Synopsis: Kei Announces something new to the Trio. And thus their 3 week break began. During their break, the trio attempts to find a way to get stronger. Specifically, Daryl & Masato.
Continuing from the previous story where Daryl casts Crystallized Phenomenon and stops Garga from attacking.
Daryl: Cast!!! Crystallized Phenomenon.
Garga: (Slowly being Frozen In Ice) Not again. Ergh!!!
Hou: Triple Cast. Gar-Heilen. The skies in my hands. Dragonic Gate Breaker. Garga to the right & Gardog to the left.
All of Hou's Cards appear once more. Daryl realized what he has done in shock.
Hou: G BOOST. ACTIVATE!!!
Gardog gets rid of Obsulate. Garga destroys Cross.
Cross: I'm sorry...Daryl...(Destroyed)
Garga: (Raises sword) With this Blade...Thy. Be. (Slashes) Dead!!!
Garga's attack rushes forward. Daryl watches in shock as the slash nearly hits him. Eventually, he was hit.
Daryl: Ahhh!!!
The Flag is destroyed. The two friends shake hands once more. And suddenly, they hear a clapping sound from the stands. It's Kei Jinguji as he's clapping his hands.
Kei: Marvelous Work. That was a splendid Fight. I believe, you three have earned the right to receive some great news.
Everyone stares in confusion. Kei stares at them with a suspicious yet calm and charming smile.
OP: Undead.
Everyone meets up with the President On The Middle Part of the Stage. Upon hearing some news, Everyone's Shocked as they stand there surprised. Particularly, Hou's the one who's shocked most.
Hou: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT? A three week Holiday???
Kei, who's standing in front of them, remain calm with his arms behind him.
Kei: Why so shocked? I thought usually students like Holidays.
Hou: I know but...why so sudden, Mr President?
Kei: Why is that? I thought you (pulls out something from his shirt pocket) never ask.
Kei reveals three envelopes, much to everyone's curiosity.
Kei: This is your answer. (Hands them each)
They each open their envelope & inside, it reveals an invitation. The invitation reveals a new location? There's a "WBA" logo in front of a bunch of shimmering, shining tall buildings. Everyone's confused.
Daryl: W...B....A ?
Kei: World Buddy Academia.
All three: Huh?
Kei: Why do you think the teachers attend a long meeting today? It was to discuss about this special project of mine. You can say even the Principal gave his stamp of approval.
Daryl: But how does this relate to the holiday?
Kei: Simply put. The school will be closed because of the rebranding you see in the invite. Naturally, there is going to be massive changes around here soon.
All three are quite surprised to hear that.
Kei: Fighters from different countries are going to come here. Not just to learn. But to also enjoy & understand more on Buddyfight. In other words, It's a Brand New Buddyfight School.
All three: WHAT?
Hou: A Buddyfight School?
Masato: But isn't this school already a Buddyfight School?
Kei: True. But We are expanding it. You will not only learn about the game, but to also experience different expeditions with monsters, have different monster activities, and so many others that will make you a World Class Fighter!!! And who will be in charge? Yours Truly.
All three: Woah!!!
Kei: You'll find out more details in this weekend's announcement. For now, consider this as a little heads up. And as you are the Ace of Games, Sports & Studies, I would like to formally invite you three to attend this school. What do you say?
All three are stunned for 5 seconds. Later, they smile.
Hou: I'm In.
Daryl & Masato: Yes.
Kei: Splendid. Unfortunately, there won't be any special treatment for you. To enter however, you will need to pass an entrance exam. This way it will be fair for those entering.
While Daryl remains calm, Hou & Masato groans in frustration.
Both: Aww man...
Masato: (sigh) Nothing we can do. No Backsees, Am I right?
Hou: Hate to admit it but yes.
Kei: Then it's settled. (Turns Around) The invitations will be your entry fee. I wish you all good luck in your entrance exams. (Leaves)
After Kei leaves, Hou looks at his invitation with curiosity.
Hou: World Buddy Academia...{smiles} Hmm, Nice Touch.
Daryl: Although, I wonder what will the Entrance Exam will be Like.
