Gideon snatched the envelope and pulled the documents out. His eyes scanned the page, then froze.
The words seemed to blur for a second.
"Noel isn't her child?" His scalp tingled as shock rippled through him. Instantly, his thoughts dragged him back to that morning years ago when he had woken up beside Danica.
Deep down, he had always doubted about that night, that he had not slept with her, because he had been too drunk to do anything.
Something had felt off. Yet when she later showed him a paternity test confirming Noel was his son, he had forced himself to accept it.
Now, staring at this new report, the uncertainty resurfaced stronger than ever. Maybe he truly hadn't slept with her.
But another, more disturbing question surfaced.
