Ryan received so many hits from him, making him feel weak and helpless. It's been a really long time Ryan faced someone as strong as this one. He could barely defend himself. Especially since he was the one who initiated the attacks.
The man went around him, kicking him continuously in his abdomen. He coughed and groaned in intense pain.
"Tut-Tut. You may be strong, but you cannot defeat me." he said " You may have forgotten I just sucked a human soul. And I'm much more stronger like you said"
Blood had seeped out of Ryan's temples, his nose and the side of his lips. His clothes were covered in blood and he gasped heavily for air.
He managed to stand again, taking his sword in his hands. He wasn't ready to back down now and get killed by him. He was still bent on his waist forward, with a hand on his chest. His eyes were red and tears misted them.
"You're not tired yet?" the demon asked.
"Not until I kill you" Ryan breathed through his pain.
"You're so confident about that. Even when you're halfway dead" he swung his sword at him, cutting through his other arm, kicking him.
Ryan groaned again when his back hit the ground. How can't he see the sword coming? Why are this damn tears making his eyes blurry?! He was cursing the tears which were nearly blinding his vision. The demon walked to him, placing the blade in Ryan's neck.
"Any last words?" he asked with a smirk. Ryan stared at him with misted eyes. The pain he was going through was so intense he thought he might die from it. Not even from loosing blood.
Ryan's grip on his sword tightened and he lifted it up slowly, without his opponent's knowledge.
"Send...my greetings....to the god of Hades when you arrive there" he said.
The demon's brows creased, his smirk disappearing. Ryan dug the blade into his chest, pushing it deeper inside until it can no longer be pushed.
He staggered backwards in pain and shock. Never did he expect Ryan to outsmart him at such a weak and vulnerable state.
"You son of a ...." blood gushed out of his mouth, making him unable to complete his words. He fell on his knees, before falling on his arm, vanishing slowly like black mist. A ball of light travelled to a certain direction, falling on the corpse by the corner.
At that moment, Ryan made himself invisible so he wouldn't be seen. Still on the floor gasping for air. Or should I say he was actually begging for air.
The man rose up and looked at his hands, then his body, he touched his face.
"I'm...alive" he breathed "I'm alive" "Goodness! Goodness!!!" he stood up on his feet immediately and dashed out. Feeling scared and overwhelmed at the same time.
Ryan's lips stretched into a smile. He had managed to save him. Again. Of course, he knew him.
His bleeding had stopped, but Ryan still felt like he was going to die here. Why is it so painful? Never did he think he would lay in his blood like this. Such a shameful position to be in. He closed his eyes and thought of his room, thus, teleporting into it.

Shin woo dropped Jia over at her house. They both had an amazing time for the past three hours.
Shin woo got down from the car first, opening the door for her. She smiled at that act as she came down.
"Thank you for today" she said "It was really a great evening"
"I'm glad you liked it. I had fun myself" Shin woo said. "So, when shall we meet again?"
He still wants to meet? This is going really well.
"Uh....I'm not sure. I'm usually very busy." Jia said "But, when I have a free time, I'll let you know."
"Alright".
"I'll be.. going in now"
"Okay. Have a good night rest" he said, even though he didn't want them to part now, he just have to let it go because he knows they would meet again.
Jia smiled "You too. Goodnight" she turned to leave
"Goodnight...." Shin woo breathed as he watched her leave.
Then something hit him "Uh...Oh Jia" he called
"Yes?" She answered, turning to him.
"You looked.... extremely beautiful" he said. He wasn't able to tell her last time. So he couldn't afford letting this time pass.
Jia's lips stretched into a smile "Thank you. You....also looked handsome, Kim Shin woo" she said and he smiled warmly. That smile that cause her body to tingle and her heart to race.
"Bye" she said, or else they would continue staring at each other. She walked inside and all he did was stand there until she was out of sight, before going into his car and riding away.
Jia pulled her shoes by the door, and walked into the living room.
"Welcome" Hayden said in a monotonous tone, sipping his coffee without looking at her.
"Hmm... Thank you" she used the same tone as him, making her way to her room.
"Who was that?" Hayden asked and she stopped, turning to him with a look that says 'what's your business?' But he doesn't seem affected by it.
"A friend" she smiled.
"A friend?" Hayden asked with a skeptical look.
"Yes" she replied trying not to explode because this brother of hers asks a lot of questions that irks you to death. Though he looks very calm and quite, when it comes to her, he's so protective.
Hayden's eyes scanned her up and down. "Wow.... You dressed exquisite and somehow formal today. Was it a date?"
God! Why give her this brother?
"Yes" she replied.
"Ah.... I see" he sipped his coffee. And when she thought the interrogation was over, he came again
"What's his name?"
"Why do you care?!"
"I have to know who my sister goes out with. Just in case." Hayden said as he watched his phone.
"It's none of your business!" She said in a calm tone "You don't have to be on the lookout for me anymore, you've done your best. Besides I'm a grown up woman"
"You're just twenty-three and a half" he said, trying to get on her nerves.
"So what?!" She yelled "I can watch myself"
"Really? Do you mean that? I shouldn't watch over you anymore?"
"Of course"
This is the best news ever. Does she know how desperately he had been waiting for her to say this? Watching out for her is so boring and irksome. Though he really loved to do it.
"Okay" he said, like he was a little hurt by her words.
"Is mum home yet?" Jia asked.
"No" he replied and she made her way towards her room.
"Oh...by the way, I'll be leaving tomorrow" Hayden said.
"Oh, thank goodness" she said in a low tone.
"What did you say?"
"I said I'll miss you when you leave." she lied with a pout " I might come visit during weekends"
"No" he said immediately "I don't want you in my house"
"Why is that? Do you live with a girl?"
"Shut up!" he said through clenched teeth and Jia chuckled as she had succeeded in getting back on his nerves.
"It's fun teasing you. Really, I'd miss you" she said and walked away
