Chapter 61 - A Full Moon
Something flashed in his eyes. "Will you give me reasons to, Miss Summers?"
Goosebumps laced her skin and something within her trembled. "Have I already given you reasons?"
"As I said," his voice remained quiet, and something about it felt so sincere. "A clean slate."
Her heart skipped a beat and she pulled her arms around her just to do something with them. "Then I will give you no reasons to."
He nodded. Once.
He turned his attention back to the door and his hand gripped the doorknob, pushing the door open. He took a step forward and paused.
"Goodnight Miss Summers. Sleep well, and" he turned to her, his expression stern.
What was it now?
"Enjoy your honeymoon."
She froze before a slow smile played on her lips, the room suddenly feeling warm and ten times more alive. "You too, Mr Lythoryn. Enjoy your honeymoon."
He nodded and closed the door.
