The children also wanted a small sandbox where they could build sandcastles together.
"Let's make a rose garden for Mom. Doesn't she love red roses the most?" Sophie reminded Ned while looking at Victoria.
He paused for a moment, then nodded. In truth, it was his father who loved red roses.
When Archibald returned from his business trip in Asia, he brought back a huge pile of gifts for the children.
The next day was Saturday. He drove straight to the new villa, where the renovation was nearing completion. Workers were bringing in furniture and doing the final touches. The entire villa was fully prepared and ready to welcome its new owners.
All four children were there: Hale was swinging on the swing in the garden, Ella was in the greenhouse checking on her strawberry seedlings, Alex was reading on a long bench in the garden, and Emily was building a sandcastle in the sandbox.
