Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Kaito's Appearance

Kiyozawa wanted to focus solely on Amaya, but he found himself increasingly distracted by the striking resemblance between himself and Overhaul. Amaya, sensing the awkwardness of their first date, couldn't help but feel disappointed as Kiyozawa's attention drifted away.

Amaya decided to take matters into her own hands. She gently pulled Kiyozawa onto the dance floor, hoping to recapture his wandering attention and salvage their first date. As they began to move to the music, she could only hope that the physical closeness would bring him back to her.

Kiyozawa's eyes flashed red with barely contained anger as he glared at Overhaul across the crowded room. Despite being preoccupied with conversations with Kanako, Kiyozawa's sister, Overhaul could acutely feel the intensity of that glare boring into him from across the space.

Overhaul: "..."

(In his mind).

"He's shooting daggers with his eyes, but we're supposed to be allies so I have to act nice."

(Out of his mind).

Despite the internal frustration, he maintained a polite smile as he continued his conversation with Kanako, aware of Kiyozawa's intense stare.

Amaya: "Kiyozawa..."

She softly whispers Kiyozawa's name, trying to get his attention again. She's growing frustrated with his distractibility and hopes that saying his name will bring him back to her side. Meanwhile, Overhaul continues to feel the weight of Kiyozawa's glares, making him increasingly uncomfortable.

Kiyozawa: "I know, I'm sorry."

He murmurs softly to Amaya, finally tearing his gaze away from Overhaul. He turns back to her, trying to refocus his attention solely on her again. He knows he's been rude and distracted their entire date so far.

Kiyozawa: "This is supposed to be our first date, and I should be paying more attention to you."

He says, his voice sincere as he gazes deeply into Amaya's red eyes. He takes her hands in his, determined to make up for his earlier distraction and give her the focus she deserves.

Kiyozawa, despite his nervousness, decided to take the stage and sing a song for Amaya. He wanted to make up for his earlier mistakes and show her how much he valued her. As he stood under the spotlight, his heart raced and his hands trembled slightly as he held the microphone.

Kiyozawa: "I'd like to dedicate this song to Amaya."

He says, his voice cracking slightly from nerves as he gazes out at the audience and locks eyes with her. He takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the performance, knowing that this moment could make or break their first date.

Kiyozawa: In the neon glow, where the city hums,

We walk these streets, where the danger drums.

Two worlds apart, yet our hearts align,

Amaya, your smile is my secret sign.

Through the crimson rain, under lantern's sway,

I'm bound by my name, but you light my way.

Our families clash, like swords in the night,

But your laughter's my peace, my unspoken fight.

Kiyozawa: Oh, Amaya, in the shadows of us,

We're friends in the storm, but my heart's dangerous.

Caught in this dance, where we can't cross the line,

Still, I dream of a world where you're forever mine.

Kiyozawa: Your eyes like the moon, they pull me through,

A fleeting glance, and I'm lost in you.

The Yakuza code, it chains my soul,

But for you, Amaya, I'd risk it all.

We talk in the dark, where no one can see,

Sharing secrets and dreams, just you and me.

Though our paths divide, like rivers they bend,

I'll guard this bond, my heart's truest friend.

Kiyozawa: Oh, Amaya, in the shadows of us,

We're friends in the storm, but my heart's dangerous.

Caught in this dance, where we can't cross the line,

Still, I dream of a world where you're forever mine.

Kiyozawa: If the world could fade, if the clans could fall,

I'd run to your side, I'd answer your call.

But for now, I'll stay, just a step away,

Loving you in silence, till fate finds a way.

Kiyozawa: Oh, Amaya, in the shadows of us,

We're friends in the storm, but my heart's dangerous.

Caught in this dance, where we can't cross the line,

Still, I dream of a world where you're forever mine.

Kiyozawa: So I'll hold this close, in the quiet of night,

My heart sings for you, in the softest light.

Amaya, my friend, my unspoken vow,

I'll love you forever, though I can't say how.

In the echoes of dreams, we find our way,

Through whispered hopes, where love's here to stay.

After finishing the song, Kiyozawa's hands tremble slightly as he sets the microphone down. He looks up nervously, his heart pounding in his chest. When he sees Amaya smiling at him, her red eyes shining with happiness and approval, his nerves instantly melt away. A genuine smile spreads across his face.

Kanako: "I didn't know that my brother could sing."

She exclaimed softly, her cheeks flushed as she watched Kiyozawa serenade Amaya from across the room.

Kanako: "That was so romantic..."

She fanned herself dramatically, leaning against Overhaul's arm.

Kanako: "I know I should sing a song about you."

