Reynold and Nymeria were walking beside each other as they headed back toward the bunkhouse.
"I thought I was going to fall and my spirit even left my body, but thanks to Pyreus, she was there on time," Reynold said, as he let out a breath of relief.
Before Nymeria could say anything, two officers' voices sounded from the corner.
"I just got the news that the white mages went in search of the healer girl, but the Forsakens already left their location and went in to hiding."
Hearing this, Nymeria and Reynold stopped dead in their tracks and they exchanged a quick look before moving closer to the wall to hear clearer.
"You think they are going to find her in time?" the first officer asked, his voice very low and tense.
"I do not know, man. But all I know is that we need to be preparing for war."
Reynold's eyes widened. Nymeria quickly grabbed his sleeve and dragged him away before the officer would find out they were listening.