Masato: Isn't it obvious? It's A Buddyfight School. Obviously, there would be matches that we have to win or something?
Daryl: Good Point. To pass, we need to get stronger than the way we are now. (Crosses their arms) But how do we do that?
Everyone else Follow Suit as they also cross their arms and go "Hmmmm...". 5 hours later...they all are gathered in Gwen's Cafe. But everyone's mentally tired as their arms are placed under their chin and their elbows on the table. Bonus, there's pizza on their table.
Hou: Ugh...I'm out.
Gwen, who's cleaning some glasses at the counter, watches with an awkward smile.
Gwen: Are you guys okay?
Masato: We're fine Gwen. Just...tired.
Daryl: Even I couldn't think of anything, especially during class earlier.
Hou: {Sarcastic} When was the first time when our buddies evolved? Oh yeah, when our emotions heightened. But wait, it won't work this time because it's like repeating history itself.
Daryl: {Frustrated} Hou, Garga evolved thanks to a Shrine. A Shrine that only works every 10 years!!!
Masato: {Frustrated} Why did you have to find that shrine man? Maybe all of us could've evolved you know!!!
Hou: {Childish} Don't pin this on...(realizes in shock) Wait...Wait Wait Wait Wait Wait...
Everyone watches Hou moving around trying to figure something out in curiosity.
Masato: Something wrong?
Hou: I remembered Gao said something to me once. You guys know about the Shrine right?
Gwen: The what?
Daryl & Masato: {Confused} Yeah?
Hou: He told me once that the Shrine serves as ONE of the Singularity Points that connects Buddyfight to Earth. What if there's more than one?
Everyone's shocked.
Daryl: Yeah...Good Point...Maybe Mount Kinabalu's Shrine isn't the only one. And there's maybe one more or two we don't know about. And I think I know where to look.
Masato: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go.
All three gets up excitedly & leave their table but then a stern & yet close-eyed Gwen stops them by saying "Hold It", which caught their attention by saying "Huh?".
Gwen: (Taunts) The Bill?
Trio: {Defeated} Ugh...
Daryl: I'll pay for it.
After a brief transition, all three arrive at a massive Library??? As they are outside, from their perspective view, the library is shaped like a massive half-shaped globe that includes a cylinder tunnel connecting to another half-shaped globe that also includes another tunnel that connects to even more globes.
Masato: What The. I didn't even know this place existed.
Daryl: Well...welcome to the "All-Purpose-Buddy Encyclopedia". A massive library built by Professor Menjo.
Hou: {Confused} Who?
Daryl: You don't wanna know what he's like. Let's go in.
The moment they're inside, the interior resembles somewhat of a shopping mall. It has a cafe, a laundromat, a clothing store and etc. People are there enjoying their lives and There's even a massive escalator that leads downstairs.
Hou: It's like a shopping mall...
Masato: For Share...
Daryl: I often come here in order to find some new knowledge. (Walks forward) This way.
Masato: I guess that's why they call you the "Ace of Study".
The three walk onto the escalator downstairs, when reached, what's before them are massive amounts of curved shelves full of books!!! There's a relaxation area in the middle. A counter. Tables full of Computers. People are reading books, working on their computers and etc. Once again, same reaction.
Hou: Mamamia...
Garga: Incredible...It's like a massive world of knowledge.
Masato: But there's so many. How are we going to find what's what?
Daryl: There's a computer right there.
There is a computer in front of the a shelf. They walk to it. Daryl then access the Computer by hitting on a few keys. While doing so, information scrolls through the screen bit by bit until they found several results.
Daryl: If we're talking singularity points, it made sense for us to search in the History Section. And since it's regarding Buddyfight, we have to search for history books that have buddyfight in it.
Masato: So many...How can we tell which one is correct?
Daryl: Well...that outcomes the hard part.
Everyone begin to search for the books that's revealed in the results. While Daryl remains calm while reading thoroughly bit by bit, Hou & Masato are losing their minds because of the vast knowledge. Meanwhile, Garga reads a book on the Art of War by Sun Tzu, Cross is reading a book on Stars & Agito is just there...sleeping on the floor.
