Chapter 16 - The Deadline.

[Need More Data.]

He quickly understood that the library is now crucial for him to understand this world more. He also noted to take Lin Feng's suggestion more seriously because of his suggestion he get to discover this new Data point.

Ten minutes later, he stepped out, dry and dressed in the black robes with the wolf pelt.

"Master! Master Tie Yuan!"

Lin Feng also came running down the path, holding a leaf-wrapped bundle.

"I got meat! Roasted boar!" Lin Feng panted, looking around. "Master... I heard voices? Was someone here?"

The T-800 ignored the meat.

"Ye Feiyu. And Lei Bo," the T-800 answered.

Lin Feng turned pale. He nearly dropped the boar. "The Crimson Spider and Mad Dog Lei? Together? Here?" He looked at the T-800 with wide, fearful eyes.

"Master... please... did you fight?"

"No fight."

"Oh, thank the heavens," Lin Feng sighed. "Ye Feiyu... she is dangerous. She uses... wicked arts. Did she talk to you?"

"Wicked arts?"

"Yes, she is the master of Rosy Cloud Charm! She used it on you? Master, are you okay? Did you... did you do anything... embarrassing?"

"No. My body got hot. My mind stayed cold," he stated simply. "It failed."

Lin Feng didn't believe it at first but then it didn't sound like a lie or excuse but the way Tie Yuan said it, it was a statement.

And if it was a lie then Tie Yuan would already be in her charm, following her like a dog. But in front of him Tie Yuan was standing like a statue which can weather any weather. His mind trying to understand the reach of his new master and could not comprehend.

"You... you resisted her charm... without losing your mind?" Lin Feng whispered. "Master... your willpower... it must be harder than diamond. Even Elders avoid looking her in the eye!"

"Willpower?" The T-800 logged the word in his database. It was inaccurate in his context, but efficient for his disguise. "Yes. Willpower."

"And Lei Bo?" Lin Feng asked nervously.

"He.." T-800 looked for the proper word in his database. "...barked, like a dog."

"Master…please beware of him. He is an inner sect expert!"

"Take me to the library," the T-800 commanded. "I need... data. I need to know more about... Qi."

"What about food?"

"I will eat that later…now lead the way."

"Yes! Yes, right away, Master!" Lin Feng bowed rapidly, inside his impression of the T-800 was now reaching new heights.

To withstand the witch and ignore the mad dog... this Northern Barbarian was a monster among monsters in this Boundless Seal Realm.

Meanwhile, Elder Jin was in his private study within the Hall of Law Enforcement, reviewing jade slips containing reports from the mining frontlines.

The Sun Lizard Clan was pushing hard. Resources were dwindling. The sect was bleeding.

"FEIYU! WAIT! STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM ME!"

A pathetic shouting broke Elder Jin's concentration.

A sudden flux of rage burst from Elder Jin as the jade slip in his hand cracked from the sudden pressure of his grip. His brow twitched. It was a voice he had heard far too often recently.

"FEIYU! YOU CANNOT IGNORE MY FEELINGS!"

"Get away from me, you obsessive lunatic!" She giggled, clearly enjoying it but acted to run away.

Elder Jin slammed the jade slip down. He stood up, his black armor clinking ominously. They are at war so that's why he is always in his armor, can't relax, his patience, already thin from the war reports, had just snapped.

He walked out of the study, his steps heavy and deliberate.

Today he will fix this idiotic farce.

As he stepped into the courtyard, his Ninth state Peak Core Formation Realm pressure exploded outwards like a sudden drop in gravity.

The shouting stopped instantly.

Lei Bo, who had been chasing Ye Feiyu near the moon gate, froze mid-step.

He was sweating, his eyes wild and perverted, looking less like a cultivator and more like a starving dog chasing his master begging for food or...

Ye Feiyu stood a few paces away, fixing her hair with an annoyed expression, though a flicker of fear crossed through her eyes as she felt the crushing pressure of Elder Jin's Ninth Stage Core Formation.

"Master!" Lei Bo stammered, quickly straightening his robes and bowing low.

"Shut up," Elder Jin said softly through his gritted jaw. Holding back his rage and the quietness of his voice was showing how much he is holding himself back.

He walked past Lei Bo, ignoring his personal disciple completely, and stopped in front of Ye Feiyu.

"Great Elder Jin," Ye Feiyu bowed gracefully, offering a smile that wasn't sincere but a flawless act. "Your disciple is... energetic today."

"Save your tongue, Crimson Spider," Elder Jin looked down at her coldly. "I have warned Lei Bo. I have punished Lei Bo. And yet, here we are. The Enforcer Corps is turning into a circus because my Lead Disciple is acting like a bitch in heat over you."

"That is hardly my fault, Elder," Ye Feiyu pouted, though she took a half-step back, she could tell that Elder Jin's patience has run out. "I am not using any charms on him. He does this... naturally. I have told him to leave me alone, many times."

"I know," Elder Jin stated flatly, his eyes had the expression that he knows more than what is presented. "If you were using charms on a core disciple of the sect, I would have ripped your skin off already. But your existence itself is a disruption in our sect's harmony."

Ye Feiyu stopped smiling.

"Our Shadow Wolf Sect is at war," Elder Jin continued. "We cannot afford internal strife caused by loose women and weak-willed men." He glared at his disciple and Ye Feiyu. "So, I am giving you a choice. An ultimatum."

Ye Feiyu got confused. "What choice?"

"Choose a Dual-Cultivation partner. Bind yourself to one man within the sect. Publicly."

Lei Bo's head snapped up, hope flaring in his desperate eyes, finally his master is taking action and making sure Ye Feiyu would be him. "Master! I…"
