Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 A Family Should Stay Together

Even in his past life, Lott had never held a favorable opinion of harem protagonists like Tomoya Aki or Komuro Takashi.

Not that he had any issue with harems themselves… what man wouldn't want one?

The key was having the capability to back it up.

Takashi was the quintessential Harem Anime's protagonist: lacking in both combat prowess and brains.

If it weren't for the fact that the fat guy in their team was simply too unsightly, all those women in the main group wouldn't have ended up circling around Takashi instead.

At the school building's entrance.

Seeing the corpse of Takashi, his upper body blown apart and his lower half collapsed on the ground, his childhood friend, Miyamoto Rei clamped a hand tightly over her mouth, forcing herself not to scream and draw Genos's attention.

Ran similarly covered her own mouth with one hand.

Her main goal was to keep herself from vomiting.

"Bleurgh-!"

Even Shinichi couldn't hold back, dropping to one knee as he retched uncontrollably.

Although they had witnessed similar scenes when Lott dealt with the Hero Association before, and had accompanied their fathers to battlefields multiple times-

The impact of seeing it live, up close and personal, was on a completely different level than watching through a screen.

After finishing off Takashi, Genos clapped his hands lightly as if ready to follow Lott, completely disregarding the value of Takashi's life.

"Ugh-"

Just as Lott was about to ascend the stairs, the persistent sound of retching behind him caught his attention.

He glanced sideways...

Well, look who it is… the Elementary School Detective of Death?

Though it was unclear if this fused world still had the Black Organization, or if they would still manage to shrink him.

Noticing Lott's gaze fall on her childhood friend, Ran's expression instantly changed drastically. She parted her lips slightly as if to speak, but not a single word came out.

Although she was a member of the Karate Club, quite talented, and possessed strength at the top of C-Class or even mid-to-lower B-Class...

Facing Lott... how could she possibly have the nerve!?

"Heh..."

Fortunately, Lott only glanced at Shinichi a couple of times without any further reaction, then turned to leave.

"You-!"

However, the moment Lott took a step forward, Shinichi, having caught his breath, suddenly spoke.

"Me?"

Lott side-eyed the pale-faced but determined-looking Shinichi, replying as if watching a circus clown.

As a transmigrator, Lott of course knew about Shinichi's stubbornness.

If it weren't for Haibara Ai and the multitude of moles within the Black Organization, he would have been killed by Gin long ago.

While Shinichi hadn't reached the level of disgust Lott felt for characters like Tomoya Aki or Orimura Ichika, Lott held no fondness for him either.

Compared to heavyweights like Tomoya Aki, Shinichi was somewhat less detestable.

Sure, he pulled plenty of annoying stunts for his so-called justice, but as long as he didn't provoke Lott directly, Lott couldn't be bothered with him.

But staying out of it? That seemed unlikely.

After all, this guy was famously meddlesome even in the Anime World.

Swish-

Genos, positioned to the right and slightly behind, activated the blade on his wrist.

He felt his teacher was far too kind-hearted.

His excessive tolerance towards these sewer rats led such trash to forget their place.

As Lott's most loyal disciple, it was his duty to use practical action to inform this fool that Lott's dignity was not something any random stray cat or dog could overstep!

Meanwhile, Saeko quietly rested her right hand on the sheath of her own sword.

Thwack!

But before either could make a move, the 'Unicorn' Ran suddenly chopped the back of her friend's neck.

Grabbing Shinichi's collar like a scruffed rabbit, she started dragging him away, forcing a dry laugh:

"So sorry, so sorry! He's... he's drunk! I-I'll take him home first, hehehe..."

Sonoko also laughed awkwardly: "P-Please don't mind him! This guy has a screw loose! W-We'll be going now! B-Bye!"

Seeing this, Lott's smile widened even further.

Interacting with these male and female protagonists was truly entertaining.

"Sensei, shall I kill him?" Genos stepped forward and asked.

"Don't be so violent, Genos. The washing machine will deliver itself to our doorstep."

As a transmigrator, Lott probably understood these male protagonists better than their own parents.

For example, this [Detective Highschool Student] was extremely self-centered.

For his so-called justice and ideals, he would cast everything else aside.

'Hmm, feels like he and Kururugi Suzaku would get along famously.'

Lott would bet money that scum would actively come offering his own head within a couple of days.

'Speaking of which, wasn't Yusaku still employed by the Hero Association?'

'When the time came, I'd deal with his old man too.'

'A family should stay together.'

'Well, Yukiko can be left out.'
