The Nine Refinements of Will

If you are reading this, you have already seen blood spilled like rain, bodies turned to metal dust, and children born with eyes that make the sky itself scream.

This is the truth behind it all.

### 1. There Is No Qi or Chi and Kai. There Is Only Will and Blood.

In our world, the energy that moves mountains and splits seas is not some invisible "qi or chi and kai" floating in the air.

It is **Will**, the raw force of a soul's desire, imagination, and refusal to break.

Every living person is born with Will.

But Will alone is powerless.

To turn Will into strength, you must open an **Aperture**, a metaphysical organ that exists inside the flesh but is not made of flesh.

The Aperture is the furnace.

The fuel is **divine or demonic beast blood**.

Without beast blood, you remain **Lead**, mortal, forever.

### 4. Blood Is Life. Lose Blood, Lose Everything.

This is the cruel law that keeps even the strongest in fear:

- Every drop of beast blood you have ever absorbed is stored inside your Aperture.

- Bleed heavily → Aperture shrinks → you fall ranks instantly.

- Lose more than 70 % of your total blood → Aperture collapses completely → you are Lead again, or dead.

That is why high-rank battles look like festivals of blood and light.

They are burning lifetimes of collected beast blood just to stay alive for one more breath.

### 5. Will – The Three Axes That Decide Everything

Even with the same rank and same amount of blood, two cultivators can feel worlds apart because of their **Will**:

1. **Strength of Will** – How much blood you can force the Aperture to contain without exploding.

2. **Control** – How precisely you can shape and move the Aperture during combat.

3. **Imagination** – The forms your power takes. A poet at Steel rank can create wings of moonlight. A butcher at Steel rank only gets bigger fists.

A mortal (Lead) with monstrous Will can sometimes stare down a Tin or Copper cultivator and make them hesitate.

You have already met one such mortal. His name is Zhung even now powers his will is never broken.

### 6. Divine Blood vs Demonic Blood

- **Divine blood** (from heavenly beasts, phoenixes, dragons, qilin, etc.)

Stable, radiant, lawful. Slower to refine, but grants perfect control and holy might.

- **Demonic blood** (from hell beasts, nine-tailed foxes, abyssal serpents, etc.)

Chaotic, corrosive, explosive. Faster growth, but risks madness and mutation.

To reach Diamond, a cultivator must somehow fuse **one complete divine bloodline** and **one complete demonic bloodline** inside the same Aperture without destroying themselves.

No one has ever succeeded through cultivation.

### 7. The Taboo Born – Children Heaven Itself Fears

Extremely rarely, a child is born already possessing a complete Aperture from the womb.

- Pure Demonic Child → born Iron or higher, surrounded by hellfire and madness at birth.

- Pure Divine Child → born with healing light that can regrow forests overnight.

- Twin-Blood Child → born in perfect Diamond state. The sky splits. Time stops. Heaven descends in avatar form to erase them before they draw a second breath.

Only three or four Twin-Blood Children are whispered to have ever existed.

Their names were erased from history.

Their birthplaces were turned into forbidden dead zones that still float in the sky to this day.

### 8. Why Diamond Is Called "Impossible"

Because heaven itself designed the world so no cultivator can ever gather and balance both complete bloodlines.

Divine and demonic beasts of that level are extinct, guarded by heavenly tribulations, or hidden in realms no human can reach.

The path was cut off on purpose.

Or so heaven wants you to believe.

This is the world Zhung was reborn into.

A world that measures strength in stolen blood and broken bodies.

A world that calls the peak "impossible" because the ones who reach it are killed before they can cry.

One day soon, a boy with black eyes and a healed left arm will begin to collect the very blood heaven tried to hide.

And when he does, the metals will learn what it feels like to be afraid.

##Mortal Steps

### The First Step: From Mortal (Lead) to Tin – The Trial of Blood and Agony

No one becomes a cultivator by meditating under a waterfall.

No one is "chosen" by heaven.

There is only one gate, and it is made of pain.

#### How a Mortal Opens the Aperture

1. **Obtaining the Blood**

You must personally kill (or at least wound) a divine or demonic beast and drink its blood while it is still hot and alive with Will.

Cold blood, preserved blood, or blood taken from a corpse older than one hour is useless.

2. **The Drinking**

A single mouthful is already lethal to normal humans.

Most mortals drink one to five drops and hope.

Geniuses drink ten to fifty drops in one go.

3. **The Reconstruction (The True First Tribulation)**

The moment the blood touches your soul, your body begins to die and be reborn at the same time.

- Your veins catch fire.

- Your bones are shattered into powder and re-forged one by one.

- Your organs are torn out and replaced by something that is no longer entirely human.

- Worst of all: the **Aperture begins to tear open somewhere inside your flesh**.

The location is random and merciless:

- If it opens in your eyes → you will feel red-hot needles carving tunnels through your pupils for days.

- If it opens in your spine → every heartbeat feels like a hammer striking exposed nerves.

- If it opens in your tongue or throat → you scream until your vocal cords liquefy, then regrow, then liquefy again.

- The most agonising recorded cases: Aperture forming inside the brain or the heart. Some survivors say they felt their own thoughts being skinned alive.

4. **Success or Failure**

Here it is — same info, no changes, no table, just clean text one-by-one:

---

1–9 drops consumed

Chance of Success: 70–85%

If You Survive: Tin Initial stage

If You Fail: Crippled for life, constant pain

---

10–29 drops consumed

Chance of Success: 40–60%

If You Survive: Tin Mid to Late stage

If You Fail: Brain-dead, body lives in endless agony until death

---

30–50 drops consumed

Chance of Success: 10–25%

If You Survive: Copper Initial to Mid stage

If You Fail: Explode into bloody mist

---

50+ drops consumed

Chance of Success: Less than 3%

If You Survive: Copper Late stage or higher (legendary geniuses only)

If You Fail: Soul erased, body turns into a metal statue

---

Failure = the Aperture tears open but collapses halfway.

Your nervous system remains half-reconstructed.

You live the rest of your life feeling every nerve ending scream in perfect clarity, unable to die, unable to sleep, unable to even lose consciousness.

Sects call them "Living Statues" and keep them chained in courtyards as warnings.

5. **Success – The Birth of Tin**

If your Will holds, the reconstruction finishes.

The Aperture seals into its final (or temporary) location.

Your skin takes on the dull metallic sheen of Tin.

You are no longer mortal.

You are now the weakest cultivator alive — and you will never forget the price.

Some geniuses survive 40+ drops on their first try and leap straight to Copper.

Most people spend their entire lives trying to gather ten safe drops and still fail.

### Why So Few Cultivators Exist

- One low-grade demonic beast can provide 20–80 drops total.

- Killing it usually requires a team of Tin or Copper cultivators.

- The strongest beasts (the ones with thousands of drops) are guarded by heavenly tribulations or live in forbidden zones.

- And even if you get the blood… you still have to survive drinking it.

This is the world's first filter.

Nine out of ten who try die screaming or worse.

The one who survives is Tin — and the climb has only just begun.

### Final Warning Written in Every Sect Entrance

"Pain is the toll.

Blood is the coin.

Will is the only thing that decides whether you become a god…

or a warning carved in living flesh."

Mortals read it and laugh.

Survivors read it and still wake up screaming years later.

This is the gate Gue Zhung has not yet stepped through.

When he finally does, the world will remember what real Will looks like.

End of Auxiliary Chapter.

May your Aperture open in a kind place… if it opens at all.

Cause everything in this world is all gamble with high risk and high rewards.
