Chapter 29 - "Survival of the Fittest"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

After hiding the spaceship securely, they activated every defense mechanism it had.

As long as no overwhelming external force struck it, the ship was practically indestructible.

Harry had complained more than once about how ridiculous it was — the Frieza Force was supposed to be this mighty galactic army with insanely advanced tech, yet somehow, they'd never figured out something as simple as a capsule container.

Back on Earth, capsule technology was already becoming mainstream around this time.Give it another ten years, and it would be used in every industry imaginable.

"Let's go," Harry said, taking the lead. "All systems are active. If any major energy spike appears within ten kilometers, we'll know right away."

Now that they'd left Planet Vegeta and landed on this new world, they were finally free — truly free.So no matter how dangerous this planet might be, they had to explore it themselves.

If they kept holding back now, all those years of preparation would've been for nothing.

"Maybe… I should stay behind," Gine said nervously. "We only have one ship. If something happens to it, we'll be stuck here forever."

Her worry wasn't unfounded — it was exactly what Harry was most concerned about. But she was a little too tense right now.

The truth was, Planet Oyun's danger level had far exceeded what they'd expected.

"It's fine," Harry reassured her. "We're only scouting the nearby area — no more than a thousand kilometers out. If we go on a longer expedition later, I'll use my cloning technique. That way, a copy of me can stay behind to guard the ship."

That technique was the only real backup plan Harry had come up with.He didn't need to use it now — this trip was short. Even if something happened near the ship, they could rush back instantly.

His clone ability worked a bit like the Four Witches Technique —No, that wasn't quite right. It was closer to Piccolo's later Split Body move.

With his current strength, creating a clone required him to split off about a third of his own power. He could use less, but then the clone wouldn't be nearly as strong.

As long as the clone wasn't fighting full-force, it could last quite a long time.

You might ask — why not just use a Saibaman seed?

Well, it wasn't that Harry didn't want to.But Bardock had warned him: those creatures might obey their grower at first, but they were vicious by nature. If you weren't strong enough to dominate them, they'd turn on you.

That's why not every Saiyan used Saibamen. Only those with power levels above two or three thousand could use them safely.

Of course, Harry didn't think he'd lose to one.But as Bardock said — if he had to fight just to make them obey, then what would happen when he wasn't around? They could escape… or worse.

And for Gine and Celari, they'd be a serious threat.

Still, that didn't mean he'd never use them.Having Saibaman seeds was still a kind of strength — each one had a power level of about 1,200.

"Wow! Harry, you can make a clone? That's so cool! Teach me too!" Celari said, eyes wide with excitement.

She was endlessly curious, always eager to learn something new.

"Maybe later," Harry chuckled. "Right now, you need to keep training your Ki control. Once your power level hits 500, I'll start teaching you new techniques."

"Deal!" she said instantly, not even thinking about how long that might take.

In truth, she was already close to breaking through — her power level had reached 290.Once she improved her control over Ki, she'd easily hit 300.

Fifty points in just a month and a half — not bad at all, especially for a five-year-old.And she'd only been learning through Harry's verbal instructions. Now that they were on a planet with open skies and natural energy, her progress would only accelerate.

Gine, on the other hand, had already reached 700.She was catching up to Harry fast.

Of course, the higher you go, the harder it gets to keep improving — so Harry's growth had slowed down compared to theirs.

Without further worries, the three of them took off, soaring through the sky with Saiyan flight technique.

The feeling of flying freely again — after two months cooped up in a spaceship — was pure liberation.Every trace of stress and fatigue seemed to dissolve in the open air.

They raced across the sky without a care in the world. For a moment, Harry even thought that if they stayed here forever, they could easily become this planet's undisputed rulers.

"Hey, Harry! Gine! Look over there!" Celari suddenly shouted, pointing into the distance.

Harry and Gine followed her gaze — and froze.

What they saw was a battlefield of giant beasts locked in savage combat. There were dozens — maybe hundreds — of them, tearing into each other with earth-shaking fury.Even the smallest of them stood several meters tall.

"Are they fighting over territory? Or food?" Gine wondered aloud.

It was a brutal sight, but as someone who'd once invaded other planets, Gine was more intrigued than horrified. She'd seen worse — much worse.

Survival of the fittest. Natural selection. That was the rule of life — on any world, in any form.

Harry watched her calm, almost amused expression and couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Then he glanced back at Celari, who was trembling, hiding behind him in fear.

The contrast couldn't have been starker.

Even Gine, in her own way, wasn't exactly what you'd call a "good person."

In truth, there was no real good or evil in this universe — just perspectives.Whether someone was good or bad depended entirely on who was doing the judging.

To Harry, Gine was family — so of course, she was good. But to the people whose worlds the Saiyans had conquered and destroyed, she was evil incarnate.

Saiyans were violent, bloodthirsty, merciless.

That's why, when Goku later told Frieza,"They wiped out our people because we wiped out others,"it struck so deep — a single line that shattered illusions and laid bare the truth.

The universe is cruel.Always has been.
