Chapter 48 - Another Shade of Him
Idalia heaved even more signs of relief.
What was that?
In fact, what was going on tonight?
She looked around at the blood.
What was going to happen to all the bodies?
She was certain there would be more downstairs.
Certainly, they would be taken care of just as they were last time. Now that she was seeing this blood everywhere, she was almost happy that she had fallen unconscious last—-
Her face froze with dread.
Blood.
She hurried up to her room, shaking the memories off. She locked the door and headed to the bathroom. She took off her dress and dumped it in the bucket as soon as possible. Then she took off Arik's clothes and did the same. She ensured the bucket stayed covered and far away.
This would be the worst time to give in to her traumatic memories.
Also while she bathed Arik, there were still flashes of it and they didn't wash away until she had laid him on the bed, and gone into the bath herself.
