Reynold walked into the food center. The hall was filled with a noise as different spoons and forks were banging on plates, and groups of junior officers and new recruits talking over one another.
Then a stone staircase led to another food center hall upstairs that was reserved strictly for senior officers.
Down in the main hall, Marlow was sitting with some junior officers. Coins were moving around their wooden table.
The moment Reynold walked inside, Marlow looked up as he let out a whistle.
"Look who survived the fall!" Marlow shouted over the noise as he kept waving a hand toward Reynold. "The betting pool is going wild over here, Starweaver! They are betting when your storm power will show up? Come on, show us!"
Hearing Marlow words, many heads turned and immediately, murmurs started sounding as many eyes shifted toward Reynold with a mix of curiosity.
Marlow leaned forward and grinned. "Well? Are you going to show us?"
