"There's a way to turn a demon back into a human."
Tamayo's words exploded like thunder in Tanjiro's ears, making him tremble, and an expression of disbelief instantly erupted in his eyes.
"Re-really?! Tamayo-san! Is what you're saying true?! Is there really a way to turn Nezuko back into a human?!"
When he heard Tamayo's words, Tanjiro's overwhelming joy swept away his reason. He shot up from his seat, his voice trembling with immense hope.
Compared to Tanjiro's excitement, Ryoma's reaction was more acute. He noticed a fleeting hostility from Yushiro beside him and subtly reached out to press Tanjiro's shoulder, wanting him to calm down. This was to prevent Tanjiro from being beaten up by Yushiro again for offending Tamayo.
"Please tell me."
Tanjiro ignored Ryoma's obstruction, his eyes burning with fervent pleading.
Tamayo was silent for a moment before speaking truthfully, "No matter the injury or illness, there will always be medicine and a cure. Currently, there isn't a way to turn a demon back into a human, but it will certainly..."
Seeing the light that had just ignited in Tanjiro's eyes dim by half, she continued, "However, we want to finalize that cure, and for that, I have a favor to ask of you."
She paused, her expression serious. "To create the cure, a lot of demon blood needs to be researched. There are two things I'd like to ask of you."
Tanjiro said without hesitation, "What two things do you need done? No matter how difficult, I'll do them."
Tamayo looked at Tanjiro with a hint of inquiry and said, "The first is, please allow me to research your sister's blood. The second is, please try to collect blood from demons with a high concentration of Muzan's blood."
Yushiro grumbled unhappily, "Tamayo-sama, why are you telling them all this? They can't possibly accomplish these things."
Seeing Tamayo's deep gaze turn towards him, Yushiro immediately shut up and returned to his obedient demeanor.
Once Yushiro had settled down, Tamayo looked at Nezuko beside her and said, "Nezuko is currently in an extremely rare and special state. I heard you say she slept for two years, and it's likely her body changed during that time."
"Generally speaking, if a demon hasn't eaten human flesh or animal meat for so long, they would undoubtedly become violent. But astonishingly, Nezuko doesn't show that symptom."
"This miracle will surely be key in the future."
If Ryoma remembered correctly, Tanjiro's family had a deep connection with Yoriichi, the strongest Demon Slayer.
The earrings Tanjiro was wearing now belonged to Tsugikuni, and the "Dance of the Fire God" passed down through generations of the Kamado family was essentially the original Sun Breathing.
Moreover, Yoriichi's wife's grave was in the mountains behind Tanjiro's house, and the Blue Spider Lily that Muzan had always sought was nearby.
Muzan's attack on the Kamado family might have been triggered by some information he obtained from there.
However, the Blue Spider Lily only bloomed briefly during the day, so Muzan was destined not to obtain it.
Nezuko, and even Tanjiro, were different. Besides the "Dance of the Fire God," they had both come into contact with the Blue Spider Lily. This was probably the key to Nezuko's changes and her subsequent ability to overcome the sun.
At this moment, after giving Tanjiro some time to react, Tamayo continued, "The second request will be very cruel. We need a large number of samples containing a high concentration of Muzan's blood. And the closest to Muzan are his subordinates—the Twelve Kizuki."
"The Twelve Kizuki?"
Tanjiro didn't know much about this, so he was a bit confused.
"The Twelve Kizuki are the twelve strongest demons under Muzan." Tamayo explained.
"The Twelve Kizuki, huh."
Ryoma took over, "The Lower Ranks might be manageable, but the Upper Ranks... Tamayo-san, for hundreds of years, the Demon Slayer Corps' Hashira haven't slayed a single Upper Rank. That might be too difficult."
Tamayo gave Ryoma a deep look, then turned to Tanjiro and asked, "Indeed, it won't be easy to obtain blood from those demons. Even so, will you agree to this request?"
Tanjiro clenched his fists, looked up, and his crimson eyes were no longer confused, only resolute. "If there's no other way, I'll do it. If this can create medicine, then not only Nezuko, but many more people can be saved."
"No matter how difficult it is, I must get that blood." A determined flame burned in Tanjiro's eyes.
Yushiro sneered, "Do you know how strong the Twelve Kizuki are? Throughout history, a Demon Slayer Corps member could become a Hashira by killing a Lower Rank, but the Upper Ranks have never been defeated for hundreds of years. What makes you think you can do it?"
Tamayo looked at Tanjiro, a hint of relief flashing in her eyes. "I feel your resolve. However, before that, you still need to become stronger."
Ryoma quietly observed all of this from the side. He knew the subsequent plot development and understood that the current Tanjiro was indeed too weak.
But Tamayo's appearance finally gave them a clear and visible goal, even if it was somewhat challenging for now.
"Tamayo-san, I have a question."
Ryoma began, "Since you were able to break free from Muzan's curse, how much do you know about his abilities?"
Tamayo pondered for a moment and said, "Muzan's abilities... are very complex. My understanding of his abilities isn't comprehensive either. And he seems to be able to change his appearance at will, and he can also read thoughts, ascertain locations, and even control actions through his curse."
"If anyone harbors thoughts of betrayal or leaks information about him, the curse will immediately activate."
"Read thoughts... ascertain locations... control actions?" Tanjiro looked worriedly at Nezuko.
"Don't worry."
Tamayo shook her head. "Your sister's situation is very special. She seems to be naturally immune to Muzan's complete control. This might also be why she can maintain her sanity."
No sooner had she spoken than Ryoma suddenly stood up, his gaze sharp as he looked out at the courtyard hidden by talismans.
"Ryoma?"
Tanjiro was a little surprised by Ryoma's sudden movement.
Tamayo and Yushiro also instantly became alert, looking at Ryoma.
Ryoma didn't turn around, a cold arc forming on his lips.
Tamayo and Yushiro reacted immediately, realizing that Ryoma must have sensed something.
Ryoma still knew the original plot. Muzan, having seen Tanjiro's earrings, would absolutely not let him go.
So after arriving here, he had used his magic to sense the surroundings, and sure enough, Muzan's pursuers had arrived.
He spoke in a low voice, his words echoing clearly in the quiet room, "It seems our new guests have arrived."
