Luciferis looked out of the window of his carriage. He and William were sitting in silence. They had been trained by both Josephine and Alize for the past week. It hadn't been anything like they had imagined it to be.
'It was super calm... Just simple meditation and sparring every day. I've barely trained in my previous body, so I don't know what to optimize anymore.'
While Luciferis was deep in thought, William was staring at him with curiosity in his eyes.
'He asked Lady Josephine to allow me to come alongside him as a student as well... I wonder why.'
Luciferis noticed William's gaze on him and turned to face him in the carriage. He knew that William was curious as to why Luciferis had brought him.
"So, you want to ask me anything?"
"Yeah, why'd you bring me alongside you? You already have a butler, what was his name again? Mime, right?"
Luciferis sighed. Mime was his 'butler', since the Aurelion Academy was mainly for wealthy people, they allowed servants to come as well. And Adamas had forced Luciferis to bring Mime alongside him.
"I didn't bring you here to be a servant. You're incredibly talented. And you're still stronger than me, even though I have awakened my Element, and you're still unable to use your own Element."
William almost blushed from the compliment, but he forced his expression to be nonchalant, like he didn't care about Luciferis' words at all.
But Luciferis only said half of the truth. William's Element was something that even Luciferis envied back in his previous life.
'Sound. One of the strongest Formless Elements that isn't unstable or a Heroic Element. If he master's that, he'll basically be unstoppable unless another Formless Element User comes into the fray.'
William sighed. He didn't know why everyone was interested in him. He couldn't even sense the Vitin of his own element. And that was like throwing a bucket of water on his pride.
"Anyways. What's your Element anyway? Lady Josephine took you away whenever she wanted you to use it. Is it really that bad? Let me guess, you got something trashy like Telekinesis?"
He taunted Luciferis; he had noticed how Josephine was worried whenever her younger brother's Element was mentioned
Luciferis shook his head. A smirk on his face as his hand was surrounded by a frosty aura that seemed to almost freeze the air around it.
"Nope, I have Frost, unbelievable, I know, but-"
"FROST?!!"
William yelled at the top of his lungs, cutting Luciferis off. He immediately jumped away from his friend, his face pale like he had just seen a ghost.
Luciferis's hand turned back to normal as he put a hand on William's mouth, shutting him up.
"Damn it. Yes, I have Frost. Can you be quiet for once?"
William pushed Luciferis away, gasping for air as he stared down at the ground, a hysterical smile on his face.
"I-I don't believe you! No way you just revived an Element from the Golden Age, that just so happened to be buried and unachievable for centuries!"
Luciferis sighed, clutching at his hair in frustration for a moment as he remained silent; he didn't want to rush things with William after all.
'I knew he'd freak out, even me as the chosen user of the Light Element couldn't compete with the legend of Frost. Even though users of the Light Element are chosen once every century.'

"So you're telling me you can't use Frost properly yet?"
William poked at Luciferis's forearm as they both sat side by side in front of a warm campfire. Mime had gone to prepare a meal for them both.
"Yep." He grunted before punching the top of William's head.
"And stop poking me like I'm a mythical animal!"
"You are a mythical anima,l Leonidas! You know the last Frost User died 459 years ago! I had more chances to see a damn 1 legged cat than to see a Frost User!"
William grunted, grabbing at Luciferis's hair and pulling on it with all his strength.
"You little-" Luciferis shrieked as he reeled his hand back and tried to punch William's gut.
But before his punch could land, a gloved hand caught it. At the same time, William's grip on Luciferis' hair was released.
"Now now, Young Master number 1 and Young Master number 2, play fighting is appreciated. But, I'm afraid we're going to reach the academy tomorrow morning, and it's night. You're making loud noises that may disturb the animals."
Mime the butler, he was the one who had stopped William and Luciferis. They wore a simple black suit and white top hat, but their makeup resembled that of a common mime, a teardrop painted onto his face.
"I'd prefer it if you and the guards in the shadows eat the deer I've caught."
The bushes and trees rustled from around the clearing, armored guards bearing the insignia of Orchel on their shoulders and hearts coming out, their footsteps silent on the snow.
They were from the 2nd Division; from the looks of it, they had been assigned to protect Luciferis by Adamas.
"Ah, Si- I mean, Butler Mime. As expected, you noticed us..." The guard at the head of the group spoke up as he took off his helmet, revealing a young man no older than 20.
"I hope you don't mind the intrusion."
Luciferis' mind blanked out; he didn't care about the conversation Mime and the guard were having. If the guards were around when he and William were talking about his Element
'Then that means they know about Frost-'
'No, they don't. Young Master, please be careful.' Mime gave Luciferis a small wink; the guard noticed this, but didn't say anything about it. Fearing the man in front of him.
"We'll set up the camp. We have already eaten, so please. Rest."
Mime's dark black lips twirled upwards into a smile. Luciferis had a feeling this man wasn't just a butler for some reason

While all of this was happening, William was trying his best to escape Mime's grip, but to no avail.
The butler chuckled, letting go of the boy who fell to the ground with a small thud, causing a smirk to spread its way across Luciferis face.
"Anyways, Young Master number 1 and Young Master Number 2." They began, his eyes flickering towards.
"Let us get your subjects in order. Tell me, which subjects will you choose in the academy? You need a minimum of 6 alongside 2 mandatory subjects so you don't get left behind."
"Can we do that later?" William groaned in exhaustion.
"No." Mime responded dryly as they pulled out two sheets of paper with a list of subjects already written on them.
"We shall begin immediately."
