The big door of officer Margaret office slammed shut with a loud bang that sound all over the corridor of the hallway.
Reynold, Evan, West, and Nyx who were leaning and resting on the cold wall just outside instantly pulled their bodies away and hurried toward Gideon as he emerged. Nymeria, Niya and Lyra who were standing also rushed to him.
"Please tell me we are not going," Evan blurted out with his eyes filling with hope.
"Did you get to change her mind?" Nyx asked as she too stepped closer.
"It is a prank, right?" West added with his voice hopeful.
Gideon stopped in front of them as he let out a heavy dragging sigh and shook his head slowly. His expression was as if he was apologising. "I could not get her to change her mind."
"Shit!" Reynold muttered as he run a hand across his face and then through his hair.
Was he really going to die here with out ever finding out what really happened to his parents?
