Chapter 1 - The Blessed Light of Memoria

"Yippee… today is the coronation ceremony of our friend—oh, forgive me. I should say, of our Empress."" said Rica, standing in the garden of the majestic castle, shining under the white, glittering starlight.

It had been four months since the war ended, and everything had been brought under control by the Great Commander. She was the unofficial leader of the world, Memoria, and today was the day she would officially ascend to her rightful position.

She was accompanied by her friend Dani, who replied, "Well, I suppose such things don't matter. We were her friends, and we always will be."

The subtle yet melancholic music seemed made for this day. The kingdom of mighty dwarves — Mesa, the kingdom of holy saints — Morquine, the kingdom of humans — Insaria, the kingdom of eleves- Eleris and the kingdom of demons- Azeth had all gathered together to welcome the truly worthy queen of the new world — Memoria.

One would think this banquet was meant only for the high officials of the respective kingdoms, but you would be proven wrong. The citizens of all kingdoms the great and the small alike, were invited, for this event was destined to be recorded in the history of Memoria.

It was a moment of joy for everyone. Their journey had been long and harsh, yet the courage and determination in their hearts to move forward had been led by the very person whose entrance everyone awaited.

Danver, the nation representative of Mesa and a member of the council of Memoria, said, "I have tears in my eyes, seeing our world victorious over the cruelmancers. Though some of our brethren are not here, this is their triumph as well. We stand with our Empress." The others nodded in agreement.

The banquet was simple, yet perfectly befitting the grandeur of the celebration. Suddenly, the air seemed charged with majesty and purity, as delicate petals from the blushing blossom trees floated down on a gentle breeze, heralding the presence of something extraordinary.

"Long live the Empress! Utmost respect to the Empress of Memoria!" echoed through the Castle of Solidarity, as the most awaited person made her entrance.

Their voices seem to reach the heavens as they praised her in unison. A poised figure with a calm demeanor — as beautiful as her soul — appeared before them. She was draped in a simple yet elegant gown of emerald green.

The priest then made an announcement. "With utmost gratitude, we welcome our Empress of Memoria —Empress Melania."

Melania climbed the stairs to the stage, awestruck by the love and respect showered upon her.

The priest continued, "Your Majesty, could you please make this night even more beautiful by enlightening us with your words?"

Melania nodded, taking a glance at each and every citizen before speaking.

"Memoria — this world is yours. It was built by every soul present here, and by those watching us from the heavens.

Remember, you are the reason we can live another day. You are as worthy of respect as I am. I believe we will stand together through any struggle, should catastrophe ever strike again.

The trust you have shown in me will never be broken. I will not fail in my duty to unite all five nations, for Memoria — the world we built together — cannot be destroyed by anything. We have already endured the long, gloomy days of bloodshed.

Let us now create a place for Memoria in our hearts — a peaceful home for all. Let us take an oath together."

All dwarves, humans, priests, elves, and demons raised their right hands and said in unison,

"We, the people of Memoria, will forge an iron will in our hearts and never forget the sacrifices of our people who made this world a better place for all. We are one."

Silence followed — some remembered their lost loved ones, others simply dreamt of the peaceful era that was about to begin.

Melania then proclaimed, "Long live the citizens of Memoria. Long live our unity. We are one."

Everyone knew they had made the right decision — entrusting their future to the strongest and kindest empress in the world.

The citizens responded in unison,

"We are one! Long live Empress Melania!"

Melania smiled softly, lifted her wine glass, and said,

"Let us enjoy this night and renew our hearts by letting go of the past. Raise your glasses — and a toast, to all of you."
