Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Death Has Arrived

Chapter 45: Death Has Arrived

Family Guy World.

Stewie silently watched Chris disappear from the hibernation pod. After confirming that time was flowing normally, he revealed an excited smile.

"Excellent, everything is developing as I expected. The Spacetime Synchronizer can indeed anchor Chris's time state. Now let me see if this guy will suffer the wrath of Death!"

As Stewie activated the holographic projection, Chris's figure appeared on it. Then, Stewie saw a car lose control and instantly crash towards Chris.

"Hahahaha, that's right! That's what he gets for accusing me like that."

Watching Chris's misfortune, Stewie laughed gleefully, then went to grab a dragon blood beverage and some popcorn, clearly preparing to enjoy Chris's predicament.

Final Destination World.

The moment Chris arrived, before he could even understand the situation or why he had suddenly jumped dimensions, he saw a car swerve to avoid a truck ahead and crash towards him.

However, Chris's reaction speed was in the single-digit millisecond range. A car accident at city speeds like this couldn't even touch a single hair on his head.

But upon seeing the driver screaming in terror in the driver's seat, Chris hesitated for a split second, then his body blurred, and he instantly appeared in front of the out-of-control vehicle, pressing down with both hands.

With a loud boom, the out-of-control pickup truck was pressed entirely into the grass by the roadside by Chris, with its rear half completely lifted into the air.

Then the dead fish it was carrying were thrown into the sky, flew over the front of the car, and landed on Chris, instantly making him reek of rotting seafood.

It was when Stewie saw this scene that he couldn't help but grin widely.

However, Chris didn't know that Stewie was watching his live feed. He only felt that this world was extremely hostile to him, as if it had a personal vendetta.

At this moment, the pickup truck driver tremblingly got out of the car and said nervously, "Sorry, sir! Are you alright?"

"What do you think?!"

Chris suppressed his anger and retorted irritably.

Anyone thrown into a pile of dead fish and covered in their stench wouldn't be smiling.

Fortunately, the driver was reasonable. He quickly pulled out his wallet from the vehicle, opened it, and offered a stack of bills, saying, "I'm really sorry, this is a small token of my apology, just for your dry cleaning costs."

Seeing how sensible this person was, Chris reached out and took the bills. A quick glance showed there were five thousand US dollars, and he immediately said with satisfaction, "Be more careful when driving next time. Not everyone can stop a pickup truck with their bare hands like me."

"Yes, yes, I will definitely be more careful when driving from now on!"

The pickup truck driver's attitude was extremely sincere. After all, most people, let alone stopping a pickup truck collision, would probably be in the hospital if hit by that half-load of dead fish.

So, when facing this superhuman, the pickup truck driver practically wanted to worship him like a saint, not daring to have any thought of objection.

With funds for activities, Chris immediately prepared to find a place to shower and change his clothes. He couldn't stand looking for clues to identify the world while reeking of fish.

At this moment, Chris didn't know that Stewie had sent him to the Final Destination world. He still thought the previous incident was just bad luck.

And the moment Chris arrived in this world, Alex, who had just boarded the plane, instantly woke up. He looked at the time and found it was only 9:07 AM, with 18 minutes remaining until the plane's takeoff.

"Phew!" Alex nervously took a sip of water, wondering what dream he had just had that left him so shaken.

As Alex frowned and pondered deeply, two female classmates approached him.

"Hey, Alex, can we switch seats?"

Ignoring the male classmate in front who was frantically waving his hands to stop him, Alex smiled and stood up, giving up his seat.

It wasn't until Alex sat in one of the girls' original seats that he understood why his buddy had tried to stop him from switching.

"Dude, you made me miss a romantic opportunity! You've really disappointed me!"

To his classmate's complaint, Alex smiled and said, "Come on! Did you expect to pick her up on this flight? Besides, we're going to Paris, the city of romance!"

After speaking, he ignored his friend, leaned his head against the window, and felt an exceptionally refreshing mood.

It was as if someone had absorbed the bad luck he had previously sensed.

On the same plane Alex was on, a young couple sat in the back, chatting.

"Relax, Sam. We've escaped from Death's grasp, it's time to embrace our new life."

"Molly, I was just thinking, what if that cop was also on Death's list? Then would I, who inherited his remaining lifespan, be put back on Death's list?"

Molly, who had just escaped a terrifying and bizarre death, stiffened, because she remembered how suddenly and cleanly that police officer had died.

It was almost no different from her coworkers who had died in accidents.

"It… it shouldn't be! That cop didn't go to the suspension bridge with us, how could he be on Death's list? You're overthinking it, Sam."

"But what if Death's game isn't just one? What if He happens to include this flight on His list and starts a new game?"

Terrified by her boyfriend's speculation to the point of almost having a panic attack, Molly even considered getting off and not taking this flight.

"Hahahaha, it seems you haven't completely relaxed either! Alright, Molly. I was just messing with you, don't think too much." Seeing his girlfriend scared by his few words, Sam quickly ended his little joke and hugged her, saying.

"Look outside, the gloomy weather has cleared up. Don't you think this reflects our new beginning?"

Just then, the captain began to speak: "All passengers on Flight 180, please be seated. The flight to Paris, France, is about to depart."

The time came to 9:25 AM, which was the original takeoff time in the movie, and also the time this plane was supposed to explode.

However, these were all tragic events that would have originally happened.

When Chris arrived in this world, due to Chris's identity as an outsider, Death's attention had already been drawn to this peculiar individual.

Thus, these survivors, originally on Death's list, temporarily lost Death's focus and had returned to their original destinies.

Even Iris, hiding deep in the mountains, who was the first to escape Death's targeting and had even been tangled with Death for decades, was now staring blankly at the wind chimes she had made.

"Hey, Death, don't try to play tricks. I know you're trying to lure me out, but I won't fall for your trap!"

Noticing the unusual calmness around her, Iris shouted loudly, trying to embolden herself.

However, Death currently had no time to bother with these minor players.

His current target was only that anomaly who didn't belong in this world.
