Well, I actually saw an acquaintance here.
When Albert turned his head to secretly eat a chocolate hard candy, he noticed Miss Field, whom he had met at the Transfiguration Club, sitting not far away.
She noticed his gaze and looked over, just in time to see Albert unwrapping the candy. She winked at him, seeming to want to laugh, but since they were still in the library, neither of them spoke.
Albert popped the hard candy into his mouth, took his essay, walked over, and sat beside Field. After a quiet greeting, he said,
"Be careful not to get kicked out by Madam Pince," Field mouthed.
"It's fine as long as I don't get caught!" Albert handed her a few hard candies and said carelessly, "Besides, these are hard candies. No one will notice if I keep them in my mouth. Do you want one?"
"Tell me, what do you need me for?" Field easily saw through Albert. If he had nothing to do, he probably wouldn't come looking for her.
"It's like this."
Albert pointed to the revised part on his parchment, then talked about his idea of copying and pasting text.
After he finished speaking, Albert noticed Field, who was unwrapping a candy, looking at him with a strange expression.
She softly mumbled, "How lazy must this person be to want to invent such magic?"
"Laziness makes people more creative, doesn't it?" Albert winked at Field and continued, "The invention of charms is just to make things easier."
"You're amazing!" Field stared at Albert for a long time, very curious as to why he could shamelessly say such things to defend himself.
"However, I can't help you with that idea of yours. But, for the sake of this thing…" Field shook the candy wrapper and said, "I can tell you the method for modifying text. Actually, it's very simple. Do you know the Transfiguration Charm?"
"Transfiguration Charm?" Albert carefully recalled the knowledge about the Transfiguration Charm in his mind. He suddenly realized that these upper-years were even better at showing off than he was.
The Transfiguration Charm is knowledge from the advanced late stage of Transfiguration, with a N.E.W.T.-level difficulty. Although it's not as difficult as human Transfiguration, learning the Transfiguration Charm is not a simple matter. Yet, in this senior's words, it became "very simple"?
Simple, my foot!
At least, at Albert's current level, he definitely couldn't learn it without directly upgrading using the panel.
Although he was saving experience partly to deal with this kind of situation, Albert was still prepared to try to learn by himself rather than directly relying on the panel.
If he got used to relying on the panel, what would he do when his experience pool ran out later? Although he was a "salted fish," he was still a "salted fish" with ideals—even if those ideals were a bit ridiculous.
To live a comfortable life in the future, he had to plan his life well.
"Like this…" Field used the tip of her wand to tap the incorrect parts on the parchment, transforming them into other words. "This is a simple application of the Transfiguration Charm. Professor McGonagall taught this little trick last semester."
"I'll practice this after I learn the Summoning Charm."
"Professor McGonagall should also teach it this semester, so you'll have a chance to learn it." Field quickly scanned Albert's Charms essay. She suddenly realized that this junior was more impressive than she had imagined. Seriously, was this really the level of a first-year student?
Recalling her own first time writing an essay and comparing it, she suddenly felt the urge to tear up her parchment.
But what was written at the end?
"You wouldn't want to join the Charms Club too, would you?" Field looked up and asked with a strange expression.
"There's a Charms Club?" Albert retorted.
"Of course there is." For some reason, Field smiled a little mischievously. "But be careful not to overlap with the Transfiguration Club."
"What's with that expression?"
"Nothing."
"By the way, Professor Flitwick must be very disappointed that you weren't sorted into Ravenclaw," Field suddenly said.
"Doesn't it matter where you're sorted? We still learn the same," Albert said without thinking.
"That's true." Field pointed to the parchment and said, "Someday, if you really invent this thing, remember to send me one. If it's too expensive, I can't afford it."
"Don't worry, if I really invent it someday, I'll send you one!" Albert's mouth twitched, and he muttered, "Provided I can actually invent it!"
"I suggest you read some books on Alchemy. Maybe you really can succeed!" Field thought for a moment and said, "A magic lamp, I'm a little excited!"
"Alchemy?" Albert murmured. Speaking of Alchemy, he thought of Nicolas Flamel.
Ancient Alchemy should refer to chemistry, right? What would wizard Alchemy be? Also chemistry?
Or other aspects?
Like Potions—is it a type of magic?
After chatting with Field for a few more sentences, Albert packed his things and left. He planned to go back to the dormitory to rest for a while, then organize the items for his family.
As for Alchemy, he would think about it after he finished reading Nineteenth-Century Spell Selection!
You have to eat your food one bite at a time, otherwise you might choke to death.
"Who was that just now?" Sanna asked curiously as she followed behind Albert. She had also heard some of their conversation.
"Field, we're in the same club. She's very good at Transfiguration spells." Albert briefly organized his words and continued, "I just asked her how to correct typos on parchment."
"You mean the Transfiguration Charm?" Sanna couldn't help but raise her eyebrows. "But that's N.E.W.T.-level difficulty!"
"Do you know what N.E.W.T. is?"
Sanna was also startled. Yes, what was N.E.W.T.-level difficulty? She really didn't know.
"People should have some dreams. If you don't think about it, you'll never achieve it!"
"I just want to know what N.E.W.T.-level difficulty is."
Albert sighed softly, "The Ultimate Wizard Exam for seventh-years."
Sanna's expression was a little blank, then she sighed faintly and said, "Whether it's the Ultimate Wizard Exam or the Transfiguration Charm, they're both too far away from me. Yes, too far!"
She hadn't even learned one Transfiguration yet, and she was hoping to learn the Transfiguration Charm?
Wake up—first learn Transfiguration, that's the most important thing right now.
Albert also realized Sanna's problem, feeling a bit awkward, and changed the subject, asking, "I'm going back to the common room, together?"
"When do you have time? Can you teach me Transfiguration?" Sanna discovered a problem: although the courses at Hogwarts were relaxed, to complete homework or perhaps learn magic, one still had to rely on self-discipline. If she just muddled through until graduation, she probably wouldn't learn any useful skills.
