"Everyone heard what he said?"
Casper asked everyone.
"You, lead us where you spotted those cruelmancers, and the rest of us will follow the plan ."
Casper went ahead followed by Dani and the first team, then the teams headed by Sarah and Krisner followed.
They maintained their formation and moved swiftly and quietly through the trail the espionage showed them.
They navigated through the thick forest of Eleris , by simply walking and did not use any any of their abilities so as to not alert the cruelmancers.
They went further inside only to find out the cruelmancers were not present there.
Dani could find the trails of the cruelmancers with her powers as she had previously displayed and according to her they were on the right path.
Dani signaled everyone to stop any of the movements, only she would go ahead and yes, she was right, they were inside the cave.
She gestured through her hand that everyone needs to follow her.
Everyone came along with her.
She whispered, the cruelamncers are coming outside, everyone take their positions between bushes.
3,2,1….and boom…
Casper and Dani had hidden themselves on the upper branches of the trees.
But their surprise attack did not work, the third tier cruelmancer deflected it with his bare hands and quick movements.
The other two cruelmancers also started attacking Dani and Casper.
Casper screamed, " Knights of team 1 disable the movements of the tier 3 cruelmancer and Team 2 and 3 distract and kill the tier 2 cruelmancers."
The triangular and semicircular formation, none of them seemed to work as the forest was quite packed with trees all over.
So they changed their strategy to plan B making surprise attacks by hiding in the thick bushes.
The cruelmancers target was the core of the magicians and the knights, it could elongate its hands to reach it.
So, it was pretty easy for the knights and magicians to read their movements.
Casper commanded the knights that this was the time to use the chains and the strength of the trees to pull the chains and restrict it's movements.
While Casper was busy fighting with the tier 3 cruelmancer, the knights put up this set up of chains and implemented the trap.
It got trapped by the chains unable to move.
Now, it was the chance of the tier 2 cruelmancers to meet their fate.
Sarah used her ferocious fire ball spell to create an impact, this time her spells were accurate, her training worked out.
She was assisted by the priests who were buffing her movements by providing her some strength as the spells were too draining.
The light from the fire balls were too bright ,hot .....it caused some damage to the surrounding bushes and trees.
But it was effective, Sarah also created the chains, a level lower than the one used to bound the tier 3 cruelmancer, as she excelled in creation magic.
The chains were given to the knights to put it arounf the trees.
The demons and imperial loyalist mages were doing their jobs perfectly too.
The demons used the curse, "slow down speed" on the cruelamancer, it seemed to be effective.
The mages from the imperial loyalist faction too used up their spells. They excelled in lightning magic a rare type of magic spell, so they used the electrifying light to their advantage.
One by one lightning spells were dropped from the sky and this time it was the cruelamncers who were evading the attack.
This was a planned attack so that they fall in the rare sight of their vision....the path where the chains were laid.
And yes, it worked, the chains grasped them from behind their feet.
Finally they were caught by the chains, they were resisting the chains but to no avail.
Meanwhile ,the tier 3 cruelmancer was also trying to escape the chains, but Casper and the knights were not giving a single chance for him to escape.
A diagonal slash on his left arm
A vertical slash on his right knee
A combined movement by Casper and one of the knight to pierce his chest, a spiral fast-moving sword was going to pierce his chest.
And to their surprise, he escaped from the chains and used his black magic to create a small explosion.
It was not deadly , they had no choice but to retreat a few steps back.
Now, it was going on rampant, doing such explosions left and right.
Swish, a sound came from above, stopping the cruelmancer for 3 seconds.
Dani knew it was the right time to attack it, as the cruelmancer was in rage and targeting randomly.
She then used the spell she was quite good at, the manifestation of goddess lunaris, but this time she used all of her remaining strength for this attack, the spell was in action as the light glew, far as it could, till the shore of Eleris from where they came.
It was day time, so it became even brighter.... engulfing all the bits of darkness around there.
They used the time of the day ,the location all to their advantage.
There was teamwork and tactics utilized properly.
But wasn't this quite an easy win?
