Chapter 11 - SECOND DAY

The morning sun shone across the land, signifying the start of a new day for the inhabitants of the Primordial Continent.

In Etoile, Levi was the first to awaken, his lazy eyes scanning the entire domain before he stood up. His first destination was the manor. He wanted to see if Lucien was still there.

The manor was empty, with only the class certificate bundle and Lucien's shield kept on the table.

"He woke up quite early," Levi commented with a smile as he took the bundle and shield from the table.

"Assassin, Martial Artist, Mage, and Archer," he muttered as he read through each certificate.

He stepped out of the manor again after slipping one into his pocket.

Most of them were already awake, stretching lazily with silent yawns.

"Wake the rest, we have a lot today, we can't afford to waste time," Levi said, his tone cold and aloof.

"Yes, Master Levi," those awake said together, their voices blending into one.

With mechanical efficiency, they went around, waking the sleeping people. I less than 5 minutes, they all rallied together before Levi, their eyes still heavy with sleep.

"Harold, cook the remaining meat. We will soon go out," Levi said, going straight to the point.

Their eyes widened. They felt they were too weak to go outside, especially when there were only 2 soldiers in the domain.

As if knowing their thoughts, Levi spoke again. "Don't worry, there are 3 class change certificates here, for 3 other people," he said.

As he spoke, his eyes shifted between the people who were summoned later yesterday. Naturally, the three people were going to be chosen from them.

"Marcel," Levi called out to the most bulky of the three. He had black hair and black eyes like normal people.

Marcel stepped out, standing close to Levi, his form overshadowing him, but he himself bowed in respect.

Levi took one of the certificates and gave it to him.

"Amelia," he said next, not even waiting for Marcel to look at the certificate in his hand.

Amelia came out next with her slender body. Her hair and eyes were black, too.

Levi repeated the same process, giving her another certificate.

"Miles," he called the last person.

Miles came out and collected the last certificate from Levi.

They did not need any words; their hands moved, ripping the certificates in half.

While they were busy with their class change, Levi walked towards the summoning gate, summoning the subjects for the day.

Unlike Lucien, who gave introductions, Levi said nothing, only acknowledging their greeting with a silent nod before walking back to the new class changers in the domain.

He had seen the interface for the warrior and archer before, so he skipped directly to the last one, Marvel.

[Name: Marcel]

[Age: 38]

[Tier: Tier 0]

[Class: Martial Artist]

[Skills: Basic combat mastery, energy channelling]

Levi closed the interface after reading through the information. His eyes shifted towards Harold, who was grilling meat over a pit.

"I will be back soon," Levi said, walking towards the manor again.

As they saw his figure disappear, all of them released huge heaves of relief.

"Scary," one of them muttered as they slumped to the floor.

In the room, Levi brought the class change certificate from his pocket and tore it.

A similar blinding light covered him, then released just as fast.

[Class: Assassin]

[Skills: Basic dagger mastery, Silent Veil]

A belt wrapped around his waist mysteriously, with two dagger pouches. Levi was not surprised; he had seen equipment appear on people who used the class change certificates, so he expected a similar thing.

He brought the daggers out. They were deep black, with gleaming edges.

He tucked them back in, then sat on the chair.

"Two skills for each class, I wonder if there are higher classes," he could not help but wonder.

Coming from a planet where games emulated similar mechanisms, he could not help but think of advanced classes, and even hidden ones.

"I want us to explore the area around us today, but I don't know what we might encounter on the way," he muttered.

Although he was trying his best to hide it, his mind was in utter chaos.

"Calm down," he said, pressing his hand against his chest. "Not like it can be worse than a field training. And if we are too scared to leave, we will only be fodder when it gets more dangerous," he convinced himself.

His mind moved at an insane pace as he calculated the plans for the day.

"We return to the domain at sunset, and enter that space when we get back."

With everything concluded, he stood up from the chair again, moving towards the door with calm, steady steps.

As he opened the door, he saw Tiara standing there, her fist tightened as she attempted to knock. In her other hand was a leaf, wrapped tightly around something.

"Master Levi," she quickly said, bowing in apology.

"What happened?" Levi asked.

"Your meal had been served; should it be brought to the manor?" She asked, her head facing down.

"No, don't worry."

He shut the door behind him and walked down, Tiara trailing behind him.

He sat on the floor bare. Tiara moved quickly, setting the meat before him.

Levi nodded, then began to eat.

'Even without salt, it is still so tasty,' he mused. 'Is it an effect of the meat, or Harold's class?' he could not help but speculate in his mind.

'But it is likely the meat since there is nothing he can do without energy, which he does not possess until he cultivates to tier 1.'

The meal continued, with no one talking.

After they were done, they drank the remaining water from the previous day.

"That was all our food supplies," Harold said to Levi with a bow.

"Don't worry, we are leaving the domain to hunt soon," Levi assured calmly. "Those of you who are following me, you only have 5 minutes to prepare," Levi said again as he stood up.

The people following him knew themselves well, and he did not need to point them out individually.
