"Tamayo-sama, we shouldn't meddle in others' affairs."
Yushiro's voice was laced with suppressed anger, his fingers unconsciously tightening.
"These Demon Slayer Corps members, who knows what their true intentions are?"
Tamayo ignored Yushiro's complaints and instead knelt down to examine the man who had been turned into a demon. A flicker of sympathy passed through her eyes.
Tamayo stood up and sighed softly, "This isn't a suitable place. Come with me, my residence is nearby."
"Tamayo-sama!"
Yushiro practically roared, stepping quickly in front of Tamayo to block her.
"This is too dangerous! They are demon slayers carrying nichirin swords!"
Tamayo shook her head slightly, her gaze passing over Yushiro and landing on the wooden box that Tanjiro was now carrying on his back.
Tamayo gently said, "Yushiro, although they are swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, they are not like others."
"Moreover, what that child is carrying in his box should also be a demon, right?"
Tanjiro was startled, instinctively placing his hand protectively on the wooden box, then realizing his mistake and retracting it.
Ryoma observed Tamayo's every move from the side, she gave him a very special feeling. From her aura, she was undoubtedly a demon, but her gentle demeanor was completely unlike other bloodthirsty demons.
As someone who could break free from Muzan's curse on her own, and even break limitations to create a demon like Yushiro herself, Ryoma was very curious about such an existence, but unfortunately, he couldn't sense anything particularly special.
"Tanjiro, we need help." Ryoma finally spoke, his voice calm.
"And this man who has been turned into a demon, as well as his wife, both need treatment."
Tamayo used her Blood Demon Art to put the demonized man into a deep sleep.
Yushiro reluctantly lifted the unconscious man, still muttering his displeasure.
The group quietly left the scene, silently passing through winding alleys.
Tamayo's residence was hidden deep within a secluded alley. From the outside, it looked like a dead end with a solid wall.
"A dead end?" Tanjiro frowned in confusion.
Yushiro snorted coldly and gently pressed his hand against the wall. Surprisingly, the wall rippled like water, and he passed directly through it.
Ryoma and Tanjiro followed, seeing the scenery of the courtyard inside.
"There's a mansion on the other side of a dead end." Tanjiro exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the mansion inside.
From the outside, it was impossible to tell that there was such a hidden world within, a mansion with a large courtyard.
Tamayo had gone ahead, taking the demonized man and his bitten wife inside to settle them.
Yushiro remained outside to lead Ryoma and the siblings, Tanjiro and Nezuko, inside.
"Hurry up."
Yushiro stood at the mansion's main gate, impatiently urging Tanjiro and the others, who were still stunned there.
When Ryoma and Tanjiro approached, Yushiro did not immediately step aside, but instead stared at them with a warning gaze.
"Listen well, you absolutely must not be disrespectful to Tamayo-sama."
He even glared fiercely at them and added, "I don't care what you do to me, I'm only bringing you here because Tamayo-sama asked me to."
Only after Tanjiro nodded solemnly did Yushiro reluctantly lead them into the house.
The group arrived in a room that resembled a medical clinic, with various medical charts hanging on the walls and shelves filled with medicine bottles and medical instruments.
The bitten woman had already been placed on a bed, and Tamayo was treating her wounds.
It was surprising that despite the blood continuously seeping from the wound, Tamayo's expression remained calm, completely devoid of the frenzy that ordinary demons displayed when faced with blood.
"Tamayo-san, thank you for your trouble earlier."
Ryoma was the first to speak, expressing his gratitude and inquiring about the condition of the two.
"How are this lady and that gentleman doing?"
Tamayo gently bandaged the woman's wound, then turned and replied, "This lady is fine."
She paused, a hint of apology flashing in her eyes. "Although I feel very bad about it, her husband has been tied up and locked in the cellar."
Tanjiro watched Tamayo's actions and the lady whose shoulder was stained with blood, hesitated for a moment, then spoke, "Doesn't it feel unpleasant to treat human wounds?"
Upon hearing this, Yushiro immediately became agitated and punched Tanjiro in the chest.
"You bastard..."
Tanjiro realized he had said the wrong thing and apologized with a bow.
Ryoma, standing nearby, did not intervene, as no substantial harm would be done, and Tanjiro had indeed spoken too quickly.
"Stop it, why use violence?"
It was Tamayo who spoke, reprimanding Yushiro, then she looked at Ryoma and the siblings, Tanjiro and Nezuko, and said, "We haven't introduced ourselves yet. My name is Tamayo, and that child is Yushiro. Please get along well with him."
Tanjiro looked at Yushiro, who was still gritting his teeth beside him, and couldn't help but smile bitterly internally. 'This... this is impossible...'
After introducing herself, Tamayo looked at Ryoma and said, "Since you have heard about me, you should also understand that we are not enemies, and we share a common enemy."
"Of course, please rest assured about that." Ryoma nodded in response.
Tamayo nodded upon hearing Ryoma's reply, then looked at Tanjiro and answered his earlier question, "I don't feel uncomfortable."
"It should be much easier compared to ordinary demons. After all, I have modified my body quite a bit, and I have also broken free from Muzan's curse."
"Curse? Mod... modified body?" Tanjiro's eyes widened in surprise.
Tamayo did not immediately answer Tanjiro's question, but instead took off her white coat.
Then she led them out of the examination room and into a tea room.
"Now, regarding the continuation of what was just discussed."
After everyone was seated, Tamayo continued, "We can live without eating humans, we only need to drink a small amount of human blood."
"Drink blood? But that..."
Although it wasn't eating humans, Tanjiro was still concerned that it was harming humans.
"Tanjiro, you can rest assured."
Ryoma explained in advance, "Tamayo-san obtains blood through normal channels, and it won't put any undue burden on those people's bodies. Isn't that right, Tamayo-san?"
Tamayo nodded approvingly. "Exactly. I help patients in exchange for small amounts of blood they voluntarily provide, none of this harms anyone."
In the subsequent conversation, when Tanjiro learned that Yushiro had actually been turned into a demon by Tamayo herself, he was so shocked he became incoherent.
"Eh? Was it you?! But... eh?"
"Tamayo-san." Ryoma helped Tanjiro get to the point.
"Since you can break free from Muzan's curse and can also turn people into demons, then may I ask, is there a way for someone who has already become a demon to turn back into a human?"
Tamayo turned to look at Nezuko. "You're asking this for this child, aren't you?"
Although Tanjiro was surprised that Ryoma would ask such a direct question, he felt that Tamayo could be trusted, so he nodded vigorously. "Nezuko is my sister. I must turn her back into a human."
Tamayo remained silent for a moment before giving an affirmative answer, "There is a way to turn a demon back into a human."
