Chapter 45 - Danger
"You were strange," she blurted.
"Strange," he stated, as if the word was simply too odd to exist.
"Yes," she continued, not even knowing in what direction she was leading this conversation. "And I have encountered many strange…creaturess lately, like the monsters on your table." She gestured to the bodies, trying to buy herself time. "I thought that perhaps, you were one of them."
The hall fell into silence after that.
Why wasn't he saying anything?
Ah, by Argon! That face! That face that she couldn't read all the time!
"One of them," he finally said, his voice finding a way to sound colder than the room they were in.
"Yes." There was a shiver in her voice and with the way he had tilted his head to a side slightly, he had caught it.
"And if I were one of them, I would kill them?" There was a look on his face that called her stupid.
Well, that was what happened through a proper plan.