It took them over 5 hours to find what they're looking for. But sadly, it is to no avail. They are all exhausted and are gathered at the Relaxation Area as they sit down on a curved cushion chair.
Hou: Ugh...Nothing at all. And it's already evening. I'm hungry.
Daryl: We can't give up now. Not like this.
Masato: But how Daryl? I mean, we've tried everything in the results. It's hopeless.
While Daryl struggles to think. Just then however, Hou hears a strange voice calling out to him. It was cold, demeaning, dark, strange.
???: Hou Ren...
Hou: Wha? Did one of you say something?
Daryl: {Confused} Huh? No. Nothing.
Masato: Nope.
Garga: Wait...Hou...Did you hear a voice calling out to you?
Hou: I did. {Surprised} Wait...you too?
Garga: I did. It sounded...cold...demeaning...
???: Come to me.
Hou: Come to...what?
???: Return at Midnight.
Garga: Midnight?
Daryl: What's going on?
Masato: Are you two okay?
Hou: {Strange} I don't know...but me & Garga are hearing voices at the moment.
Garga: {Strange} He's right. It says return here at Midnight. But why?
Agito: Midnight?
Cross: But the Library will be closed by then.
Hou: {Fearful} I don't know what's going on...but I think we're about to go do some treasure hunting.
Everyone watches them while feeling worried and confused. Soon later, it's night time. Hou & Garga are having dinner with his Mother at the moment. While at it, his mother ask them how is school.
Hou's Mother: How's School?
Hou: {Awkward} It was...strange...out of the blue you can say?
Hou's Mother: Is something wrong? Did you fail another exam?
Hou: No. Not like that. So far it's just us having 2 free periods, and then suddenly we got like a 3 week holiday, class resumes, we went to a library and a bunch of meat kebabs happened.
Hou's Mother: {Shocked} A 3 week Holiday? That's So Sudden. Why?
Garga: The School's gonna be off due to some rebranding. You can say there's going to be changes soon.
Hou's Mother: Oh I see. {Delighted} That means you can help me more on the housework.
Hou: {Annoyed} Seriously...
Garga: {Annoyed} Oh Dear...
After Dinner, Hou & Garga prepare themselves for bed. Hou says goodnight to his mother who's outside.
Hou: Night Ma. (Closes the door)
Soon enough, Hou & Garga goes to sleep. Everyone is sleeping soundly. And after two hours, Hou's Alarm Clock beside him rings. And the two immediately gets up and prepare themselves ready. They sneak outside through the Living room window afterwards and run towards a direction while high speed chase music is played in the background. While doing so, Daryl & Masato & their buddies do the same thing. The three Aces are equipped with a Backpack as they ran. Eventually after exactly 1 hour, everyone meets up outside of the Library and pants in exhaustion. Bonus fact, everyone is wearing black clothes & trousers.
Hou: Hey. (pants) Sorry We're late.
Daryl: No. You are just in time. And so are we.
Masato: I seriously can't believe we're going on a heist. Just to find a way to how to get stronger. By the way, nice outfits you guys have.
Daryl: Well it's Hou's Idea in the first place. And can we say they lie? No. I mean My incident a month ago was predicted by them. So them hearing voices together is no ruse.
Hou: Okay Okay, enough. Let's get in ASAP.
All: Right.
And so, they all hide behind a bush in front of the library. While the Security Guards are keeping watch, they climb and sneak over the balcony without getting caught. They jump up and down, avoiding lights, preventing to not make a sound as they run. There are some bushes for them to hide so that security guards won't find them as they walk while carrying flashlights. As they ran, they follow Daryl's instructions as he gives out some tasks.
Daryl: There's an air vent up there.
They reach a rectangular air vent up and Garga lets go of the door blocking it & lifts the three aces up inside and when everyone's in, Garga shuts the vent from inside. They crawl through the vents while Hou has a flashlight on over his mouth. The inside is quite spacious so to speak. One by one, bit by bit, they're atop of the relaxation area. Hou is quite shocked to see what's below them.
Hou: Oh My gosh.
