Nonna Anita's POV
Shit! I guess my past is closing in on me faster than I thought. How is it possible that of all people it has to be, Rhino, that I'll see.
"Elena, who is this?" I pretended not to know who he was.
"Do you happen to know her?" Elena asked Rhino, he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"Aren't you….? But it's not possible." He said to me, looking directly in my eyes.
"I don't think I know you, young man." I tried to sound as manipulative as possible.
"But…"
"Maybe it's someone that looks just like her. My Nonna is almost always indoors. We have been together for so long." Elena intercepted.
"I see." He didn't look convinced though.
"Who is he, Elena?"
"He is the taxi man that saved my life, Nonna. Rosalyn was shot on our way here."
"What!" I growled and coughed because I was still fragile.
"Yes, Nonna. It's also my fault. I can't believe this happened, she warned me but I didn't listen. Now she is in critical condition."
