Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Two Blue Silver Grasses? (Part Two)

After Yin Hao left, Tang San was the only one left who hadn't awakened his martial soul.

Tang San stepped forward and, following the same steps as before, another Blue Silver Grass bloomed in his hand.

Su Yuntao hadn't held out much hope, so seeing the Blue Silver Grass didn't disappoint him much.

  "Alright, you can go now."

"Brother, you haven't tested my soul power yet!"

Su Yuntao was stunned. He was about to say that Blue Silver Grass wouldn't have soul power, but remembering Yin Hao's earlier statement, he swallowed his words. He

took out a crystal ball and handed it to Tang San.

Tang San placed his hand on it, and another burst of light shone brightly. Although it was slightly weaker than when Yin Hao tested it, it wasn't too much different.

  "Ninth-level innate soul power?"

Originally, Tang San should have had full innate soul power, but in the past few years, Yin Hao had "traded" away several levels with items. Fortunately, he had the Xuan Tian Gong, which allowed him to cultivate at a fast pace, allowing him to recover to level nine. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't even have reached level five.

Su Yuntao was completely stunned. Was Blue Silver Grass really that popular now? What else could that thing do besides feed sheep, cows, and rabbits?

"Nine-level innate soul power, but it's a useless martial soul, otherwise he'd be a genius."

The door opened, and Old Jack greeted Su Yuntao with a tense expression.

"Master, how is it? Is there any chance that any of the children in our village will become Soul Masters this year?"

Su Yuntao looked at him, sighed, and said.

"There are two, but it's a pity."

Jack's eyes showed a look of doubt and uncertainty as he tentatively asked, "Master, what exactly is it..."

Su Yuntao said, "Of these nine children this year, only two possess soul power, one with full innate soul power and the other with nine-level innate soul power. Unfortunately, their martial souls are both Blue Silver Grass. Do you understand?"

"Blue Silver Grass? And two of them?" Jack's disappointment was even more severe than Su Yuntao's.

He had been the village chief for so many years, so he naturally understood what full innate soul power and nine-level soul power represented. But such innate soul power appearing on a Blue Silver Grass martial soul is truly...sigh...

Just as the two were chatting, nine children emerged from the Spirit Hall one after another.

Old Jack stopped chatting and looked at the group of children, but after searching for a long time, he couldn't find his grandson.

Instead, there was a handsome boy with blue hair.

Seeing that Su Yuntao was about to leave, Old Jack quickly stopped him and said,

"Respected War Soul Master, where is my boy? Why hasn't he come out yet?"

Su Yuntao turned around and pointed to the handsome boy with blue hair.

  "Isn't that him?"

After saying that, he turned and left, leaving Old Jack alone, bewildered in the wind.

The evening breeze was blowing gently, and it felt warm rather than cold.

Old Jack held Yin Hao's hand and walked towards home, glancing at Yin Hao from time to time. He was still not over it.

After the martial soul awakening ended, he had talked with the boy in front of him for more than half an hour before finally confirming that he was his grandson.

What puzzled him, however, was how his free-range chickens had suddenly transformed into geese? Was it a genetic mutation? Thankfully,   plastic

surgery didn't exist, or who knows what Old Jack would think.

...   Meanwhile, Tang San had already returned home.

Tang Hao was still the same, tattered clothes, filthy hair, and a generally颓废 (颓废 is a difficult word to translate directly, but it conveys a sense of listlessness, decadence, and apathy) aura surrounding him.

Seeing Tang San return, Tang Hao didn't even look up, casually asking,

"You're back? What martial soul did you awaken?"

Although Tang Hao had been indifferent to him since childhood, even needing Tang San's care, Tang San still cherished this hard-won family bond and treated Tang Hao with great respect.

  Tang San began,

"Dad, I awakened the Blue Silver Grass martial soul..."

As he spoke, he opened his right hand, and a small, blue grass instantly appeared.

"Blue Silver Grass?" For some reason, Tang Hao, who was usually uninterested in anything, suddenly trembled upon hearing these three words, and a peculiar light appeared in his eyes.

Tang San thought Tang Hao was upset that his martial soul was too weak, so he quickly added,

"Dad, actually I have another martial soul, it seems... it's a hammer..."

Tang Hao's carefully crafted emotions were instantly interrupted, and he abruptly looked in Tang San's direction.

"What did you say? You have another martial soul."

Tang San nodded, extending his other hand. With a flash of black light, a jet-black hammer appeared in his left hand.

The moment it appeared, Tang San's brows furrowed, his face paled slightly, and his left hand trembled involuntarily, as if he might drop it at any moment.

Tang Hao became even more agitated, two streams of tears sliding down his cheeks. He gripped Tang San's arm tightly with both hands, looking up at the sky.

"Twin martial souls! My son has twin martial souls!"

At this moment, Tang Hao's long-dormant heart of revenge was reignited. "The Spirit Hall..." Tang Hao's eyes flashed with ruthlessness, but he quickly concealed it, unnoticed by Tang San.

After a long silence, Tang Hao slowly uttered a sentence, "Remember, in your future, you must use the hammer in your left hand to protect the grass in your right. Forever."

Tang San, though somewhat confused, nodded.

Tang Hao turned to return to his room, but then, Tang San seemed to remember something.

"Oh, right, Dad, someone else awakened their Blue Silver Grass spirit today too."

Tang Hao waved his hand. With billions of people on the Douluo Continent, at least tens of thousands of people awaken their Blue Silver Grass spirits every year, so he didn't care.

However, Tang San's next sentence immediately attracted his attention.

"But... his Blue Silver Grass seems a bit different from mine. It feels thicker and stronger, with golden stripes around it, it looks very beautiful..."

  Tang Hao turned around abruptly.

"Little San, what did you say? Blue Silver Grass with golden stripes? And it's thicker than yours?"

Seeing Tang Hao's excited expression, Tang San was curious but didn't rush to ask. Instead, he nodded and continued,

"Not only that, but when he summoned his spirit, I also felt a sense of closeness, and... awe..." Although

he didn't want to admit it, Tang San did have a fleeting thought of submission when Yin Hao summoned his spirit, but he quickly suppressed it.

Tang Hao seemed even more excited, grabbing Tang San's arm and asking eagerly.

"Who? Who awakened that martial soul? Who are his parents?"

Tang San's brow furrowed slightly, a little sore from being gripped, but he still spoke.

"It's Yin Hao, the one who always brings us rice. He has no parents, he's an orphan, adopted by Grandpa Jack."
