Elian rolled his body over, and the ball of ice rushed past him. It smashed into a nearby tree.
The pink-haired girl pouted her lips, tossing her head back with a sigh. "Oh Elian, you are no fun!"
As she spoke, her hands started moving again, forming another ball of ice.
Elian quickly glanced up, his heart beeting in his chest. He was looking for his his dragon. But up the treeline, the two Noble-High riders were keeping the beast fully engaged. It was two dragon against one in a brutal dogfight.
Shit! He was all alone.
Elian gripped the rough soil, his eyes shifting from the girl to the line behind him.
The white elimination line was barely two feet behind his feets.
Elian took a deep breath and flung himself off the ground, sweeping his leg around in a fierce kick aimed straight at the girl's chin.
Before his boot could land on her, the girl casually flicked her wrist and a wall of solid ice surged forward and slammed hard into his chest.
