Everyone watching Ghusty transform into his hybrid form of human and monster, they did not hesitate to launch the attack together to prevent him from having any movement, but when he was completely transformed, he disappeared from the sight of all the team. They were very frightened by the guardian's movement and quickly searched for him in the temple, Lyn and Zene decided to leave to check if he had not decided to attack the Korin.
At that moment, the rest who remained inside the temple were attacked by strange sound waves, they were very sharp and hurt everyone's eardrums leaving them stunned for a while, once these waves ceased Ghusty appeared in front of them.
"Your death is the price for not having carried out the order at the right time."
Ghusty directed these waves back towards everyone. Dreik suddenly formed water from his hands and threw them causing it to spawn a water dragon. The young man's attack collided with the sound waves of the guardian causing this attack not to reach the others, giving them a chance to change their position. They all looked for different positions to attack the guardian, and as the sound waves collided with Dreik's water, they broke down the young man's attack. He was able to dodge the attack of the waves at the last second, but suddenly, Ghusty's hand pierced a part of his chest -Did you think you would escape my attack? Like the ghost that I am, I can freely move my body in all this darkness- the guardian said very confidently to the young man and after returning his hand to his body, Dreik regenerated and covered his body momentarily with scales -Ha! Did you think that with such a simple attack you would be able to kill me? My mastery of dragon powers allows me to have its characteristics, and as a dragon I can regenerate my skin- everyone except Mayla was impressed to see Dreik's abilities, being able to regenerate his body like a dragon and able to control water at will.
"Okay, now is our chance to corner him".
Shiko, confident of knowing the skills of his new ally, told this to the rest of his team and ordered them to attack one after the other so as not to give his opponent a chance to move, the first to launch his attack was the leader, using "Dashing" to move at the speed of his enemy, but he was able to dodge the attack very quickly, the guard mocked the boy's movement and said:
"Little human, even if that blow had been accurate, you can't hurt ghosts".
Then Asuka used her "Magic shoot" thinking that with the amount of magic balls he would corner the guardian, but he was able to avoid all of them at the same time, just after Asuka's move Mayla managed to catch him using her ability to paralyze, leaving the last blow to Dreik who used the same water attack as before. when the attack was about to hit the ghost, it disappeared once again from the eyes of all the team, causing Mayla's paralyzing effect to dissipate.
-Asuka: Shiko, can't you use the thingy you told me about again!?
-Shiko: Asuka, it's not something you should mention!
-Dreik: Keeping secrets is the least thing we should do right now! Trust your team!
-Asuka: You're right Shiko! It's not something you should hide if they have information they can give!
-Shiko: Damn it! Listen everyone, when I had the fight against Deaby, Lyn transferred a bit of her power to me and at that moment I awakened a strange ability where I could control shadows!
-Dreik: Shadows!? That's it! She has given you the fragment of the power it contained! It means that you still have it and can activate it again!
-Shiko: Can I what!?
-Dreik: Sounds stupid, but if you have any ability that raises all your skills at once, use it until you run out of magic to use!
-Shiko: I guess by that ability you mean my "boost"... Okay, I'm going to try doing it.
Ghusty appeared on the field again, causing all the team to turn their attention to him.
"Wow, it was a little hard to put my ghost parts back together into once again, but I'm already here to murder you all".
All the party began to attack randomly so that he would dodge again and again and not attack, giving Shiko time to do what Dreik had ordered. The young man started using his "boost" over and over again, and the last time he used it, when he ran out of magic, suddenly all this power on top of him began to gush out all over his body, totally surrounding him just like in the fight against Deaby. Shiko was filled with a magical aura, causing all of his lost magic to be recovered, his stats suddenly rose for a set amount of time, and his shadow-bending abilities to be unlocked once again.
Including Ghusty, everyone was amazed when they saw the power emanating from the young man making those on his side feel determined to fight their enemy safely, and that he began to take things seriously.
Shiko used one of his new unlocked abilities, and from his shadow appeared an arm made of shadows capable of touching his enemy, he quickly made this arm hit Ghusty without giving him time to react and leaving said guardian impressed.
"I didn't expect to find this kind of power in front of me, but you have done something you shouldn't. Now you will suffer for your foolishness!"
After Ghusty said this, he made a black circle appear on Shiko's feet, and from it appeared a column of black magic which hurt Shiko a lot, causing more than half of his HP bar to drop immediately -Shadow abyss! - shouted the guardian as this movement was executed.
"I can't... believe it, he was able to hurt me in this way even with such power within in me."
