"Big senior brother, wait!." Jing Tu shouted as he chased after the fat man. Blocking his path, he bowed slightly and said "I'm sorry for what happened, it is my fault for not teaching her to respect her elders well."
"I'm not your brother" The fat man said as he tried to walk around him.
Jing Tu following his movement to stop the fat man from moving forward, he smiled a little before saying, "it seems like Senior does not recognize me." He seemed a little hurt.
Seeing that the fat man wasn't going to ask who he was or how they knew each other, he continued "Every year, I come to the southern mountains to temper my body with the brigade of lightning you create."
"Ohh, it is you that always tries to climb up. You should know, someone up there finds you annoying." The fat man said, now seemingly willing to talk.
He was not at all surprised that they found out about his identity because, first, he did not care, and second, it was not them he was hiding from.
"I should have fried your ass when I had the chance so I won't suffer this disrespect now." The fat man muttered.
"Senior for my sake, please forgive her. She doesn't mean any disrespect, it is just that what we wanted to talk to you about is important." Jing Tu moved to the side – no longer blocking his path, as he bowed slightly.
The fat man passed him and walked a short distance before saying "Why bow and bear regret
for shadows unseen by the other?
Apology blossoms only when the fault is known."
He turned around, beckoned him to come and handed him a simple looking rock with a glowing tip in his direction. "I like you, so take this. When the girl accepts her mistake and wants to apologize, I will hear what you have to say and this will lead you to me."
As Jing Tu was about to thank him and leave, They heard a shout from behind "Patriarch, that is him. He is the one that injured Pang Ling."
The pot bellied man frowned, he seemed to have heard that voice before he just couldn't remember where.
When they turned back, they saw a group of around twelve people looking at the pair with hostility and killing intent. As a commander of an entire district, Jing Tu immediately recognized someone as high profile as Pang De. Sensing there was a problem, he looked at the fat man to see if he had met these people before but the confusion in his eyes said he hadn't.
"Pang De, Patriarch of the Pang Family to what do I owe the pleasure?" Though Jing Tu was a little respectful, he did not lower his head.
Even with that, the elders of the Pang Family were a lot calmer since this commander spoke to the Patriarch with respect unlike the Captain from before. But Pang De did not seem to care, immediately he saw the fat man he almost couldn't hold himself from tearing him apart. The only person that can save the pot bellied man from his hand is the Grand commander.
"Commander Jing, I don't have business with you, stay out of my way." Pang De growled, He also recognized that Jing Tu was a commander. Even though he was a bit rude, he could just apologize later and the other party would have no choice but to accept. His family might not be the biggest, but they are by no means small.
"I'm sorry, but I can't. I would like to know what business you have with this man." Jing Tu said, even though Pang De was an early stage heavenly origin expert he was not afraid.
If the Lightning God had not left the southern mountains and he got to temper his body, along with some cultivation time, there was a high chance he would have broken through to the initial stage of heavenly origin by now.
"Jing Tu, why are you in my way? The captain girl said he was not under the protection of the Azure guards, why are you protecting him?." Pang De barked.
" Yes, he is not under the protection of the Azure guards but he is my guest. I really can't let you attack him without knowing what he did wrong." Jing Tu replied back defiantly.
Pang De was furious that he couldn't do anything to Jing Tu. He was not scared of Jing Tu, he could kill Jing Tu in one move. But Jing Tu was a commander of the Azure guards, killing him would be directly disrespecting the entire Azure guards and the Grand commander. Moreover, it was common knowledge that Zhao Dijun the Grand commander was planning on taking Jing Tu as his disciple to train him to become the next Grand commander. It was said that he was a one-in-a-thousand years talent, reaching the peak of Grandmaster at twenty one years old. Seeing this, Pang De has no choice but to calmed down a little.
"Jing Tu, my Pang family has been in alliance with the Azure guards, is this how you want to break it?" Pang De asked.
Jing Tu's face darkened "What does this have to do with the Azure guards? I told you, I'm the one protecting him, not the Azure guards" Jing Tu shouted.
"You are a commander of the Azure guards, your actions represent the Azure guards whether you like it or not" One of the Elders butted in.
"Yes, I'm a member of the Azure guards that is why I'm asking for an account of the situation. Remember our job is to bring justice to those who deserve it." Jing Tu quickly used his position to fulfill his own curiosity.
A glint flashed in the eyes of the fat man who was silently standing behind Jing Tu, he looked at Jing Tu in a new light.
Normally even if it was any low level commander that was asking, Pang De didn't really have to answer. But with Jing Tu, it was almost the same as Zhao Dijun asking, so he had no choice but to answer.
"He injured my son and it would take at least three years to recover, and when he recovers he would not be able to go past the Master realm." Pang De said solemnly. A few gasps were heard, it was obvious the elders didn't know about the last part.
" I see, this is indeed a serious matter. But are you sure he was the one?" Jing Tu asked, pointing at the pot bellied man who had a little smile on his face as he watched everything unfold.
Pang De saw the smile as mockery and was about to launch at him completely disregarding Jing Tu, but a hand pressed firmly on his shoulder from behind calming him down.
Seeing that none of them were answering, he asked the fat man directly "Did you injure his son?"
"I can't be sure, I have met a lot of people even if you describe him I might not remember." The fat man responded, the smile not fading in the slightest.
"Liar, you injured him yesterday, how can you forget?" A voice shouted from the back of the group, a young man stepped forward. The voice was the same that shouted 'That is him' at the beginning.
It was one of the boys with Pang Ling at the inn, the fat man's single strike had erupted a great fear in his heart but with the Patriarch, Grand elder and the large number of elders here he felt invisible. Moreover, they were used to running amok in the entire Azure Alliance.
"You seem familiar, have we met before?" The fat man asked, as he squinted his eyes. He had been in the southern mountains for a long time, the few human contacts he had since he came down occupied some space in his brain.
"You bastard!, you injured the young master, now you claim you don't remember." Pang Ling's friend shouted,
"Yesterday?," the pot bellied man brows creased as he tried to recall all the things that happened the day before, he mused to himself but they could all hear "Long queue, ...noisy village, hmm unnecessary celebration ...and" As he recalled, the faces of everyone kept getting gloomier because they knew he just came from silvercrane village and they celebrated a festival for the Grand commander there, so he was calling the Grand commander celebration unnecessary. Not many people hated the Grand commander and even if they did, they wouldn't say it out loud.
The Pang family people were happy on the inside, they expected Jing Tu to immediately abandon the fat man since he had insulted the Grand commander. But Jing Tu just squeezed his face a little before returning to normal as if he didn't hear anything. The Pang Family were surprised, and all of them came up with different assumptions in their head about why Jing Tu will still protect a man that insulted the Grand commander in front of him.
While they were thinking, the pot bellied man completed his list. His face lit up as if he just made a big discovery, be
fore he gave Pang Ling's friend a side look and said. "Ah yes!, and gay boys."
