Azure Coastline – Before the Storm
Feng Xian stood at the edge of a cliff, sea spray misting his robes. Below, the ocean heaved with growing unrest. Crashing waves struck rock with strange rhythm—almost like a heartbeat.
"The sea sings tonight," Master Ash murmured in his mind.
"And it's calling you."
Feng Xian's palm tingled. The Beast borne Totem tucked in his belt flickered with light—soft, but constant. Ever since they left the Verdant Maw, it had grown warmer near the sea.
"There's something out there," he whispered.
Just then, a ship's horn bellowed in the distance. Lanterns bobbed in the fog. A fishing vessel, torn and splintered, came drifting ashore.
Sailors scrambled to the beach—one of them collapsed. He wore robes of sea foam green, soaked in blood, his hand clenched around a broken coral conch compass.
Feng Xian rushed forward.
The man's eyes fluttered open, unfocused, lips trembling.
"The… the Crown has awakened…"
"Tide woven Pavilion… betrayed… beware the silver storm…"
He coughed seawater—and fell still.
Moments Later – In the Shadows
On a distant cliff, Shui Meixiu watched from the fog, her crescent blade gleaming faintly beneath her cloak. Hai Tonga stood beside her, frowning.
"He's one of ours. We warned him not to chase the Trident alone," Meixiu said, her voice like the tide.
"And now that flame boy is sniffing around," Tonga added.
Meixiu narrowed her eyes as Feng Xian knelt beside the dying man, his hand glowing faintly with crimson light.
"Fire… again. Why is it always fire?"
The wind howled. From the sea, a distant roar echoed—something massive stirring beneath the waves.
The storm had begun.
