Chapter 6 - Holding a Spoiled Brat Captive.

"You really call this filet mignon? It's barely edible."

The plate flew against Kaleir's face, staining him completely. The tiger man couldn't believe the audacity of that brat.

"I-I'm sorry to hear that, but it's the best we can offer you," the man replied, trying to stay calm.

He wasn't dealing with just anyone, but with Lloyd Morfeus, son of the mafia boss.

Kaleir himself had had a meeting with that man moments ago. He knew how dangerous he was and how delicate this situation was.

Though it was difficult to deal with the blond, who didn't miss any opportunity to humiliate them. He was even using one of his men as a footrest.

It was outrageous, but that brat had been attacked by his men; if he didn't fix this, Baltazar would end them.

"Really? Pathetic, you can't even receive a guest properly. I suppose I overestimated you too much, I shouldn't forget you're street dogs," the blond replied, the living image of arrogance.

Lloyd wasn't happy; they'd not only attacked him, but they'd also almost killed his companions. In fact, he didn't know if Gustavo had survived or not, which kept him anxious.

The boy hadn't experienced it directly, but he had many memories with that boy, who had sacrificed himself to save him... If he was dead, Lloyd wouldn't know what to feel.

The blond wanted revenge. It was a burning feeling in his chest, the need to return the evil that had been done to him.

Lloyd wasn't a vengeful person, at least not in his old life; however, this body seemed to influence his feelings.

Also, his pride, while it started as an attempt to imitate the original Lloyd, he felt a pride that wasn't his own.

"Hey, watch your words brat," a voice growled.

Lloyd recognized it instantly, it was the cat man who had attacked him.

The boy gritted his teeth, he felt his blood boiling.

"What's this bastard doing here!?" Lloyd exclaimed while getting up from his chair.

He couldn't control that emotion, he needed to see that bastard pay.

"Don't worry, I'll personally take care of punishing my subordinate for his mistake," Kaleir said, somewhat nervously.

Lloyd fixed his gaze on the man, his red eyes glowing with fury.

"Excuse me? This son of a bitch is your subordinate?" Without fear, Lloyd approached the man, who was almost twice his size. "BOW DOWN WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!"

Kaleir gritted his teeth, but obeyed, kneeling on one knee.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow.

"You think that's enough? Lower."

The man's eyes widened in surprise, he couldn't believe he was receiving such humiliation from a brat in front of his men.

But it was necessary to survive.

The man bowed even more, his forehead against the ground, at Lloyd's feet.

"That's better."

A smile appeared on the boy's face, who placed his foot on the xeno's head.

"Now we can continue talking. A rival gang to yours kidnapped me, and you arrived and killed those responsible to save me. Right?"

The tiger man was confused, that wasn't what had happened. When he found out his men had kidnapped some kids, he got scared.

That broke the contract he made with Baltazar.

But his surprise increased when one of the children claimed to be the son of the mafia head.

It was an even bigger problem. He had to treat him with the utmost respect if he wanted to survive, that's why he obeyed every request.

But there was no rival gang.

"I don't understand, Mr. Lloyd. What do you—"

"YOU DAMN IDIOT!" the boy stomped on the man, then rubbed his foot on his nape. "Do I have to explain everything to you?"

The boy then moved away from Kaleir, while pointing at certain xenos present.

"Him, him, this one and especially this one here," the blond said, pointing at those who had attacked him. "Those bastards are members of a gang rival to yours. Got it?"

The tiger man straightened up, he was starting to understand the boy's words.

"Y-you want me to kill them?" the man swallowed.

It was ridiculous; he knew every member of the gang, and they were all his friends. The cat man was one of his childhood friends, he still remembered when they played together or stole some food for lunch.

He wasn't just a subordinate, he was a brother.

"Is the xenobrain really that underdeveloped? Yes. Or would you prefer I tell my father they're your accomplices and this was all your plan?"

Kaleir was left speechless. The air had become denser now, and the tension was palpable.

All eyes were fixed on Lloyd. How could he be such a jerk? Who did he think he was?

There was a mix of surprise and hatred directed at him, but he didn't care.

Lloyd was aware of the power he had right now. The boss knew his father, so he knew what would happen if he didn't obey.

It was twisted and cruel, but he didn't care. In his eyes, they were no longer human, he didn't even see them as living beings.

"So? What are you waiting for?" the blond's voice broke the silence again. "Get your fat ass up and finish those bastards. Got it? Or do you need a diagram?"

Lloyd felt the surrounding xenos give him hateful looks, but he cared little.

Kaleir rose slowly, approaching Lloyd little by little.

"Finally, it really took you a while to decide," Lloyd complained; however, the xeno didn't obey this time. Instead, he grabbed him by the shirt and lifted him. His feet left the ground. "W-what are you doing?"

Lloyd began to feel nervous. Had he gone too far? The xeno's patience had to have a limit, and he didn't know what would happen if it was exceeded.

"This has gone too far," the tiger man said, while his fist rose. "I won't tolerate one more word."

Lloyd's heart began to pound. He'd been stupid; this wasn't a safe place. It was the enemy's den.

Maybe his father was feared, but they were criminals. A gang that surely let themselves be carried more by emotions than common sense, even if they feared for their lives, there was a limit to what they could endure.

"B-but my father," Lloyd stammered, in an attempt to dissuade the beast.

But it was useless.

"Your father can suck my entire dick," Kaleir roared, his arm descending at great speed toward Lloyd's face.

He was done for... But just at that moment, the door opened with a bang. Kaleir's fist stopped centimeters from the boy's face.

"You..." a deep voice resonated in the room, accompanied by a dense pressure. "Get your filthy claws off my son."

Baltazar had arrived.
