Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 The Eye of Kaguya

What is "slow flow"? Simply put, it's like slow motion in a movie.

In Yūki's eyes, every corner of the world seemed to be moving in slow motion, several times slower than usual.

Frankly, this scene looked very strange. Yūki could even see the wondrous sight of the blood mist in the alley slowly forming and then slowly dissipating—a scene usually requiring special photography techniques to capture, impossible for the naked eye's dynamic vision to perceive.

Huh? Am I seeing things?

After discovering this oddity, Yūki couldn't help but close his eyes and shake his head. When he reopened them, the sudden slow-motion effect had vanished without a trace, and the flow of time had returned to normal.

To confirm whether he was mistaken, Yūki quickly glanced around. But when he looked up at "Princess Kaguya," he noticed that her eyes were emitting a strange white light, with faintly visible veins spreading around them!

Is this... the Byakugan?

Instantly, Yūki couldn't help but gasp in surprise.

After all, he was also a member of the Hyūga clan and was naturally very familiar with this special genetic ocular trait originating from the Ōtsutsuki aliens.

For some reason, Yūki's own Byakugan hadn't shown signs of awakening until now. But at this moment, he discovered that his Stand had actually activated the "Byakugan"! What did this mean?

Wait, can a "Stand" also awaken the Byakugan? And was the "slow-motion vision" just now because of this?

When a "Stand" appears, it shares its six senses with the user. So, as long as Yūki wished, he could share "Princess Kaguya's" vision.

However, when Yūki tried switching his vision to "Princess Kaguya," he saw an unprecedented world.

In the vision of these eyes, the world was no longer a bright, colorful place but a monotonous realm filled with numerous "dots" and "lines."

Yet, in this world, the drifting trajectory of the blood mist not far away and the figure slowly approaching him within the mist were strikingly clear!

Frankly, this "dual vision" was very peculiar. What Yūki saw with his own eyes was the normal real world, but what he saw through "Kaguya's" vision was a side of reality invisible to the naked eye.

If the world were compared to a coin, the world visible to the naked eye would be the surface, while the invisible "Chakra World" would be the interior. But now, Yūki could see both sides simultaneously!

Being able to clearly see the trajectory of "Chakra" was indeed the ability of the "Byakugan." But why hadn't he awakened it himself, while his Stand had? And what about the "slow-motion vision" from earlier?

Not good! No time to think!

Just as Yūki was startled by this sudden discovery, through "Princess Kaguya's" vision, he had already seen a figure charging toward him from the side under the cover of the blood mist!

Simultaneously, an intense murderous aura emanated from a completely different direction—clearly the effect of the "Crimson Mist," easily misleading others about the enemy's location.

However, this misdirection was now useless. Just as Diavolo's attack was about to land, Yūki had already reacted a step earlier, lowering his posture and charging toward the opponent without retreating!

What! It seemed completely unexpected that the child could break his "Crimson Mist." Thus, Diavolo's reaction upon seeing Yūki charge was clearly a beat slower!

Diavolo was very confident in his ninjutsu "Crimson Mist." As far as he knew, only the Hyūga clan's "Byakugan" could break it, and it was extremely difficult to counter by any other means.

Although this kid is from the Hyūga clan, he clearly hasn't awakened his "Byakugan." How did he see me!

There was a very obvious physical change when the Byakugan activated—the veins bulging around the eyes. At least Diavolo wouldn't mistake that. In his eyes, Yūki definitely did not have the Byakugan!

Yes, I don't. But "Princess Kaguya" does.

After voluntarily charging at Diavolo, Yūki observed the chakra flow within the man's body through the Byakugan and simultaneously executed the legendary "Tiger-Slaying Technique—Sliding Shovel."

As mentioned before, Yūki's stature was very short, at best only about half that of a normal adult. If such a small figure attached itself to the ground and slid forward, the angle would be extremely low.

With such a low profile and already short arms, when Yūki passed by Diavolo's side, he had very few targets to choose from.

And the target he chose to attack this time was the man's left ankle.

Diavolo probably never dreamed that one day he would be attacked from such a bizarre angle. So, when his swung arm couldn't be retracted in time, a shock came from his left ankle!

It doesn't matter. My left foot already switched to "Tobio's" state the moment I was attacked. There's no way he could hit my acupoints.

Just as Diavolo was thinking this triumphantly, the two figures quickly crossed paths on the ground, and both sides seemed unharmed.

"Huh, brat, I don't know if you found my location by luck, but what's next?"

As soon as Diavolo steadied himself, he immediately turned, planning to rush at Yūki. But before he could finish speaking, his body inexplicably tilted to the side!

What? How is my left foot—!

Only then did Diavolo realize that his left foot was completely numb! He could barely even stand, let alone maintain balance!

How is this possible! What the hell did he do just now? I clearly switched to "Tobio's" body—it's impossible for him to find the acupoints!

But this feeling—!

Diavolo looked at his left leg. There was no sensation from the ankle down, as if it had been void-amputated. He couldn't move it at all.

This wasn't about chakra circulation anymore—his body simply couldn't move, at least not the part below his left ankle.

"What? Keep going, bastard."

Seeing Diavolo's embarrassed, speechless expression, Yūki finally breathed a sigh of relief. He knew he had won this battle.

Well, perhaps it couldn't be called a win, but Yūki had finally managed to survive.

When his "acupoint strike" successfully hit Diavolo's left foot and "severed" the "qi and blood supply" at that location, Yūki had seen this guy's defeat.

Although Diavolo had switched bodies the moment he was attacked, changing the acupoints in his body, it didn't matter. Because the current Yūki could clearly see the "dots" and "lines" within his body through his eyes.

The dots represented acupoints—stimulating them could have positive or negative effects on the body.

The lines represented chakra flow—attacking them could sever the chakra circulation.

Being able to see "dots" and "lines" multiplied the combat power of a Gentle Fist user several times over. Indeed, this technique had to be paired with the "Byakugan" to reach its maximum potential.

"You brat, you don't think I can't kill you just because you injured my left foot, do you?"

Even so, Diavolo gritted his teeth and spoke defiantly.

Although his mobility was greatly reduced, he had almost figured out the kid's patterns. If the fight continued, Diavolo would undoubtedly be the final victor.

"No, no. Your strength is indeed far superior to mine now. If not for some accidents earlier, I'd probably be dead several times over. But with your left foot injured, can you kill me or escape successfully under the protection of a jōnin?"

At that moment, the corner of Yūki's mouth curled into a smile. Through "Princess Kaguya's" 360-degree long-range vision, a figure in black was rapidly approaching.

"Jōnin? What are you talking about?"

"Young Master! Are you alright?"

Simultaneously, that figure swiftly landed in the alley, standing before Yūki like a solid bronze wall.

"I'm fine. Go on, give this uncle a swift send-off."

Seeing the look of despair on Diavolo's face now, Yūki simply gave him a "goodbye" gesture.
