Chapter 28 - "Planet Oyun: The Great Deception"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Time flew by in the blink of an eye.

It had already been two full months since they left Planet Vegeta.

They were now in the Dasa Star System.

Planet Oyun was the sixth massive planet orbiting a blazing sun. In total, twelve planets circled this star—but Oyun was the only one known to harbor life. The others, despite having atmospheres, were barren, dead worlds.

Suddenly, the stillness of space shattered as a beam of light streaked across the galaxy, cutting through the cosmic void like a blade. It slowed as it neared Oyun's atmosphere, revealing the shape of a spaceship before diving through the planet's skies and landing on its vast, untouched surface.

It was none other than the medium-class spacecraft carrying Harry, Celari, and Gine.

After two months of travel, they had finally reached their destination safely.

The ship settled on a flat-topped mountain. The hatch hissed open, and one by one, the trio stepped out.

"Ah, solid ground again," Celari groaned in relief, stretching her back and arms. "Finally, no more cramped quarters. I thought I was gonna lose my mind in there."

The feeling of being confined in that metal box for weeks vanished the moment she felt fresh air on her skin. Every cell in her body seemed to breathe again.

"The air's clean and the temperature's nice," Gine said, scanning the wilderness around them. "This place looks even more primitive than I imagined… or maybe we just landed in the middle of some ancient forest."

She'd invaded plenty of planets before, so assessing terrain and environment came naturally to her.

"According to the data, the whole planet's like this," Harry replied, glancing at the towering trees surrounding them. "No tech, no pollution—just raw, wild nature. The vegetation's massive though… bigger than the reports suggested."

Even with all their intel, seeing it firsthand was awe-inspiring.

There weren't any visible animals nearby, but the sheer scale of everything—trees like skyscrapers, grass tall enough to hide a grown Saiyan—made the world feel colossal. For an ordinary person, wandering in there would be like stepping into a land of giants.

Harry closed his eyes and extended his senses. Ki rippled outward, sweeping across hundreds of kilometers in every direction. Countless lifeforms flared into his awareness, each unique, each unlike anything he'd ever felt before.

"This place is way more dangerous than I thought," he muttered. "The data must've been wrong. The strongest creatures here have power levels well over four or five hundred. I can already sense several with power around 500—and one, northwest about three hundred kilometers, easily over 700."

He shared his findings with Gine and Celari. They needed to know—this planet wasn't safe ground.

Sure, they were strong enough to survive here, but conquering it? That was another story. Impossible, unless they transformed under a full moon. Even then, Oozaru form could only last so long. With how enormous the planet was, even a month of rampaging wouldn't be enough.

Too few warriors, too much ground to cover. No wonder this mission had no time limit.

Even with Harry's power—now at 1,300 after months of intense ki training—it would take at least a year just to explore the whole planet. And exploration wasn't conquest.

To truly control Oyun, he'd need his strength to skyrocket—several thousand at minimum. Otherwise, he'd never wipe out all resistance here.

"With power levels that high—and so many of them—this planet's definitely not just a 'medium-class' world," Gine said, frowning at her scouter. "It's at least near the low end of a high-class planet."

The readings confirmed it. Sweat beaded on her forehead.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Harry said quietly. "I think someone wanted us dead. When Uncle Bardock registered this mission, he never said where the intel came from…"

Gine's eyes widened. "You mean—Bardock was tricked?"

Harry nodded grimly. "If Uncle Bardock just wanted me to train, he wouldn't have needed to hide the danger. The only one with the power to alter mission data… is King Vegeta himself."

"Wait—you're saying King Vegeta tampered with the mission report? That he set this up just to kill us? But why? We've always been loyal to him," Gine protested.

"Because of power," Harry said flatly. "And fear. Bardock's power already passed ten thousand. His influence's been growing, and King Vegeta—he's just like Frieza. The moment he feels threatened, he eliminates the threat."

He clenched his fists, recalling things he'd read in another life. In one old fan story, King Vegeta had a son named Raig, born with a power level of fifty thousand. Out of fear, the king had exiled him as a child.

Maybe that story wasn't real here—but it said a lot about the kind of man King Vegeta was.

"Harry… maybe you're overthinking this," Gine said softly. "Raditz is still fighting under the prince's command, and Bardock's always followed orders…"

"Yeah," Harry sighed. "Maybe. I hope I'm wrong."

But deep down, the pieces fit too well. The more he thought about it, the colder the realization became.

"Anyway," he said, forcing a faint smile, "at least no one's watching us right now."

According to the ship's logs, their craft had gone dark a month and a half ago. Officially, it would be marked as lost in space—which, in Saiyan terms, meant destroyed.
