Ryan's POV
I arrived at the Thorn residence in minutes and was held at the main house at first. "He'll be here soon." A young guard told me and I nodded refusing to seat.
"I'm glad you're here, Ryan. Come with me." Charles said walking from upstairs.
"I'm here to see my sister."
"What about your wife? They were both attacked." He said staring at me.
I didn't say anything else. I just kept quiet and followed him.
We soon reached a part of the mansion I wasn't aware of. It smelt like bleach and drugs though.
I stayed silent, but I knew it must be a private infirmary.
"Your sister is in surgery so you'd have to wait here for a while. The doctor said that the bullet didn't hit a critical area though. So she will be stable once the bullet is out."
"Okay, no problem. I'll wait."
"I have to leave for a while, I have business to attend to. I will be back but I'm not certain if we will see. Bye for now."
