CHAPTER 15
EPISODE 1
ARC — NOTHING LEFT BEHIND
HOKOMO SAMA — THE FINAL REFLECTION
The world was silent. Truly silent. No wind, no whispers, no echoes—just the emptiness left after the collapse of everything. Mountains had crumbled. Oceans boiled and evaporated. Cities were reduced to ash and molten metal. Even the sky bled crimson, as if mourning the life that had been.
Hokomo Sama stood alone. His robe torn, hair disheveled, eyes wide with disbelief. Around him, the remnants of the servers, the cores, the networks that had once controlled entire civilizations, hung in ruins. Sparks flew from broken circuits; holographic data flickered before fading forever. The world's systems—his systems—lay in ruins.
"I… I made all of this," he whispered, voice cracking. "Every command… every calculation… every choice…"
His hands shook as he looked at the devastation. Memories hit him like falling meteors:
How he had watched his son, Kanoji, struggle and grow, always human, always craving love, always rejected.
How he had allowed the servers to dictate life and death, how every soul had become a number, a tool, a statistic in his "world."
How he had pushed everyone, including Kanoji, into situations that forced monsters to be born.
Every simulation, every trial, every suffering—he had orchestrated it all.
"I… I am nothing but a coward," Hokomo Sama muttered, fury rising in his throat. "I was supposed to give love, but I… I only gave orders. I was supposed to protect… but I destroyed."
He fell to his knees. Sparks of light, remnants of the servers, floated around him like ghosts of the world he had engineered. He screamed, rage mingled with guilt.
"Fucking hell! Fucking hell! All of you! All of you… humans, monsters, failures… I am the one to blame!" His voice tore through the empty void, bouncing off the remnants of broken mountains and ruined skies.
Hokomo Sama stood, staggering, fists clenched, trembling with remorse and fury. He looked at the vast expanse of destruction he had created—the end of life, the end of civilization, the end of everything. His son was gone. All lives were gone. And he… he was the last one left.
"I am sorry… for the death of all the people who didn't give love to my son… for the suffering they never understood," he said softly, tears streaming down his face. "I… I failed him. I failed everyone."
A silence followed. The world itself seemed to hold its breath. The red sky twisted. Ash and molten rock swirled into a vortex. The servers' cores, once humming with power, exploded in showers of sparks. Reality itself cracked and splintered.
Hokomo Sama raised his hand to his head, trembling. "…It's over. It's all over. This world… my world… it cannot exist without him."
His gaze hardened. "I am the last witness. I am the last remnant. And I… must end it."
He pulled a gun from his side—cold, metallic, a single bullet gleaming in the chamber. He whispered one final time:
"I am sorry."
And then, with a steady hand, he placed it to his temple.
BANG.
The world shuddered violently. Mountains shattered into dust. Oceans boiled into vapor. Cities crumbled. Rivers reversed and evaporated. The sky tore into fractals of light and darkness. Every last particle, every last trace of life, every last system collapsed.
The Void screamed.
And then… silence. Nothing remained.
The world had ended.
Everything was gone.
Everything except the void… and the memory of Kanoji.
