At that moment, something clicked for William.
Is that why she never wore the wedding ring he gave her? It all made sense now.
So, she din't hate it? She din't hated him?
The thought eased something tight inside his chest, something he had been carrying heavily.
"And speaking of Vanessa," Bri went on softly, "she is so beautiful in person. And kind. I was terrified when she approached me and said hi, but she is really nice. Ethan too, Vanessa introduced us. He is so cool."
She stopped, then said in a tiny voice,
"Have I over shared? I tend to.. "
"No, you haven't," William interrupted immediately. His voice was firm but warm, stopping her before she spiraled. "You can share anything freely. I won't judge." William chuckled at that last sentence.
There was something in his tone that made her chest warm. He was sincerely curious.
He added gently, "Anything else you want to share? What are your lines for tomorrow?"