Shiko's spirit was shattered after receiving such an attack, causing him not to get into combat for a while –You're persistent to survive it, but this will be your end completely- Ghusty said pointing his finger at Shiko such finger was full of black magic, but suddenly his arm moved against his will and began pointing at his own forehead causing this lightning to impact against himself –Remember that you have more opponents, I won't let you hurt Shiko anymore!- Mayla used her powers to control her enemy's arm.
"Time to end this!" Asuka exclaimed angrily by seeing Shiko in such a state, and without thinking about her move she used a new ability acquired from defeating the last guardian she fought. The young woman raised her arm making it surround itself with a lot of magic and shouted:
-Faerie tornado! -
And from the feet of his opponent appeared a huge tornado which did not move from where it was placed, this was especially made to hurt his target. Once this tornado dissipated, they managed to notice who had hurt such an attack, and in the position where Ghusty was supposed to be, was Dreik who had received a lot of damage from this attack. Everyone was surprised to have seen the young man where the guardian must have been, to which from the shadows he said to them:
-Idiots! I told them I can control the shadows! I only had to switch places of shadow with the young men to make him receive the attack in my place!
Seeing that even with their most powerful moves they were unable to hurt or corner Ghusty, all the team lost their fighting spirit little by little, causing them to remain immobilized. The guardian took advantage of the opportunity and used his black magic on Asuka to make her fall asleep, leaving Mayla alone in the fight.
"Damn it... despite we were many against him we have failed fighting... It's stressful to see how everyone's fighting spirit was destroyed."
The moment the guardian attacked the only girl standing, shadows made of black magic were suddenly cut at high speed without the guardian being able to see what got rid of them.
When the person who did it stopped, it showed itself clearly. Zene, who thanks to the suit he had received from Mayla had recovered his arm, he used his two new weapons to be able to cut them.
"These weapons are specially made to attack black magic, so I can cut off any kind of attack you use against me."
Everyone raised their heads and when they saw the young man arrive, they were encouraged, and despite being injured they decided not to give up in battle. Zene's new suit brought a huge arsenal that was added by Mayla, to which he decided to start testing it against his enemy. Zene began to throw many kunais at Ghusty, who upon perceiving the magic that these weapons brought, could notice that they could hurt him. While Zene was running quickly back and forth throwing these weapons repeatedly to give the others time to think of something, Dreik approached Shiko to talk about a strategy they could apply.
-Dreik: Shiko, I can use water to transfer magic to you... But it is not certain that you will be able to control such power since I am one of the few who can handle it, as I understand this magic derives from the powers you contain within so it can also work.
-Shiko: It's a life-or-death situation, if it can work is something that we shouldn't doubt, it will depend on my self-control to be able to control it, it's something rushed if it comes from my own power, but it's necessary.
-Dreik: Another thing you should know, I lose part of my power since what I do in itself is share my magic with yours, so we will need to work together for this, okay?
-Shiko: It's worth taking the risk in this situation, let's go!
Dreik created a ball of water from which a lot of magic was overflowing and without letting Shiko say anything, he put it in his mouth so that he would swallow it at once. Once Shiko swallowed the water, he suddenly began to feel more magic overflowing from his body, but it was an immense magic which he felt burned from so much heat it emitted, the others while waiting for Shiko to respond began to launch all kinds of attacks against Ghusty to help Zene and buy him some time.
All the power that this magic emitted was too much for Shiko, to which he tried to dominate, and he fell to his knees and began to scream from the burning that caused so much magic. Despite this, they all had their faith in their leader, and while this was happening, they continued to try to prevent Ghusty from making a move.
As Shiko was absorbed into this magic, a few scales began to mark on his face under his right eye, growing fangs and causing a dragon wing to appear from his back out of nowhere. During the strange transformation and the young man's struggle to control such power, Dreik was surprised to see these changes that Shiko presented –No way... So, is he able to master all the elements apart from mine? It must be that way! It's the only reason I can find for a wing to show up in his transformation! - Dreik thought of this while Shiko emitted less and less magic, it finally began to enter his body and Shiko calmed down.
"I... I have been able to master it... I have been able to make the magic mine, but I can feel how it decreases rapidly due to lack of control and experience in it, the time we have before it runs out is fifteen minutes, we must defeat Ghusty in this period of time"
Shiko said these words after he had been able to control all the magic that was capable of controlling the powers of a dragon, then he stood up and said to the others:
"Make an attack that will give you a chance to escape!" Excuse me for telling you but it can be dangerous to beside me and most of you are not in a condition to fight, this battle will be fought by only Dreik and me.
Everyone understood the situation, and after making a multiple attack that raised a cloud of dust, they left the temple leaving Shiko, Dreik and Ghusty alone...
