[Author Note: Just wanted to tell you guys. The Mc is not from MHA but from Earth. He has the same name as Shota Aizawa and I would explain why he has the same name in a future chapter. Hope the confusion is cleared.]
Shota sat on his rock and watched the battlefield with sharp eyes. He kept his body low so no one could see him. His left leg still hurt from the burns, but the pain was dull now. He was sure that it was not the pain that has lightened but his mind had just gotten used to it. He ignored it for not.
The fight and completing the mission was more important.
'Shizu is going to freak out if she sees her strong big brother's condition.' Shota thought with a wry smile.
A Suna chūnin ran toward an Iwa ninja.
The Iwa ninja stood still and made hand signs. His fingers moved fast: Snake, then Ram, then Boar. The Suna chūnin smiled as he thought the Iwa man was open so he raised his kunai and charged at him.
Shota saw the trap though. The Iwa ninja had made an earth clone earlier with an explosion as a cover and had made the
clone hid in the ground.
It waited to jump out and block the attack and the Iwa shinobi would then blast the man with his jutsu at point blank range.
The Suna chūnin got close but the earth clone burst up between them. The Suna man's eyes went wide. He tried to stop, but he was too late.
Shota locked his gaze on the clone and
used his Erasure. The clone's chakra vanished as it crumbled into dirt and rocks.
The kunai kept going. It sliced the real Iwa ninja's neck.
Blood sprayed.
The Iwa man fell.
He grabbed his throat.
His eyes rolled back.
He died without a sound.
The Suna chūnin looked surprised but then he understood what happened. He did not glance anywhere to not giveaway anything but he gave a small nod to make sure Shota knew that he understood that he was here.
Shota smirked in the shadows. His Erasure was the perfect counter for clones, any clones whether they were Earth clones, water clones or even shadow clones.
Normally, Shota would not be able to erase an already created jutsu but Clones were different as they had a chakra network of their own and needed chakra to exist and no
chakra meant no clone. They fell apart like dry sand just like how the earth clone grumbled to rubble.
The Suna chūnin moved to help others.
Shota kept watching. He waited for the right moment. He erased chakra when Iwa nin tried jutsu. One by one, the remaining Iwa fighters fell.
An Iwa man made a clay bird.
Shota erased his chakra.
The bird dropped.
A Suna ninja stabbed him.
Another Iwa man tried an earth wall. Shota erased his chakra and thus no wall was formed as a wind blade cut him down.
At the end of it, only two members of the Explosion corps remained, Kurogiri and one jōnin.
Kurogiri stood in the middle of the field.
His cloak was torn and blood ran down his arm. His eyes burned with hate and he gritted his teeth hard. Shota heard the sound from far away.
Kurogiri knew the truth. Goro and Riku were dead who he had sent after the brat with the ability to erase chakra were dead and the boy was alive. He was hiding somewhere and he was assisting in killing Iwa men from the dark.
Kurogiri's thoughts were black.
He saw his corps in his mind.
Fifteen strong men.
His brothers.
His pride.
They trained together.
They laughed together.
They blew up mountains together.
Now they were bodies in the dirt.
Because of one child.
One stare.
One trick.
Kurogiri's fists shook.
He wanted to scream.
He wanted to burn the world.
He wanted the boy's head.
He wanted to crush it slow.
He wanted to hear bones break.
He wanted to see fear in those eyes.
But he kept his cool. He can't lose it at such an important juncture. 'The Tsuchikage has to know that such an ability exists. He needs to know not just about the boy but he needs to find if others in Suna had such an ability.
Iwa would have to find them and kill them before their numbers grew or their strength increased. Such an ability should not exist because it shifted the power balance. Tsuchikage needs to know about this even if I end up dead.'
Kurogiri looked at his last jōnin. The man moved slow and thus Kurogiri deducted that he did not have access to his chakra and that meant the boy was watching him.
Kurogiri gave a small grim nod.
The jōnin understood. Kurogiri made hand signs as he shouted the name of the jutsu while closing his eyes.
"Explosion Release: Solar Flare!"
Light exploded from his hands. Not fire.
Not bombs. Pure orange light that was brighter than the sun.
Everyone closed their eyes. Suna nin covered their faces.
Shota threw his arm up. He cursed in his head as he had to close his eyes or risk having his retinas burn up.
'What the hell is this?Am I in Naruto or Dragon Ball Z? Krillin's going to send a lawyer! And this guy isn't even bald!'
The light faded. Shota blinked fast. Black spots danced in his eyes. He looked down.
The Iwa jōnin was gone.
A hole in the ground showed where he went.
He had sank into the earth and has escaped.
But Kurogiri stayed to their relief since he was their main target for the mission while the others were only secondary targets.
But he did not seem scared at being outnumbered. He stood tall and laughed.
Two Suna nin ran after the jōnin not wanting to let him escape.
Kurogiri knelt and put his hands on the ground. He made more hand signs.
The earth hummed. Shota could not stop him as he still had to recover his full vision after the bright flash of light.
One Suna nin took a step.
The ground under him exploded.
His body flew up.
His legs were gone.
Blood fell like rain.
He hit the dirt and screamed.
The other Suna nin stopped.
He did not move.
Kurogiri stood up.
Dust fell from his fingers.
He looked at the Suna team.
He looked at Sōshi.
He looked at the craters.
He looked at the fire.
He smiled wide.
His teeth were red with blood.
"This is my Explosion Release: Hidden Mine jutsu. Welcome to my playground."
