Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Taking Xiao Wu to Buy a Blanket

After speaking with Wang Sheng, Yin Hao turned to Tang San.

"Xiao San, there are many empty beds here, just pick one..."

  "Okay."

Tang San nodded, then randomly picked an empty bed and carried the blanket over. As he passed Xiao Wu, he unconsciously glanced at her, feeling a strange sense of familiarity, but he dismissed it. He'd never seen this little girl before, so where did this familiarity come from?

Xiao Wu looked at the clean blanket in Tang San's hand, then thought for a moment that she didn't seem to have one, so she looked at Yin Hao and said,

  "Hey, Yin... Boss..."

  Yin Hao said.

  "Just call me Brother Hao."

  Xiao Wu nodded.

"Brother Hao, did you bring a blanket?"

  Yin Hao shook his head.

  "No..."

He had barely finished speaking when a group of his henchmen behind him started working.

  "Boss, use mine."

  "Mine is for you, boss."

"Mine is clean, boss, use mine."

  ...

Xiao Wu also looked at Yin Hao expectantly, indicating that he shouldn't forget her.

Yin Hao smiled, gave her a reassuring look, and then spoke to everyone.

"I'm your boss, so I have to be responsible for you. I took your blankets, so you don't need to ask what you'll use. I'll just go buy one myself..."

Seeing Yin Hao's "I'm thinking of you" attitude, everyone was deeply moved.

  "Boss..."

Then Yin Hao turned to look at Xiao Wu.

"Let's go, Xiao Wu, come with me to buy blankets. I'll buy one for you too."

Hearing this, a glint of light flashed in Xiao Wu's eyes.

  "Really? Then let's go quickly..."

She then pulled Yin Hao and walked outside.

Yin Hao smiled and shook his head. She really was an impatient rabbit.

  ...

The two arrived on the street. Xiao Wu ate the premium crystal radish she had taken from Yin Hao while looking around with curiosity, occasionally asking Yin Hao a few questions.

Yin Hao patiently explained everything to him.

  "Brother Hao, what's this?"

"Candied hawthorn, do you want some?"

"Never mind, I'll just eat a radish."

"Brother Hao, this flower is so pretty! Can we buy it?"

"This is a wreath, it's for the dead."

"Why send flowers to the dead? They can't see..."

As Xiao Wu uttered one shocking statement after another, Yin Hao felt that if she hadn't seen him as a child, she would have hit him. So, after apologizing, he quickly pulled Xiao Wu away.

The two arrived at a bedding shop and asked the owner,

"Boss, how much are two sets of bedding?"

The owner, a middle-aged man, greeted Yin Hao with a smile.

"Little friend, you've come to the right place to buy bedding from me! My bedding is famous far and wide, both affordable and beautiful..."

Seeing the owner about to boast, Yin Hao quickly interrupted him.

The owner wasn't embarrassed and began to introduce the bedding to Yin Hao.

"Look at this bedding set. It's made from the fur of a fifty-year-old Flame Sheep, a soul beast. If you want to buy it, I'll sell it to you cheaply for just two gold soul coins."

Upon hearing the price, Yin Hao quickly waved his hand.

"Too expensive, just find me a cheaper one."

Seeing that Yin Hao thought it was too expensive, the shopkeeper didn't insist and then pointed to another set of quilts.

"Then look at this set. Although the soul beast isn't fifty years old, it's still ten, and it's made from the pelts of five ten-year-old Soft Bone Rabbits..."

Yin Hao's heart skipped a beat when he heard the words "Soft Bone Rabbit," and he turned to look at Xiao Wu.

At this moment, Xiao Wu's face had darkened, and she was glaring angrily at the shopkeeper.

Seeing this, Yin Hao quickly interrupted the shopkeeper, who was still excitedly talking.

"Shopkeeper, I don't need soul beast pelts, just a regular quilt is fine."

The shopkeeper stopped introducing the quilts and looked Yin Hao up and down. He had previously thought Yin Hao was a young master from a wealthy family because of his good looks and refined demeanor, but he had been mistaken.

Somewhat disappointed, the shopkeeper pointed to the quilts on the far side.

"That's the cheapest blanket in our shop, only one silver soul coin."

  "One silver soul coin?"

Yin Hao said with a surprised look.

  "Why is it so expensive?"

The shopkeeper frowned, but still spoke up, believing that customers are the gods of wealth.

"Young man, this really is the cheapest blanket in our shop. Even if you go to other shops, you won't find anything cheaper. I'm not ripping you off at all..."

Xiao Wu seemed to see Yin Hao's "difficult" look and said.

  "Brother Hao, what's wrong?"

Yin Hao said, pretending to be "embarrassed."

"Xiao... Xiao Wu, I'm sorry, I didn't expect the blanket to be so expensive. The money I have left... is only enough to buy one blanket...

But don't worry, I'll use all my money to buy you one. As for myself... I'm a boy, it's okay if I don't have a blanket..."

Seeing Yin Hao's "selfless" appearance, Xiao Wu was deeply moved.

The middle-aged shopkeeper also paused for a moment, as if seeing his younger self. He looked at the blanket not far away, then at Yin Hao, and seemed to have made a decision.

"Good boy, how about this? For one Silver Soul Coin, Uncle will sell you two sets, and the other set is a gift from Uncle..."

Yin Hao looked at the shopkeeper in shock. He never expected that his acting was so good, not only moving Xiao Wu but also getting the shopkeeper to make a concession.

However... good intentions are good, but you've misplaced them!

Yin Hao's brain raced, and suddenly a good excuse popped into his head, so he waved his hand and said,

  "No need, Uncle..."

This left the shopkeeper and Xiao Wu stunned, wondering what Yin Hao meant.

  Yin Hao said righteously,

"My grandfather once told me that a gentleman does not eat food offered with contempt. Besides, Uncle and me are not related. I can't let Uncle pay for what I said. If Uncle is so kind, please keep the quilt for me, and I can buy it again when I have the money."

"Good, good, good! What a good boy!"

The shopkeeper said "good" three times in a row, his eyes filled with undisguised admiration.

"Okay, Uncle i promises you, I'll keep it for you. You can buy it again when you have more money."

  "Okay."

  ...

Finally, after paying his "entire fortune" of one silver soul coin, Yin Hao left with Xiao Wu, carrying a quilt.

They hadn't gone far from the shop when Xiao Wu said,

"Brother Hao, you gave me your quilt, what are you going to use?"

"Didn't I say? I won't use it now. I'll buy another one when I have more money. I'm a big guy, I won't get cold."

Hearing this, Xiao Wu hesitated for a moment, then walked over with the quilt and said, "Brother Hao, I think this quilt is quite big. Let's put the two beds together and use it together."

Hearing this, Yin Hao initially "declined," but seeing Xiao Wu's firm attitude, he "reluctantly" agreed. Then he and Xiao Wu went back to the dormitory to move the beds.

However, Xiao Wu didn't see a smile appear on Yin Hao's face the instant he turned around.

  (Reader: Pah! You pedophile!

Yin Hao: Hey, don't talk nonsense! She brought it up herself, what does it have to do with me?)
