Chapter 34: Obtaining a License
Once the two brothers had a concrete plan, they demonstrated powerful execution.
The two first produced a sample of the dragon blood beverage according to Stewie's idea, then entered Meg's room and found her listening to music.
"Hey! I don't remember Mom not teaching you manners. Don't you know you should knock before entering someone else's room?"
Seeing the two sudden intruders, one large and one small, Meg pulled off her headphones and snapped angrily.
"Shut up, Meg!"
Facing Meg's noisy complaints, Chris was not in the mood to explain much; the pressure from the Ancient God's body was still too great for him.
It seemed that Meg in this universe was also connected to some unknown entity, to the extent that even though Chris had already stepped into the extraordinary realm, he still felt irritable when facing Meg.
It was as if some unknown rule was eroding his soul.
So Chris said directly to Meg:
"We don't want to waste time with you. There's an opportunity to get rich right now. Either you drive us to City Hall, and we all get rich together.
Or I'll knock you out, take you with us, and use your identity to drive. That way, you won't get anything!"
The reason Meg had to be involved in this matter was that he and Stewie planned to take the sample to City Hall to apply for a production license.
At the same time, they also needed to use Meg's identity to apply for a loan; otherwise, the two of them wouldn't be able to quickly raise the money to open a beverage factory.
Of course, taking out a loan using Meg's identity could wait until after the production permit was approved. For now, the main thing was to persuade Meg to cooperate and avoid her non-compliance.
"Get rich? What kind of money-making scheme could you two have?"
Meg expressed extreme distrust of Chris's words, but her body was honest; she got up, grabbed her driver's license, and followed Chris out the door.
After all, she had witnessed Chris's transformation during this period and knew that her younger brother was no longer the insecure little chubby boy he used to be.
Just at school, Meg had heard her friends talk about Chris more than once.
They were all discussing a handsome and powerful guy who had appeared at school and frequently spent time in the school gym.
Unfortunately, they were seniors about to go to college and had no time to skip classes; otherwise, they would have gone to the gym long ago to see that muscular hunk.
And as for the key person her friends were discussing, Meg knew it was Chris without even thinking.
However, Meg and her friends were all superficial, and she never thought of introducing Chris to them.
After all, a bunch of shallow gossips weren't worthy of hooking up with Chris.
As Meg started the car, she finally asked in detail: "Can you explain it now? At least let me know how much guaranteed salary you can give me."
Meg was already 18 this year and was about to enter college, so she was also trying to earn money to buy some new things for herself before starting university.
Like a laptop, for example.
Meg drove away. Chris looked through the rearview mirror and saw a chubby man wearing their neighbor's clothes timidly emerge from next door, then cautiously enter the Griffin Family home.
"Oh ho ho ho! Did that fat guy only dare to go back after seeing you leave? Chris, you make me so happy! I hope next time you can be even harsher; it would be best if that fat guy doesn't dare to drink at home."
Stewie also saw Peter go home and immediately let out an excited cry, while also complaining: "Doesn't he know that will corrupt children?!"
Meg had obviously also seen Peter wearing the neighbor's clothes and heard Stewie's words.
However, because an infant's vocal cord structure was not fully developed, besides people with extraordinary hearing like Chris, only Brian the dog could understand Stewie's speech.
Other older adults like Peter and Lois, due to declining hearing, found it difficult to hear what Stewie was saying, only thinking it was an infant's babbling.
Meg, being in her prime, could barely make out a few words, such as "drinking" and "whipping."
So, seeing Meg's puzzled expression, Chris knew that because she had been listening to music indoors, she was completely unaware of him whipping Peter.
"Nothing, Peter just got drunk and took off his clothes, so I taught him a lesson. He was forced to hide next door. Now he must have seen me leave, so he dared to go back!"
After hearing Chris's explanation, Meg calmly said, "Oh, then you were too light-handed."
"...!"
Chris was speechless. Although he knew Peter was hated, for all three of his children to dislike him so much, it could only be said that he truly was a terrible father.
"Forget it, let's not talk about Peter. Hurry up and tell me how you two plan to make money; we're almost at City Hall."
Hearing Meg ask again, Chris organized his thoughts and told Meg what he could say.
Basically, he had obtained a medicinal formula that could be used to make a body-strengthening beverage, and he wanted to use Meg's identity to get a loan to set up a factory. Then everyone would make a lot of money together.
However, as soon as Chris finished speaking, Meg said with a skeptical expression: "Who do you think you are? Some Silicon Valley entrepreneur? Why do you think the FDA would approve your application?
And even if they were crazy enough to approve your application, how do you know your beverage can sell? Because it looks cool?"
Meg finished speaking sarcastically and was about to turn the car around. "What a waste of my time!"
And Stewie was so delighted by Meg actually listening to him that he completely forgot his original purpose.
Seeing this, Chris had no choice but to take a sample bottle from beside Stewie and hand it to Meg, saying: "You don't need to worry about the FDA application, and you don't need to worry about your loan application being approved. Now, try this stuff first, then decide if you want to do it!"
Meg stopped turning the car, then looked at Chris's serious expression, and then at the orange-red liquid in his hand.
She gritted her teeth and said, "I hope you're not joking with me, or else you'll have to deal with Mom!"
Meg angrily snatched the beverage from Chris's hand and drank it all at once. Then her eyes began to glaze over, and her body trembled slightly.
After a moment, the craving from her body's genes made her blurt out: "Is there more? Another bottle!"
Looking at Meg's excited expression, Chris chuckled, "How's the effect? Have you fallen in love with this drink?"
"That's right, are you sure this stuff isn't some kind of illegal drug? This is too intense; I feel like I've been reborn, my body is more relaxed and energized than ever before."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't slander me. This stuff is a strengthening beverage that has immense benefits for the human body. You're addicted only because your genes are craving evolution; this is completely the opposite of those illegal substances.
Drinking this will make your body stronger, while taking those drugs will only destroy you. Now do you understand how powerful this stuff is?"
"Of course, of course! I definitely understand the powerful effect of this stuff." Meg was still in an excited state. After all, to pass the tests faster, the sample Stewie made had one-thousandth the strength of the genuine product.
The effect of the genuine product was strong enough to make even Chris, with his powerful physique, feel it intensely, and the replica with one-thousandth of the effect was naturally outstanding for ordinary humans.
After drinking this one, the body would at least return to a healthy state, and within three months, one wouldn't even have to worry about any known diseases.
