Idalia killed the shudder that arose within her. But she couldn't do anything about the fear that laced her skin, or how her blood turned into ice in her veins, how her breathing got difficult and how she could feel terror breathing down her neck.
He was looking away though. He could not see her breaking and losing her mind.
She wanted to ask if that what it this Idalia wasn't a werewolf like he thought and they were just looking for her for a completely different reason. But then, that would likely turn the suspicion on her.
It was an urge for him not to look for this Idalia. But it would have been a stupid line of action and she was glad she had stopped the words from escaping her mouth.
After all, the only thing keeping her in the clear right now was after all the fact that his science said she and Leo weren't werewolves.
"What if that one is just as insane as the rest of them?"
