Chapter 40 - Power Integration

With the Terraria world still needing a long time to finish upgrading, Ian took the chance to sort through his recent gains.

He dumped everything from the Transmutation Tablet in one go—equipment and materials piling up like a small hill.

"So many good things… which one should I start with?" Ian rubbed his chin as his gaze landed on the weapons from Terraria.

"Zenith, I choose you!"

Ian followed the crafting recipe he remembered, retrieving weapon after weapon.

Copper Shortsword, Enchanted Sword, Bee Keeper, Starfury, Seedler, The Horseman's Blade, Influx Waver, Star Wrath, Terra Blade, Meowmere… finally, all of them merged into a single greatsword blazing with overwhelming radiance.

The moment he held the Zenith, Ian felt the terrifying power inside its blade. With a single casual swing, dozens of brilliant arc-shaped slashes tore across the sky, each one carrying the phantom shadows of countless weapons—like a flowing river of stars, or a meteor shower crashing down.

"Oh-ho, nice! And the single-target DPS is even higher than the Red Matter Katar." It was time to update his arsenal.

He also tried using his Armor Power to shift the Zenith's form, creating the Zenith Axe, Zenith Hammer, Zenith Blade, Zenith Spear… and even a Zenith Toilet.

(Quick patch: It was actually the power of the Transmutation Tablet changing forms, but he didn't know that.)

Next came the abilities from the Genetics Reborn Mod. Ian couldn't wait any longer—he immediately began fusing monster genes.

First was the Ender Dragon. Ian extracted its gene and injected it into himself.

His throat burned as if something inside was about to erupt. Then he opened his mouth and unleashed a stream of purple-black dragon breath. The destructive energy swept out, leaving nothing alive in its path.

At the same time, he felt a strange affinity with space itself, as though he could freely glide through dimensional rifts.

"Strong! Too strong! And this is just the beginning?!"

Next was the Wither gene. Once fused, a black aura of death swirled around him.

With a simple wave of his hand, everything around him rapidly withered. Plants died instantly, and strange black Wither Roses sprouted from the decayed remains.

Another wave summoned several floating skulls filled with deathly power, orbiting around Ian like loyal sentries.

Next was the Eater of Worlds gene. After fusing its gene, Ian felt a dark, corrupting force added to his body, which he named the Power of Corruption.

Corruption spread from his feet. The soil twisted into grotesque forms, sprouting limbs, eyes, and gaping mouths.

Even the Wither Roses around him began to writhe unnaturally.

Wall of Flesh, Queen Slime, Duke Fishron, the Four Celestial Pillars… Ian fused them one after another, gaining limb regeneration, crystal power, holy power, ocean power, invisibility, star power…

Fusing the Golem gene granted Earth Power and Giant Strength. Earth Power was useless to him, since he already had other means to draw power.

But Giant Strength allowed him to enlarge his body—up to 5.33 meters tall. And the bigger he got, the stronger he became.

Ian loved this ability. Everyone knew: bigger means better...

If he ever went to worlds like One Piece or Warhammer, he'd lose in aura alone if he stayed small.

After fusing the Moon Lord gene, Ian felt his spiritual power explode upward. He gained an indescribable force—one that made him unreadable, unmeasurable, indescribable, and unrecordable.

A sharp pain struck his forehead, and finally, a third eye slowly opened there.

The eye shimmered with chaotic colors—deep, mysterious, brimming with cosmic truths.

Ian saw visions he'd never seen before. Twisted, bizarre, indescribable lines became clear—comprehensible.

Finally, he fused the Empress of Light gene, gaining Light Power and Faelight.

Faelight merged with the earlier Holy Power and the indescribable force, and Ian felt completely reborn.

He opened his eyes slowly. A faint golden glow pooled within his pupils, mixed with drifting iridescent hues.

Every gesture was no longer raw power—it was harmony, peace, something serene and divine.

If he had to describe his state now, it would be: "like an immortal, like a Celestial."

Ian felt connected to the world around him—more than ever before. He could sense the flutter of every breeze, the trembling of every leaf, even the soft sound of distant flower buds blooming.

It felt like the world had opened its arms, embracing him gently.

"What… kind of power is this?" Ian murmured, half confused, half enlightened.

He moved his energy, but there was no explosive force nor blinding light—only a quiet, soothing flow. Everywhere his power touched, the chaotic traces from previous gene fusions were smoothed out, ordered.

Even the Corruption Power inside him had become calmer, no longer rampaging to devour everything.

He reached out and touched a Wither Rose growing beside him. The black petals shimmered faintly with gold, and the flower of death now exuded a strange vitality.

The poisons, vibrations, shadows, weather, magnetism, petrification, blood powers he gained from minor monsters all fused into a brand-new ability—Control Power.

Now Ian felt that with a simple movement, he could manipulate most things in the world.

And as he grew stronger, this ability would continue evolving—eventually able to manipulate all things.

"Next, it's time to power up my little brothers." Ian looked at a nearby Elite Wolf Pup.

It carried four affixes: Adaptation, Suppression, Trauma, and Shockwave (with knockback).

He had Zeke use the Soul Stone to reroll a perfect elite mob, then tamed it—turning it into a dog.

Ian fed it tons of rations to max out its level, then maxed its combat skills, plus Riding and Cuteness.

"Little guy, let me show you what real power is!" Ian grinned, injecting the genes of the Moon Lord, Empress of Light, and Queen Slime into the pup.

The dog growled in a low tone as its body shifted. Its fur gleamed with starlight, and a tiny holy eye opened on its forehead.

It looked both indescribable and divine—strange but charming.

"Woof!" The pup wagged its tail and rubbed Ian's leg affectionately.

"Good, good. You're my new subordinate from now on." Ian patted its head.

"Zeke, come pick your genes! I'll carry you to greatness!" Ian shouted in the group chat.

Zeke appeared before him instantly, rubbing his hands excitedly. "Brother Ian! I'm here! Which genes should I choose?"

"You can take up to four now. I recommend Moon Lord, Empress of Light, Queen Slime, and Golem."

"The first three fuse together extremely well—full-spectrum upgrades. The last one makes you bigger!"

"Bigger? Say no more, Brother Ian!" Zeke picked all four without hesitation.
