During math class, Arcane tried to teach well and explain anything his students didn't understand during his lessons.
He could be very strict when teaching, but he could be very friendly to his students when they were able to answer his questions.
"Good job, Amber! You get 10 points for answering my question. Who else can solve the last problem on the board?" he asked the students in class 2A, and the last person to raise her hand was Freya.
Not wanting to look to be avoiding her, he let her answer the math problem on the whiteboard.
With a confident look on her face, the girl walked to the front of the class and picked up a marker. She even winked coyly at her math teacher.
Arcane said nothing and kept a stern expression on his face as he folded his arms across his chest. His green eyes watched Freya fill in the answer until she finally got it right.
"Good job. You can go back to your seat," he said.
"Is that all? You don't want to give me another reward after I answered your hardest question?" asked Freya, batting her eyelashes.
"You'll get 15 points for answering the hardest question. That's all," replied Arcane.
However, Freya seemed dissatisfied with Arcane's answer and asked for something else as a gift.
But, of course, the man did not respond to her request and asked the girl to return to her seat. At first, Freya was unhappy because Arcane did not pay much attention to her. However, she felt that this was still the beginning and she still had plenty of time to seduce the man.
After two hours had passed, the first lesson finally ended and it was time for the next class. Arcane tidied up his books before closing the lesson.
"All right, today's math class is over. Don't forget to do your homework. I will check it again in the next math class in a few days. See you next time," he said as he walked out of the classroom.
Just as he was about to leave the classroom, Freya stopped him at the door, standing there while playing with her hair.
"Thank you for today, Mr. Romano. Thanks to you, I can now easily understand math, which I didn't understand at all before," she said in a spoiled tone.
"I'm glad you understand. It's my job as a math teacher to make sure all my students understand what I teach," he replied with a slight smile.
His eyes then fell on her clothes. It was clear that the girl had deliberately unbuttoned three buttons of her uniform, revealing her cleavage. However, Arcane didn't seem interested at all and walked past her.
Freya looked confused and annoyed because Arcane didn't even glance at her chest.
"It's useless if you want to seduce him! Don't you know that last week he even came here with his husband? He doesn't like girls like you!" said her classmate, then walked away.
Knowing this, Freya felt annoyed, but she was sure that Arcane was actually interested in women. And she wouldn't stop until she got him.
On the other hand, Julian, who was at home, could only spend his time watching TV or playing video games. All day long, he didn't know what to do, and he hadn't even found a job in the city yet.
"I feel so confused. I want to contact Marshal, but he's also busy with work. I don't have any other friends in this city that I can contact," he muttered.
The green haired man then looked at the wall clock, which showed that it was 2:13 p.m. He didn't realize he had been playing games for quite a long time, and now he was hungry. But he couldn't cook at all.
Until now, Arcane had always cooked for him, but now the man was at school for work. Leaving him alone without knowing what to do.
He remembered that there was a minimarket not far from where he currently lived. Julian finally decided to go to the minimarket and maybe buy some instant food that he could heat up in the microwave.
Leaving his house, he headed to the minimarket and looked at some of the food he could buy.
"Maybe buying snacks is also important so I don't get bored while playing games. Besides that, what else should I buy?"
While choosing food, he felt like someone was watching him. Julian glanced around occasionally, looking at the people in the minimarket. But no one looked suspicious.
'Is it just my imagination? I don't know why I feel scared. I'd better buy what I want and go home,' he thought at that moment, then immediately picked up some snacks and paid for them at the cashier.
He then went home with two shopping bags in his hands, occasionally glancing to the right and left to see if anyone was really following him. As soon as he arrived at the gate of Arcane's house, someone suddenly called out to him.
"Are you Julian Thorne?" called a man with a voice so firm that it startled him.
He reflexively turned around and saw a man wearing a gray suit and glasses. He felt like he had seen this man somewhere before, but Julian couldn't remember where.
Finally, he remembered seeing the man in the principal's office where Arcane worked.
"Yes, that's right, I'm Julian Thorne. Aren't you the vice principal where Arcane works?" he asked cautiously.
"That's right. My name is Tori Banshi, I'm the vice principal where your husband works."
Julian nodded in understanding and asked why Tori had come to his place. Because, of course, Arcane was still at school at that time and only he was at home. If he wanted to meet that man, why did Tori come there?
The man explained that he just wanted to check Arcane's home address and see if Julian really lived there too.
"As the vice principal, I have to check whether the teachers who work at our school are really married or just pretending. And it looks like you two really do live together," he said.
"Yes, that's right, we do live together. We didn't live together before because I lived in a small town. But now I've moved to this city and decided to live with my husband," replied Julian, trying to play along.
Tori still seemed suspicious of his relationship with Arcane, even going so far as to say that he wanted to talk to Julian alone.
This was enough to make the young man feel uncertain because he was worried that he would say the wrong thing and ruin Arcane's plan.
'But if I refuse, he might become even more suspicious...' he thought at that moment, confused.
"So what do you say? Can we talk alone?"
He paused for a moment, thinking about his answer, until finally he nodded his head.
"Alright, come in."