She said dreamily, gazing up at Overhaul with starstruck eyes. She playfully nudged him with her elbow.

Overhaul: "Go on ahead even though we just met."

He replied with a soft smile, his voice low and smooth like velvet. He gently tucked a strand of Kanako's hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering slightly longer than necessary.

Suddenly, the lights flicker and go out, plunging the room into darkness. Every Orb present's eyes light up with their unique colors, activated by the sudden power outage. The room is filled with an eerie glow—red, blue, green, yellow... every color of the rainbow expect for the Hassaikai members since they're human.

The lights suddenly flick back on, revealing Kaito standing on the stage with a twisted, amused smile.

Kaito: "I just showed up uninvited!"

He announces loudly, causing murmurs and gasps among the crowd. Everyone turns their attention from the romantic moment to this unexpected interruption.

Kanako: "Oh no..."

She murmurs under her breath, her eyes widening as she looks at Overhaul. She knows Kaito's presence means trouble. The atmosphere shifts instantly from romantic to tense and dangerous.

Kaito: "I'm seeing double!"

He exclaims mockingly, his smirk growing wider as he notices both Overhaul and Kiyozawa standing in the room. His eyes light up with malicious glee, enjoying the sudden complication and the opportunity to stir up trouble between the two.

In the blink of an eye, Kiyozawa appears directly in front of Kaito, their swords clashing with a deafening clang. The room erupts into chaos as the two powerful Yakuza engage in a fierce duel, their blades moving at incredible speeds and leaving trails of light in their wake.

Kanako: "It's too dangerous to be here. We have to leave."

She urges Overhaul, pulling on his arm. She knows that with Kiyozawa and Kaito fighting, the situation is quickly spiraling out of control.

The Boss Of The Shie Hassaikai: "Chisaki, you must help Kiyozawa. Our alliance with the Angels of Slaughter demands it."

He commands Overhaul firmly. He knows that siding with Kiyozawa in this fight is crucial for maintaining the fragile peace between their organizations.

The Boss Of The Shie Hassaikai: "Go."

Overhaul nods curtly, immediately removing one of his white gloves. He disassembles the ground beneath Kaito, reassembling it into sharp spikes that shoot straight towards the distracted villain. His movements are precise and calculated, aiming to catch Kaito off guard and give Kiyozawa the upper hand in their duel.

Kaito: "So you're not a death angel."

He sneers mockingly as he suddenly disappears completely. In the blink of an eye, he reappears directly behind Overhaul, grabbing him from behind in a chokehold. His grip is like a vice, squeezing Overhaul's neck tightly as he smirks over his shoulder at Kiyozawa.

Overhaul smirks confidently as he activates his quirk, disassembling Kaito completely. He expects to hear a death rattle or see Kaito disintegrate before his eyes. But instead, Kaito suddenly reappears on stage, completely unharmed and grinning maniacally.

Overhaul: "What? How?"

He stutters, caught off guard by Kaito's sudden reformation. His confident expression melts away, replaced by a look of genuine shock and disbelief. Kiyozawa freezes mid-move, similarly stunned.

Kiyozawa's sharp eyes quickly scan the room, noticing that everyone else has wisely evacuated the building. A small sense of relief washes over him, knowing that the Yakuza Families are out of harm's way. This allows him to focus solely on the dangerous duel unfolding before him without worrying about collateral damage.

Kiyozawa: "Human, cover your ears!"

He commands Overhaul sharply. Without hesitation, Overhaul presses his hands tightly over his ears as Kiyozawa begins to emit an ear-piercing screech. The sound waves ripple through the air, visible as they crash directly into Kaito.

Kaito: "Damn, that always hurt."

He grunts through gritted teeth, momentarily staggered by the powerful sonic attack. His ears ring painfully, and blood trickles from his nose as he struggles to maintain his focus. The force of Kiyozawa's scream sends him flying backwards several feet.

Kaito's smirk widens sadistically as he suddenly throws a concealed knife. It slices through the air with deadly precision, embedding itself into the faceplate of Kiyozawa's mask. The mask, his only protection, falls away, revealing his vulnerable face underneath.

Kiyozawa's eyes widen in realization and shock as he suddenly stops screeching, immediately covering his mouth with his hand. He understands now that his face mask was not just a accessory, but a crucial protective measure preventing him from accidentally killing innocent bystanders with his lethal power.

Seizing the momentary distraction, Overhaul sends another barrage of deadly spikes hurtling towards Kaito. However, his concentration is broken by Kiyozawa's sudden silence and the realization that something is wrong.

(In his mind).

"Why did Kiyozawa stop attacking so abruptly?"

(Out of his mind).

