I took a slow breath, forcing down the bitterness, the hurt, the anger. My throat tightened. So did my chest.
"So, what now? What do I need to know about what I am… about this power?"
Tow sighed and her figure shifted as her frown faded. She seemed relieved. "I can't give you the full Lycan history right now, but you should know what you truly are. A long time ago, they were hunted to extinction… because of how powerful they were. The Lycan bloodline is powerful, and far stronger than the average wolf, even more than Supreme Alphas. They had their own nation, with a council of rulers rather than a single one. They also didn't live as packs within their territory."
Tow moved to the window, her figure framed by the moonlight. "But, even though the Lycan nation was small, they were so powerful that their mere existence threatened the Supreme Alphas at the time."