Masato: What is it?
Hou: Umm...Don't be alarmed but...there's a bunch of red pointy sticks under us?
Daryl: {Surprised} Laser Beams??? Oh no...
The laser beams are everywhere in the Library. They are attached to different spots of walls.
Masato: So do we call off the mission?
Hou: No. We've come this far. Like You Said Masato, No Backsees.
Masato: But...
Garga: Hou's right. We're fighters. Not cowards. It reckless yes, but as Albert Einstein said, "Only Those Who Attempt The Absurd will achieve the impossible".
Masato: Okay then how are we going to get in? We're not trained for this.
Garga: Leave it to me. I can fly down. Not let myself caught by lasers. And I can perhaps find a way to disable them.
Hou: But...
Garga: It's the only way.
Garga looks at a Worried Hou eye to eye with a determined face.
Hou: I...(sigh) {Reluctant} Okay. Good Luck.
Daryl: Indeed. We're counting on you.
Thus Garga releases the hatch and flies down with a flashlight on. As he flies, The Lasers nearly hit him. He avoids the lasers slowly One of the lasers is like sliding 0.5 meters near him. The sounds of the lasers are like a sizzling grill while Garga's movements unleashes a small sound of echo. Suddenly, the moon's light shines through one of the windows and when Garga notices that, there is a small box machine attached to a wall.
Garga: {Curious} What's that?
He reaches the box and attempts to examine. It didn't say fire alarm or anything else at all. It's just a lever. He feels worried while maintaining a stern face as he attempts to pull the lever.
Garga: Hmmm...I have to try. If I fail...At least I've gone down trying. (Pulls the Lever down)
Suddenly, an alarm goes off buzzing very loud. Everyone's shocked. Immediately, the laser beams are off.
Garga: Oh NO!!!
Tons of security guards charge in & gather in the Library, armed with weapons. They're going "Hey Hey Hey, What's going on here". They check to see the box but there's no one there??? Garga is hiding atop of the vents. The same vent that everyone's on.
Agito: {Panics} What are we gonna do??? I don't wanna be in Jail!!!
Garga: Leave that to me. (Holds out tons of clothes pegs & throws them everywhere)
The sounds of the pegs hitting the floor caught the attention of the guards and they leave the Library to check out what it is. Meanwhile, Garga destroys the box by throwing a sword at it. He then carries the worried Aces down one by one.
Hou: This is Bad. Now what are we going to do?
Garga: I brought us some time. We need to find where that voice came from stat.
Suddenly, Hou & Garga hear the same voice again, which made them shocked.
???: Hou Ren .... Gargantua Knight Dragon
Hou: There it is again...And it's kinda closer now.
Hou & Garga then notices that the voice become echoey in front of them. The moment they look down & forward slowly, they realize that It came directly from under the middle cushion stool??? They become determined.
Hou: It's under there.
Masato: Are you sure?
Hou: Yeah.
Daryl: Okay...then how are we gonna get in?
Garga: This well...The voice never told us how.
Masato: {Frustrated} Aww Man...Don't tell me, we've come here for nothing.
Daryl: We have to find some sort of hidden switch. Hurry.
All: Right.
Together, all of them activate their flashlights and look for any hidden switch. Everyone's efforts are futile until Masato notices a book on a shelf that's kinda strange. It's Upside Down and it has the Library's Logo in the spine. He finds it very curious with his eyes close up.
Masato: I wonder...
Masato then takes out the book and flips it downside up and place it back onto the shelf. All of a sudden, the middle cushion moves down and away and it reveals something new. A cave dungeon stairway filled with blue flame torches going down. Everyone gathers at it.
Agito: Wha???
Cross: A secret passageway?
Daryl: I never notice that before...Surreal.
Hou: Whatever it is, It came from there. We have to go in. You guys with me?
Masato: {Smirks} Always.
Daryl nods in agreement.
Garga: Then let's go in and find whatever's hidden here.
All: {Determined} Yeah.
All together, they head downstairs slowly and the door closes behind them. What is going to happen next? Next time, "Mission: Trial Passing.". Join us for a buddyfight.
