Chapter 48 - Obito Commands Six Tailed Beasts; The Battlefield Splits, Naruto and Kurama Make Peace!

[Ōnoki]: "Hold up—our village's Jinchūriki is in there too?!"

[Rasa]: "Scared me to death. Thank goodness Gaara's not—"

[Gaara]: "…"

[Minato]: "Obito is controlling six Jinchūriki at once?"

[Rin]: "Then what level is his power now…?"

[Itachi]: "At least beyond Kage-class."

Naruto and Killer B landed together at the edge of the shattered plain. Across from them, the man in the spiral-pattern mask stood on a tree limb like a judge about to pass sentence. The new mask looked harder than old grudges—no cracks, no doubt—like he meant to tell the world: If the mask doesn't break, then I'm not wrong.

"I told you," Naruto growled, "I'm ripping that mask off!"

"Try it," Obito replied, voice flat. "I'll take you both and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi."

He flicked his wrist. The six Jinchūriki moved as one.

They hit like a tide. Even B's rhythm stumbled.

[Killer B]: "Oh yeee—this enemy's too mean!"

[Raikage A]: "Stop rapping and start fighting, idiot!"

B exploded into the Eight-Tails. A forest of octopus limbs spun like a living cyclone, gouging out the ground. Obito didn't blink—his six Jinchūriki flared, tails bursting into full bijū forms. The sky dimmed under the weight of chakra.

Naruto and the Eight-Tails were swatted away like bright-colored toys.

[Might Guy]: "So many monsters!"

[Kakashi]: "At this rate, even Madara might not beat him…"

[Madara]: "Pebbles boasting before a mountain."

A coral-calcifying blast locked Naruto's limbs; he couldn't move. Obito dropped from his branch, palm reaching for Naruto's face—the moment he needed the boy to be real.

A blue flare cut in.

"Leaf Strong Whirlwind!!"

Guy's kick howled past Obito's mask. Space rippled—intangible again. Kakashi swooped in, scooping Naruto away before the next strike could land.

Obito straightened, analyzing out loud, "Baiting me to materialize… two more annoyances."

Naruto blinked awake to see Kakashi on his left, Guy on his right—two pillars that never fell, especially when things got stupid.

"I've got a Sharingan too," Kakashi said quietly.

"And beside him—Konoha's Blue Beast," Guy added, eyes burning.

Their stares locked with Obito's. For a breath, even the wind held its tongue.

[Sarada]: "This Obito… Rinnegan, Demonic Statue, plus six tailed beasts?"

[Boruto]: "Dad's getting steamrolled…"

[Iwabe]: "Good thing the Sixth showed up!"

[Metal Lee]: "Guy-sensei was insanely cool when he was young!"

Obito's answer was simple: action. Six bijū split the ground like a shogi board, carving the battlefield into two fronts—three beasts pressing Naruto and B, three crashing toward Kakashi and Guy. Feints, retreats, sudden surges—the choreography of annihilation.

[Tobirama]: "Unless Guy opens the Eight Gates, they lose."

[Guy]: "So… the Red Beast takes the stage?"

[Kakashi]: "Guy, don't."

Obito regrouped five bijū, leaving one to pin Naruto and B. Five maws gathered light. Five Tailed Beast Bombs ballooned, black cores gnawing at the air. The world dimmed as if the sun itself inhaled.

Guy braced. Kakashi's left eye whirled. "I'll warp them with Kamui—"

"Too many," Guy snapped. "Your eye won't keep up!"

Across the torn field, Killer B shouted, "Yo Naruto! Five nukes inbound—this ain't a mixtape!"

Naruto's fists trembled. For a second, he felt small again.

Then a low, familiar rumble rolled through him.

"Hey, kid."

The Nine-Tails' voice was sand and thunder. "We've come this far, haven't we?"

Images flashed—every scuffle, every promise, every time he'd stood between the world and the dark with this stubborn fox at his back.

Naruto stared into the cage inside himself.

Kurama stared back.

The lock clicked.

The gate swung open.

"Then let's go, Kurama."

He held out his hands. The fox grinned like a sunrise with teeth.

"Try to keep up."

The seal shattered like old shackles. A golden flood roared out—Nine-Tails Chakra Mode ignited, lines of light racing across Naruto's body. He launched—pure lightning in human shape.

BOOM.

He met the five Bijuudama mid-arc, tail of light sweeping once—twice—five times. The bombs screamed off course, curving like punished comets before detonating along the distant ridge. Mountains buckled. The shockwave rolled back in awe.

Guy's jaw literally dropped. Kakashi just stared, wide-eyed, like he'd seen a ghost in an old white coat.

Because in that blazing gold, the silhouette wasn't just Naruto.

Behind him, the raspy outline of a Fourth Hokage cloak fluttered—chakra echo, bloodline memory, or maybe just the way a son carries his father without trying.

"L-…Lord Fourth?" Kakashi's voice cracked.

[Boruto]: "LET'S GOOOOO!!"

[Sarada]: "Seventh Hokage… what a monster."

[Itachi]: "He batted away five Tailed Beast Bombs."

Naruto turned, fox-fire blazing, blue eyes clear. "Mask or no mask—Obito—I'm not letting you chain this world."

Across the field, Obito's fingers tightened. His mask didn't crack. But for the first time, his heartbeat did.

And high above, six titanic shadows shifted… as a seventh presence—older, colder—finally took an interest.
