With the Moon Lord reduced to ash, the world of Terraria finally enjoyed long-awaited peace.
Now that Zeke had discovered he could control the monster spawn rate, the world was no longer overflowing with creatures as before.
Ian kept his promise and brought back the NPCs he had previously transferred to Minecraft.
However, after experiencing the comfort of Minecraft, none of the NPCs wanted to return.
No monsters disturbing them, abundant resources, convenient living, beautiful scenery, good housing, complete facilities…
It was heaven to them.
Even the "luxury matchbox houses" Ian built were treasures in their eyes.
"Hello, Hero. Could we stay here and work for you?" the Princess asked on behalf of everyone, shamelessly leaning closer.
"Yes, yes! We promise we won't freeload!" the other NPCs chimed in, eyes full of hope.
Ian looked at them—so eager and pitiful—and figured he needed manpower anyway.
They were all quite capable, so he decided to go with the flow. "Fine. If you want to stay, stay. But I'll say it now—I don't like freeloaders."
"Don't worry, boss! We can do anything!" the NPCs cheered excitedly.
To make travel easier, Ian stabilized the portal leading to Terraria and promised them, "If you get homesick, you can visit anytime."
With the NPC situation settled, Ian finally had time to sort through the spoils of his Terraria trip.
Piles of powerful equipment and materials were stacked like mountains, dazzling to look at. The equipment was so overwhelming that he set it aside for later.
For accessories, Ian immediately equipped the Cross Necklace and several badges that increased percentage damage.
With his loot organized, Ian moved on to the part he'd been looking forward to the most—opening mods.
He had accumulated quite a few pending mods.
[Terraria World Pending Mod *2]
[Zombie World Pending Mod *1]
[Super Seminary World Pending Mod *1]
A total of four mods waiting to be opened!
The Terraria mods came from the massive Interdimensional Energy generated by Ian killing countless monsters and bosses and rescuing NPCs.
The Zombie World mod came from the hard work of Zambo's brothers.
As for the Super Seminary mod, the energy channel had been completed a few days earlier, allowing Ian to place six energy collectors there to speed up absorption.
"Heheh, it's harvest time!" Ian rubbed his hands excitedly and opened the mod extraction menu.
But before drawing anything, he respectfully bowed toward the Transmutation Tablet. "Great Tablet, bless me with something good!"
Since the Zombie World's overall power level was lower, Ian decided to start with that one.
"DING! Congratulations, you obtained the [Champion / Strong Enemies Mod]!"
[Champion / Strong Enemies Mod]: Adds rare elite mobs to Minecraft with affix systems that make them stronger and more challenging. Some creatures will drop special loot upon death.
"This mod… probably doesn't help me much. Maybe Zambo and his guys can make use of it?" Ian muttered.
"If it helps strengthen them, that's not bad."
At that moment, the Ultimate Transmutation Tablet inside his body pulsed, and something miraculous happened.
A new "AFFIX SLOT" appeared on Ian's interface—he could freely choose five affixes!
"Holy crap, the Tablet has descended!!" Ian instantly perked up and began studying the affixes.
Adaptation: Reduces damage from repeated hits of the same type.
Absolute Zero: Fires homing ice projectiles.
Ashen: Fires homing fire projectiles.
Suppression: Reduces indirect damage (arrows, ender pearls, etc.).
Blasphemy: Generates a damage cloud under the target.
Swiftness: Increases movement speed.
Infestation: Being hit spawns silverfish to attack enemies.
Paralysis: Chance to immobilize the target briefly.
Shockwave: Increases knockback.
Vitality: Improves recovery.
Molten: Increases attack and armor penetration.
Plague: Inflicts Wither on nearby mobs.
Reflection: Reflects part of incoming damage.
Trauma: Chance to inflict grievous wounds (reduced recovery) and vulnerability (increased damage taken).
Protection: Grants periodic damage immunity.
Magnetism: Periodically drags targets toward you.
Imprisonment: Chance to imprison targets on hit.
In the end, Ian chose the following five:
Adaptation—undeniably strong.
Suppression—boosts defense further.
Paralysis—powerful control.
Reflection—too fun to ignore.
Trauma—reduces enemies' recovery.
After acquiring the five affixes, he discovered they could be upgraded using EMC. He immediately maxed them out to Level 5.
Adaptation now triggered faster and could be stabilized with EMC consumption.
Suppression's reduction of indirect damage became dramatically stronger—paired with Adaptation, he could ignore most modern kinetic weapons unarmored.
Reflection now reflected 50% of the raw, unmitigated damage.
Paralysis had a higher trigger rate.
Trauma had improved activation and grievous-wound potency.
Feeling the surge of new power inside him, Ian couldn't hold back his shout: "Ultimate Transmutation Tablet! Eternal god!"
Riding his good luck (or the Tablet's goodwill), he moved on to the Super Seminary mod.
"DING! Congratulations, you obtained the [Genetics Reborn Mod]!"
[Genetics Reborn Mod]: Allows players to extract biological genes and inject them into themselves or others (others have a limit).
"Extracting genes? Damn, that's strong!" Ian felt himself step even closer to invincibility. "Transmutation Tablet deity, you're amazing!"
Next, he opened the two Terraria mods.
"DING! Congratulations, you obtained the [Genius Puppy Mod]!"
[Genius Puppy Mod]: Grants dogs a leveling system and 19 unique talents. Feeding them food upgrades them. Talents increase combat ability, utility functions, or even allow riding.
Then Ian opened the final mod.
DING! Congratulations, you obtained the [Terraria Calamity Mod]!
"Calamity?! Just like that?!" Ian was stunned. This mod introduced many powerful bosses, weapons, items, and new features.
[Please select the world for Calamity generation. Eligible worlds: Overworld, Terraria World]
Ian, Zeke, and a group of NPCs sat together to discuss.
"Ahem," Ian cleared his throat. "Any thoughts on where to generate the Calamity content?"
"I think Terraria is better," Zeke said first. Now that he could control spawn rates, he was confident. "I'll use the Calamity bosses for practice."
The Princess folded her arms, worried. "But… aren't Calamity bosses really strong? What if you…"
"No worries. With me and Brother Ian, Calamity bosses are nothing."
"That's right," Ian smiled. "It'll be easy."
"Then it's decided!" Ian slapped the table. "Calamity will generate in the Terraria World!"
