Chapter 31—Lord of flames.
Slime#47 didn't bother checking his skills or status panel. Instead, he decided to evolve his Class first, then inspect everything in one go.
With the decision made, he tapped the Class Evolution option on the panel.
[ Ding! Opening Class Evolutions! ]
[ Ding! Available Evolutions! ]

—Gain Class Skill: Blue Flames {Uncommon} ]
'Only Uncommon…?' He was disappointed by the class skills. He'd gained Uncommon skills before, so he'd expected at least one Rare.
'Well… whatever. So, Fire lord… fire sorcerer… create skills… blue flames…' He mulled it over and decided to go with the 'Fire Lord'.
He didn't have time to sit around creating new flame skills—their arrival was close.
Though he did wonder if Eternal Mastery would lock any fire skills created by the fire sorcerer for the next loop. He wanted to test that later. For now, he tapped on the Fire lord Class.
[ Ding! You have selected Fire Lord. ]
[ Ding! Your Class is evolving! ]
He felt a surge of heat and warmth as his Class evolved…
After a few seconds, the rush vanished, and a new panel appeared.
[ Ding! Your Class "Fire Mage" {Common} evolved to "Fire lord" {Uncommon} ]
[ Ding! You have acquired the skill Blue Flames {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]
[ Ding! Your Class "Fire Lord" caused trait Residual Fire Resistance {Common} to level up to Lv.2! ]
"Status," he said, opening his panel with a small grin.

He skimmed the Status, then tapped the new trait with mild expectation.
[ —Traits—
…
—Residual Fire Resistance {Common} Lv.2—
—Increases resistance to fire by 2%. ]
'Nice… but only Lv.2?' He felt a bit doubtful, since the fire‑related skills he'd gotten as Fire Mage were all at max.
"Let's check Skills… to confirm," he muttered, tapping into his Skills panel.

'Yup… all at Lv.1…' He was a little upset—but it took less than a moment for a grin to slip back onto his face.
'Now I can hide from that woman… of course, fire will be weak to water… and another Agility skill, good…' He mused as he scanned each skill.
'Yup… finally I can breathe flames like a… certain shinobi,' he smiled, as the image of a ninja breathing fire played in his mind.
------
A few hours of joy later…
"So… ritual doesn't increase Will?" Slime#47 asked, as if he'd already guessed.
"Yes. Normal levelling increases every stat, but not ritual," Elder Slime explained, hands tucked behind his back. "Those unholy creatures want to enslave others. Why would they increase Will? With a strong Will, one can resist enslavement. They won't shoot themselves in the foot."
"I see…" the young slime nodded, then asked, "Then why are my new skills at only Lv.1? I got Lv.Max skills before as Fire Mage."
"Because of the Voice of the World," Elder Slime answered seriously. "This is another gift from it; you can also consider it as the beginner's reward, but only for the first class."
"Voice of the World…" the young slime tilted his body in doubt—this was the second time he'd heard that term.
"I will tell you later…" Elder Slime waved it off, making the young slime's eyes twitch. 'It's probably like an overseer of the world or admin-something…'
'So, first Class: max‑level skills. But at birth: no skills…great,' he thought. He still felt it'd have been better if those skills came right from the start of class change, instead of at levels 20, 30, and so on.
Slime#47 and Elder Slime discussed his new powers for a while, which led to that explanation.
------
In the early morning, under the black rays of the rising sun…
"Blue Flames!…"The young slime activated the skill as vibrant azure fire spread out from his tiny palms.
The flames were also beautiful at the same time.
'So hot… and powerful,' he could feel the heat spreading in his hands.
"You've gotten very strong…" Elder Slime nodded in appreciation.
[ Ding! Blue Flames proficiency +1 ]
"Firebody!…" The young slime activated another skill, stopping blue flames, and his body transformed into a living orange flame, formless—completely different from his jelly form.
Whoosh!
Gzz!
He rushed from one place to another; the ground behind him was scorched, the grass burned black.
'Bird…' he thought, changing his shape into a sparrow.
Whoosh!
Using wings made of fire, he took to the sky. 'I'm in the air… feels like I've fulfilled the dream of so many people,' he mused with a smile.
Back in his previous life, many people had a fantasy about flying like birds—and now he'd done it.
After a few seconds…
"Blue Flames!…"He tried to activate a skill while still in Fire form—he wanted to test something.
The moment he invoked it, his entire burning body shifted—orange fire snapped into bright, scorching azure.