Kiyozawa quickly picks up the black face mask and places it back on his face, tying it up carefully. The mask holds immense sentimental value to him as it was a gift from his adopted father.

(In his mind).

"How many people have I killed without realizing?"

He ponders to himself, a heavy thought weighing upon his mind as he contemplates the unseen consequences of his actions.

Kaito: "Kai Chisaki,"

He announces with a snap of his fingers, and instantly his members appears behind him, each member holding a musical instrument - a saxophone, a piano, and other unidentified instruments.

Kaito: "I know everything about you,"

He smirks arrogantly as he picks up the microphone, his voice amplifying through the speakers.

(Red Smile, Black Countdown).

(Kaito's song to Overhaul, sung slow and sweet like a lullaby dipped in venom)

[Verse 1]

Kaito: Hey, little bird in your sterile white cage,

Counting your seconds, turning the page.

You rebuilt the world with those surgical hands,

But I'm the scalpel now, understand?

I wear your fear like cologne on my skin,

Every breath that you take pulls the noose in.

Tick-tock, Chisaki, the clock's in my palm,

Your empire's a corpse and I'm singing the psalm.

Kaito materializes right behind Overhaul mid-performance, causing Overhaul to stumble as Kiyozawa instantly appears and forcefully pushes Overhaul aside.

[Pre-Chorus]

Kaito: I borrowed your pride with my little red sign,

Copied your quirk, now your power is mine.

Feel it unravel, your perfect control,

I'm wearing your god like a stain on my soul.

Kaito and Kiyozawa clash once more, but this time, Kaito is utilizing Overhaul's quirk that he had previously copied, making their battle even more intense and unpredictable.

[Chorus]

Kaito: You're gonna die soon, Kai,

With that mask cracked in two.

I'll paint the walls red with the dreams that you had,

And smile while I'm doing it, just for you.

You're gonna die soon, pretty bird,

No phoenix, no rise.

Just my gentle voice in the dark as you fall,

And the devil's soft laugh in your eyes

Overhaul is stunned as Kaito wields his quirk, forcing him to quickly shift tactics and try to aid Kiyozawa by manipulating the ground, creating sharp spikes in an attempt to counter Kaito's newfound power.

[Verse 2]

Kaito: Remember the girl that you broke like a toy?

Eri's tears are the beat to this song I enjoy.

Every scream that you caused is a note in my head,

I'm remixing your sins with the blood that you shed.

Your Eight Precepts kneel to the Slaughter tonight,

Yakuza shadows swallow your light.

I don't need to rush; death tastes better slow,

So I'll hum you to sleep while the curtains close.

Overhauls eyes widens in shock as he suddenly feels a sharp pain in his chest, only to look back and see Kaito standing there with a twisted smile, having completely disappeared and reappeared behind him in an instant.

[Bridge – spoken, almost whispered]

Kaito: Shhh… can you feel it?

Your heartbeat borrowing my rhythm now.

Three… two…

Smile for me, Chisaki.

It's the last thing you'll ever do right.

Kiyozawa's eyes widen in realization as memories of the Yakuza Families Alliance flash through his mind. Without hesitation, he sprints towards Overhaul, determined to save him from Kaito's deadly attack.

[Final Chorus]

Kaito: You're gonna die soon, Kai,

By the hand you once cursed.

I'll carve my name where your heart used to be,

Then burn every precept you thought made you worse.

You're gonna die soon, little king,

And I'll kiss you goodnight.

With the same gentle grin that I always wear,

When I take what is mine by right.

[Outro – soft, fading]

Kaito: Sleep tight, Overhaul…

The devil's got bedtime stories

And every single one ends with you.

Overhaul coughs up blood, his face contorting in anger as he glares at Kaito, who stands there with a twisted smile, having just stabbed him in the chest.

Kaito: "I'm bored now."

He smirks arrogantly as he casually tosses Overhaul towards Kiyozawa, his bored expression contrasting with the serious situation at hand.

Kaito: "Anyway, nice seeing you again, Kiyozawa."

He calls out casually before disappearing completely in an instant, leaving behind nothing but empty air and the sound of his arrogant voice.

Overhaul immediately uses his quirk to heal the devastating wound in his chest, his expression filled with disbelief that both he and Kiyozawa were unable to defeat Kaito in their combined efforts.

Kiyozawa: "Are you alright?"

He asks Overhaul gruffly, his concern for the man he was just fighting with moments ago evident in his voice despite their previous hostility.

Overhaul: "I'm fine..."

He replies through gritted teeth, still healing his chest wound.

Overhaul: "He really wanted to kill me... That was no simple attack. He was going for the kill."

This will continue in the next chapter.
