"Mommy. Good morning". Mirabel greeted her mother. "Mirabel what am I hearing? What happened between you and your friend?" Mirabel's mother asked her.
"What did Esther tell you mom?" Mirabel asked her mother.
"I don't know what is the problem between you two Mirabel but you better settle it out. Is Esther not your best friend? I called her last night and she said you moved out. Who do you know in Enugu that barely one month of staying there you are already moving out of the only family you have there". Mirabel's mother said.
"Is that really what Esther told you? "Mirabel asked her mother.
"Yes. Or do you want me to come over to Enugu?" Her mother asked her. "There's no need mom. I'm fine where I am." Mirabel said.
"Who are you staying with now Mirabel?" Her mother asked her. "A friend at work." Mirabel said. "A friend at work? Send me her phone number so that I can talk to her." The mother said.
"Mom there's no need. I'm d0ing just fine." Mirabel said.
"Why did you move out of Esther's house?" Her mother asked her. Mirabel didn't want to prolong matters. Because she knows her mother very well. So she decided to lie to her mother.
"Her house is far from my office. So I decided to move to a place closer." Mirabel said.
"Okay; does that place not have network at night?" The mother asked her. "What do you mean mommy?" Mirabel asked her mother.
"I called you all through last night Mirabel. But your number wasn't reachable." Her mother said.
"Maybe it's just network." Mirabel said.
"I called to check up on you. Have a nice day." The mother said.
"You too mommy." Mirabel said before the mother hung up the call.
"I dropped some clothes for you at the guest room. You can go and change up." The CEO said after Mirabel finished answering the call with her mother.
"I'm actually fine in this sir." Mirabel said.
"I insist Mirabel, they coffee stain is so visible on your dress. You have to change to something else." The boss said.
Mirabel went to the guest room and saw the clothes on the bed.
She came outside to tell the boss that what she saw was Polo and Joga trouser.
"Yeah. Remember I live alone?. That's my shirt and trouser. You can put it on." The CEO said.
Mirabel went back into the room and put on the clothes before coming back to the living room.
"The clothes actually looks nice on you. The CEO said. Thank you." Mirabel replied.
"So let's continue with the design." The CEO said as she handed another cup coffee to Mirabel.
Sorry for breaking your cup. Mirabel said as she collected it.
"It's okay, just be careful with this one." The CEO said.
Together they made different clothing design. It was amazing how Mirabel just think like her boss in making designs. This was so amazing. They had almost same visualization.
By the time its was 2PM. The Boss excused himself to go have a quick shower and ordered for food.
Mirabel offered to cook. But he insisted on 0rdering.
The CEO was in the bathr00m when someone came knocking on his door.
Mirabel went and opened the door. And saw this beautiful lady with takeaway food.
"Are you the one that came to deliver the food?" Mirabel asked the lady.
The lady looked at Mirabel with anger and suspicion. "Who are you and why are you wearing my boyfriend's clothes?" The lady asked Mirabel.
"Excuse me." Mirabel said to the lady but instead the lady landed a heavy resounding slap on Mirabel's cheek.
