The entire ninja world was still frozen in shock.
Six. Hundred. Billion. Explosive tags.
Konan had literally turned the ocean into a bomb.
And Obito—madman that he was—had chosen to tank the whole thing head-on.
[Deidara]: "Konan-senpai's art… is beyond divine!"
[Hidan]: "Art? This isn't art! This is mass homicide! Kakuzu's already dead!"
[Kakuzu]: "N-no… I can still be revived… maybe…"
Poor Kakuzu clutched his chest, frothing at the mouth. He looked like he'd already filed his resignation with the Shinigami.
"Konan, you demoness! You blew up my entire savings account!"
[Obito]: "I just came to ask for directions. Hand over Nagato's body and I might've not killed you."
[Konan]: "Heh. Over my dead body."
[Itachi]: "After that kind of blast, even if he lived, he should've shed a few layers of skin."
[Izuna]: "As expected of the Uchiha bloodline!"
[Iwabe]: "Taking a bath in six hundred billion tags? Sarada, your clan's terrifying."
[Denki]: "Seriously, ultimate durability confirmed."
[Tsubaki]: "I thought the Hyūga were the strongest clan. Guess I was wrong!"
[Hiashi]: "…"
Hiashi fell silent. Once proud of the Hyūga name, even he had to admit—between Susanoo, Izanagi, and now tag-proof skin—the Uchiha were cheating.
[Hashirama]: "That blast lasted so long… Obito can't still be alive, right?"
[Tobirama]: "He used Izanagi."
[Jiraiya]: "Obito… pulled an Izanagi out of nowhere!?"
The smoke stretched for miles.
When it finally cleared, Konan was on her knees, panting hard, paper wilting across the water like ash.
Her jutsu, Paper Person of God Technique, had finally dissolved.
All chakra—gone.
"But with that… Madara must be…"
She staggered forward—then froze.
An oppressive chill filled the air.
Konan's pupils shrank.
A black rod pierced clean through her stomach. Blood trickled down her cloak, bright against white paper wings.
"W-Why… you should be dead…"
Her voice trembled in disbelief. She'd rehearsed this trap countless times—how could it fail?
The watchers gasped.
[Itachi]: "Wait. 'Countless times'?!"
[Kisame]: "Akatsuki really did have R&D sessions, huh."
[Deidara]: "If she practiced that many times… Kakuzu's fortune went up in smoke so many times!"
[Hidan]: "Stop talking! He just flatlined again!"
Kakuzu's eyelids fluttered open—just long enough to see the footage.
Then he fainted again.
"Countless rehearsals?! Konan, you absolute menace!"
[Madara]: "From a technical standpoint, Obito's execution of Izanagi is flawless."
[Tobirama]: "He survived five straight minutes of continuous explosions through intangibility, then used Izanagi for the final detonation. Impressive."
[Hashirama]: "The Uchiha heritage really is absurd."
[Izuna]: "Hmph. That's our power!"
Obito's single remaining Sharingan spun down, the tomoe closing as he deactivated the jutsu.
He explained the principles of Izanagi calmly—half lecture, half arrogance.
Konan barely heard him. Her trembling hand touched the black rod impaling her, eyes wide in disbelief.
"Who… are you really?"
"The world believes Uchiha Madara died at Hashirama's hands," Obito murmured. "But the true victor… is the one who plans beyond death."
Everyone watching felt the chill.
[Boruto]: "Sasuke-sensei… Madara's still alive?"
[Sasuke]: "I… think he's probably dead. Maybe."
[Nagato]: "My Rinnegan came from him. His foresight runs deep."
[Itachi]: "Truly worthy of being our ancestor."
[Naruto]: "Guess the old saying fits—'The older the ginger, the spicier it gets!'"
[Shikamaru]: "Naruto… where do you find these sayings?"
The clouds parted.
Sunlight pierced through, forming a soft rainbow over the drenched ruins of the Rain Village.
For a moment, even Obito paused.
The Land of Rain—long known for its endless storms—had stopped crying.
It was as if the heavens themselves were mourning Konan's resolve.
She stared up at that fleeting rainbow, her voice steady despite the blood.
"Yahiko… Nagato… your will won't fade. Naruto will succeed. Until then—I'll be your pillar."
She pulled free from his grip, stumbling forward, hand raised.
A circle of paper blades spiraled upward like a halo, darting toward Obito.
He dodged. The ring missed, slamming into the sea and exploding into a geyser.
Obito struck back, tearing through the water's edge, black rods ready.
Another paper ring whirled up, trapping him between twin spirals.
But her chakra was spent.
Obito's hand flashed out, clutching her throat.
Her vision dimmed—
and darkness swallowed her in a genjutsu.
When she woke, she'd already told him Nagato's resting place.
Obito let her drop, limp, onto the water's surface.
Then he entered the ruined church, approaching Nagato's body.
The corpse's lips curved slightly—as if mocking him.
"You're dead… yet still smiling?"
Obito sighed, closing Nagato's eyes before sealing him into Kamui's void.
Then he turned and vanished, leaving the church silent once more.
The world above was speechless.
Konan had rehearsed the perfect deathtrap, and Obito had survived by the thinnest margin imaginable.
Both had fought with conviction—one for light, one for shadow.
In the end, information decided everything.
She couldn't know he'd use Izanagi.
[Tsubaki]: "Konan's jutsu could've blown up Konoha ten times over!"
[Boruto]: "Seriously though—why's our village in a crater?"
[Naruto (Adult)]: "Uh… ask your Uncle Nagato about that."
[Boruto]: "Why?"
[Naruto]: "He resurrected everyone in the village. As for why they needed resurrecting… best not ask."
[Inojin]: "So Konan's gone?"
[Shikadai]: "Seems like it. So what's Obito's next move?"
[Kakashi]: "Obito, please… stop this madness."
The image on the sky screen shifted—years later.
A new mask.
A new war.
Obito now bore the Rinnegan.
Six colossal chakra beasts stood behind him—each housing a tailed beast's power.
Gasps rippled across the world.
"He's even stronger!?"
