I'm on my way to college, and it feels like the earth shakes slightly, and I see some buildings visibly move, that's not normal.
I quickly look up on the internet to see if this is normal.
I don't see anything mentioned anywhere.
I call 119, inform them of the potential building damage and go on my day. That was weird though.
While on the bus to my destination, the TV on the bus freaks out because the wires aren't properly secured, only for it to fix itself and display ads.
The ads glitch, before changing to a black screen.
"The world as you know it is over."
"The free warranty of this planet is over and now it's time for the test."
This.. That's not right, what does it mean that the warranty is over?
The world shook violently.
The tides split and reformed, causing tsunamis to appear across the entire world.
And some people.
Just popping out of existence.
I was one of them.
Now in an empty void, I look around.
There is a see-through panel that I am standing on. No smell, almost no sound except for my breathing and the taps of my shoes on this panel.
What I thought to be an empty void, I now see is just extremely thick fog.
As I freaked out about all the possibilities that have and are happening, where are my dogs, my cats? Are my family safe, are they here? Am I dead? Did I get crushed, pummelled, shot, stabbed? Did I have a heart attack from the stress? Am I going to have another one?
As those thoughts ran through my head, the fog disappeared, and more platforms were revealed, and like the platform I was on, they also had people on them.
And from what I can tell, I'm not the only one panicking.
Some way more than others.
Some were looking around, while others were crying, hyperventilating or just curled up in a ball.
If I can calm someone down maybe I can help myself calm down, and try to figure out how to get out of here with them.
Calling out to the closest person next to me, "O, over here, let's talk to keep each other calm, what's your name?" Panic lingering on my words.
"… I'm,Emma."
"Lovely to meet you, Emma. I'm, i'm Scott, do you have a Favourite book, or animal?"
"Uhh, snakes… and a book series by Annabel Chase, I think it's called the Crossroads Queen.
"Oh, don't think I've heard of that series before, I don't read too many books, but I was reading the Dresden files and Primal Hunter before all this happened.
She seems to be calming down a bit, that's good.
Before she can answer my questions, A giant gash splits across the void, and from this giant gash, a giant mannequin crawls out.
It towered over us like we were ants in front of a skyscraper.
A cacophony of mixed screams overlapping one another.
I place my hands over my ears, to shield them slightly from all the noise, but it's not helping much.
And then it spoke.
Its voice booming all around me, and I guess the others as well.
Silencing everything else.
I can't tell if it's male or female, it seems to be a mix of both.
"Hello humans, you lot are the lucky ones who get to live in another world."
"Sadly for you lot, I won't be telling you where you're going, but you will be going there soon."
"Why do you rip us away from our family!"
"You were told why."
"I want to be sent back to my family!"
"And."
"Just send me back home!"
"That's not my role."
"Ahhh"
The person falls as the platform underneath them collapses.
He falls into the void, and his buddy starts dissolving the further he falls.
His screams bounce around my skull, I feel I'm not the only one this is happening to, as even one is silent at the display.
"How unfortunate, it seems he slipped." I can feel their sinister smile even though they have no features.
Everyone is frozen, but sweating profusely. I try looking at Emma, but she's just staring into the void where the person dissolved.
Emma has tears forming in her eyes, she is muttering something to herself, but I have no idea what she's saying.
Her shirt creases as she grips it excessively tight, the tips of her fingers going white.
Why does it seem like it's playing with us?
I stay focused on Emma, doing my best not to focus on the horrific death that just happened in front of me.
Doing this distracted me from noticing how cold this being said its words.
But my body felt it, hairs on my arms spiked.
"Um, ah right, you lot might get a rundown of what the world is like and what you lot are meant to be doing in said world, if I like you enough."
"You will also be given a system to assist you in your endeavours."
"Now I hope you enjoy your trip there and good luck, you'll need it for this one."
Right as the mannequin finished speaking the platforms everyone was standing on just started to dissolve right under us.
Doing my best to stay on the remaining platform, I moved and jumped around, with others attempting to follow my lead.
Doing this for around 10 seconds before there was nothing left.
Everyone fell.
"A couple of these people had decent bloodlines, it would be a waste to let only them have it." The mannequin mutters to itself.
While almost everyone screamed, including me, a video player appeared in front of my face.
It automatically played.
A generic female voice filled my ears.
"The world you are entering is filled with monsters, if you are seeing this video then you have been chosen to save the world from the evil demon lord or lady who is trying to take over and make it their own.
The reason for this is so they can ascend and become a demon king or queen, something that no one wants to deal with as they are at minimum, a planetary threat if that comes to be.
You will b# given a random bloodline, this bl*~dline will provide you with unique po#e$ that help you grow if you can grow them.
The place you are being sent to is called Dragon School Academy, where you will learn how to fight.
The video shuts down.
Flailing through the air, I can see that everyone else's video hasn't stopped.
Before I could attempt anything except flail in the air, everything went black.
The first thing I felt was a skull-splitting migraine, jolting me up instantly as I tried to hiss away the pain ever so slightly, sadly, to no avail.
As I look around, all I can see is burned soil and charred trees.
All I can smell is this rancid sulfur and ash.
" I know I'm not an expert but this doesn't look like a school to me, it looks like damn desolate wasteland" I say to no one.
Looking around a bit more and, randomly I get a wave of dizziness, or blurred vision.
Only finding dirt and trees, I decide to rest near a rock, not long into my rest another video player pops up in front of my face.
"Ah, finally it's working… so as you can hopefully see you're not in the right place… apparently I let an unfinished system into the pool and you got hit with it, so I had to throw you into a random mini dimension for safe keeping… as.. well I can't let other deities find out I messed up."
"If you're wondering why I didn't just kill you… Well, I tried but apparently heroes are protected while in transport so I couldn't actually harm you and as you haven't actually arrived in the proper place… beings of higher power cannot hurt you so I have to dump you here until you die of, whatever kills you."
I tried to speak, but not even a mutter came out of my mouth, at the utter absurdity of what it was saying.
"Well as you've said nothing I'll assume you at least agree with me, hope you enjoy your stay, the foxes in this area should be a feral watch, cya."
They waved and the video turned off.
"What, what does that mean?!"
I'm overwhelmed by my own emotions, I fall to the ground, my body shivering, my breath leaving my body before I can catch it fully, and my heart, is beating so loudly, it feels like it's about to burst out of my chest.
The surroundings start shrinking, only darkness surrounds me.
I'm alone.

Hello, I know I keep disappointing you all by disappearing or not finishing work, but now, I will definitely finish this. Also, I hope you enjoy these rewritten chapters and the continued story I know it's the first chapter and is still getting started up I do apologise :/
Anyway I hope I don't fumble this writing biz I have right now and that I don't overextend what this novel has in it… also this is a rewrite of the first novel I wrote but also complete different so… ye I might reread that to get a basic idea of what I might want to happen in the next couple of chapters, I hope you enjoy it and I hope you lot can provide me with way of improving my story and writing as I haven' done it in a while and feel like I'm quite bad at it once again.
