...check the records...i am the smartest bitch in town" she said and walked towards the door...
Jake bit his lip and patted his crotch
"Not now tiger" he grunted as he hit the semi hard log,
"But fuck, she is so hot" he said as she followed her trail, catching up to her in two strides...
They reached the door and he brought out a card from his pocket and swiped it on a long thin opening that was situated on the middle of the door.
It buzzed and beeped, opening automatically.. she hissed
"A key card really?" She said blandly and he laughed...
"A key card that needs my biometrics to activate in order to even have an effect" he said and she shrugged nodding..
"Not baf for a group of thugs" she said and he ushered her in...
"Ladies first" he said and she flipped her hair again before stepping in and he followed suit, the door banged before them and the floor they stood on shook and began lowering it's self down
"So it's like an elevator" she said and he nodded.
"Okay Jake, let's see what your world is giving" she said and they both held hands, smiling at each other.
