"The Creation Points… Let's kill a few beasts and see what limits exist to this gift," Seth thought, recalling something from the description of Amon's gift.
The moment he finished speaking, he didn't wait for Amon before his figure vanished into the bushes a few meters away.
He appeared back at his previous location, holding two massive creatures that resembled bulls.
Seth's eyes gleamed with excitement as he dropped the incapacitated beasts to the ground.
"Father…" Amon's voice trailed off as he stared at the two bull-like creatures.
He could tell these were not ordinary beasts.
"Here… will you be alright taking the lives of these two creatures?"
Seth could still remember the first time he killed demons. Back then, he had been restless for more than a week, and only after a long time did he finally calm down.
"Yes," Amon replied confidently, then reached out toward the blade in his father's hands.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Without hesitation, he delivered a killing blow to the bull. Blood spilled onto his clothes, covering him.
Amon felt the urge to puke his guts out but held it in. He couldn't show weakness at this moment. Moreover, his attention was drawn to something else.
[Gained 10 Creation Points.]
"Father! It shows that I gained 10 Creation Points!" Amon exclaimed, suppressing his discomfort.
Seth recovered from his shock and nodded in understanding.
Meanwhile, his heart was truly shaken. What a strong mentality! This son of mine, with such a mindset, is destined for greatness!
Seth's heart filled with pride as he watched Amon deal with the second bull.
[Gained 6 Creation Points.]
"This time it's far less. I only gained 6 Creation Points."
Seth rubbed his chin in deep thought, then suggested, "Perhaps the Creation Points are randomized, or they lessen with each kill. We'll explore that slowly. However, before then, it's time to put the ability to use."
"Yes, Dad," Amon nodded without hesitation, then focused his thoughts inward.
Subconsciously, he could feel how to control his body.
His mind began to shape something illusory. It was as though a unique mental space existed where all his imagination came to life.
Amon twisted and molded the shape forming in his mind, and gradually, an illusory sword took form.
[Object is automatically set to F-Rank by default.]
A message flashed briefly before his eyes, and the next instant, a sword that looked no different from his father's appeared in his hand.
"This…" Seth, dumbfounded, reached for the sword and examined it closely.
"The appearance is similar to mine, but the qualities and specialties aren't there. It's like a weaker version made from the most basic of materials."
Amon explained to his father the words he was seeing, causing Seth's eyes to brighten briefly.
"In that case, try increasing the rank of the sword," he suggested.
Amon immediately acted on his words.
'Increase the rank of the object.'
[Error. Rank is set by default. Only after evolving Celestial Gift can the rank of creation be increased.]
Amon was stunned. Evolving my Celestial Gift? What is that?
Receiving no response, Amon felt a slight headache, then relayed the information to his father.
"This…" Seth fell into deep thought.
Silence stretched between them for a long while before Seth finally spoke.
"Although I've never heard of a Celestial Gift that can evolve, since Celestial Gifts come from one's Celestial Dragon, perhaps as your dragon grows stronger, so will your gift and the range at which you can use it."
Amon also considered this, his eyes falling on the small, furry creature sleeping in his hand.
"Nonetheless, it's still not a bad thing. With enough Creation Points, you can create anything, though it will be at F-Rank. Gradually, as your gift strengthens, perhaps it won't be impossible for you to create a world of your own."
Seth's voice trembled, trailing off as he realized the true terror of Amon's gift.
Amon nodded in excitement, clenching his fists tightly.
He had been given a chance.
He was already walking the path of the God of Creation.
"I promise to climb that mountain and become its head!" Amon suddenly declared with unshakable resolve.
Even Seth trembled, feeling the confidence in his words.
To think Amon was only five years old…
What was I doing when I was five? Seth rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"That's quite ambitious," he laughed, "but you have your father's complete support!"
"Thank you, Dad," Amon said, touched.
Seth just laughed and pointed at the massive dragon he had slain.
"Today calls for celebration, and what better way than to feast on dragon meat? You've never had dragon meat before, right?"
Amon's eyes glowed. "Yeah, Dad. I wonder what it tastes like."
In both lifetimes, he had never tasted dragon meat. Now, about to have it for the first time, his heart filled with anticipation.
"Haha, you're in for a treat. Besides, your mother cooks the best dragon meat. You truly are blessed," Seth exclaimed, then grabbed the massive dragon, and both of them vanished.
A few seconds later, a courtyard rippled, and Amon and his father appeared.
As though sensing something, five seconds later a lady with a worried expression rushed out from the house.
"Amon!" Vela exclaimed, gently hugging him and ruffling his hair.
She slapped Seth lightly on the shoulder. "Where did you take our son so suddenly?"
Seth scratched the back of his head. "Sorry. I felt like eating a dragon today, so I dealt with Raruk."
"The dragon by the mountainside?" Vela widened her eyes in surprise.
Seth nodded.
Vela just shook her head, already used to Seth's behavior.
"Even if you have a weird appetite, don't drag my son into it."
"About Amon… his gift is… unparalleled. We have a lot to discuss during dinner, especially how his future will play out, because he might just be the key to eliminating the Star Gates plaguing this world once and for all."
Vela furrowed her brows and glared at Seth.
"Don't place such responsibilities on the little boy. If you want to be a hero, then go ahead. I just want my son… to be happy."
"Yeah, I get it. Sorry for bringing that up, haha."
